Great Learning

It was hard for me to convinced my dad to let me enter the course. that is because, i am still a student, and the fee is near RM7k when you convert it from USD to Malaysian ringgit. But, he let me entered the course due to the quality of the university. I convinced him that this university can offer me the best teachings on the subject. My goal after the course is that i can be more knowledgeable in data science so it would help me later in my studies (i am astronomy major so this course would help me to utilize data science in astronomy). not suprisingly, the course did help me understand a lot on data science and machine learning. really recommend this course for anyone who wants to use this knowledge for future needs, or who is passionate in learning this topic or just learning in general.  Read less

I studied the course which just ended Aug 2022, the content was very good, we had coding assignments (Python) which simulate the material covered at the course.

The course program managers were absolute great and understand and help a lot to finalize all the work needed.

The MIT IDSS & Great Learning nailed it. I loved the way the professors present concepts capturing what's truly the essence. They speak from their research and also the content from some of the best books is covered. I'd say you can't miss this, it's really good. It lets you cover a whole lot in a short time. I cant take one professors name as each of them was super great. The Mentor Hojjat Salehinejad Very helpful, Hojjat Salehinejad would go beyond what's expected and give us excellent practical insights and direction from his professional experience and years of experience. The Case Studies designed well, they give you the hand on exposure. The Great Learning course Support team coordinator is great, responds immediately and resolves the tickets raised by attendees. My cohort was very good too, they ask great questions which makes the sessions even more interesting. Don't ever go to great learning any course never invest single rupee, I have pay them for aiml course huge amount of money 2 lakh 10 thousand for getting job, they don't have good faculty also after taking admission I was having Medical problem so I asked them to refund my money but they said you can do course afterwards and when I asked them that I want to do course again they refused .never ever go to this institute placement to bahut dur ki baat hai apana paise bhi waste karoge Read less

I would recommend this course to people with some experience in data science. The way the courses are taught is great. The program has a hands on session for each course but still  lacks in more taught hands on experience. Overall the program was great.  Read less

I am a current student of this program and I joined another similar  program  in coursera prior to joining this program. I could not continue my earlier program as it was very hard and no help from the program available for me to succeed the hard syllabus and the program was demanding more than 20 hours weekly. My current job didn’t allow me to contribute that much time, but still I wanted to  learn AL/ML, so I joined this program. I am still not able to find as much time but I am comfortable with this program, I am able to finish the videos, weekly quizzes, mentor sessions and the project. I signed up for this course to learn data science. The advertising states it is a program where you do not need coding experience (you do).  It was supposed to be, "post grad" meaning a master's level (test at PhD level with year's experience).  I paid a lot of hard earned cash for this program and I do not feel it is worth it.  Of the instructors, only one is from the United States, and only one class.  The others have thick accents, and the head of all of it speaks very fast, does not use complete sentences, and often does not finish the thought. For example, he might say, "The two main things are first sequential, but with sequential....." and never get around to the second main thing.  But you will be tested as though you have been told.  All session are pre-recorded.    My other issues are: the program manager (your contact person) has changed 3 times in just 4 months; the mentor (you see once a week for two hours and have no option to ask questions about the videos (because they don't watch them) have changed, I am on my second mentor in 4 months,  there is no where to go for help, you are completely on your own to learn all topics (what am I paying for?), the tests do not match the material (teach very basic, but test like you have done it years with no previous examples in the materials), language barrier if you are from the USA, very SLOW to grade projects that take weeks to do, but don't provide the time, and very little feedback, so you don't know if you learned it right or not. For the price, it is not worth it, and it does not live up to the University of Texas brand or name.  Shame on this program for taking people's money and not delivering a quality product.  Very disappointed and now, broke.   Read less

I loved the program, its interesting and teaches you so many things!! It is a power pack course aiming to make you a data scientist within 6 months. This course does require some discipline, but in the end it is all worth it !!

I started this course with great learning to build data science capabilities in my organisation, this course has been so helpful to create and cater and explore various different business fronts! We ended up training more people in our organisation in the same course, by far, the business and analytical side of the program is fantastic!I can confidently say, they deliver what they promise, and they deliver to the best!  Read less
