Over the past 6–7 months, we have completed five projects covering Python Foundations, Machine Learning, Advanced ML, Neural Networks, and Computer Vision, and we are now diving deeper into Neural Networks. While mastering so many concepts has been challenging, the concept videos and expert instructors have done an excellent job of building each topic step by step, making the learning process engaging and effective.
The quizzes and assessments have kept us on our toes, reinforcing our understanding, while the Mentored Learning sessions have been invaluable for clarifying doubts and deepening our knowledge. I am currently taking the Post Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: Business Applications (PGP-AIML) offered by The University of Texas at Austin's McCombs School of Business, in collaboration with Great Learning. The course is exceptionally well-structured, curated, and organized. It is optimally paced, providing valuable information and knowledge with a strong focus on case studies addressing real-life business problems. This makes it easy to see how various Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques and algorithms can be applied to solve these challenges.

The concepts are thoroughly explained by knowledgeable senior faculties and industry professionals who guide us as mentors in weekly sessions. The hands-on experience with various techniques is incredibly effective in understanding those concepts, and the project assignments further help in applying them. The challenges encountered during project work clarify many doubts and solidify my grasp of the techniques.

Moreover, the learning platform, Olympus, is well-designed, making it easy for students to navigate between different sections and access ample material to master the concepts. The course offers various facilities, including access to cutting-edge resources, interactive learning modules, and continuous support from program managers. I am at the tail end of my "Post-Grad Program in AI & ML: Business Applications" with The University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business and Great Learning. I was given a phrase at the beginning, "Trust the Process". More valuable words have never been said. The information taught starts to build upon itself and makes logical sense from the first course onward. 
The way I have been supported by numerous personnel should be a great source of pride for the faculty and staff. My program manager Debanwee is always there to lend a virtual hand, no matter the topic. Additionally, the portal for learners, (we're learners, not students lol! I just love that), "Olympus" is well thought out and intuitive. Olympus is stocked full of curriculum and course material. The "class" videos are easily digestible and if any portion isn't readily understood, there are ample subject matter experts there for support and there are weekly, live, virtual classes led by very knowledgeable people who will take the time to answer any & all queries, issues, or otherwise. There are also additional non-mandatory courses that can fill in any knowledge-gaps a learner may have. They seem to have thought of everything. 
I was sidelined from my career by a medical crisis, and now that it is time to return to my IT career, this sort of upskilling couldn't be more perfect. Many kudos to all those responsible for making this program available. Read less

The course was at once challenging and satisfying! The closest I had come to AI was through playing around with Expert Systems, and the last time I did any coding, it was in Visual Basic - So the No-Code approach was made for me! As for Machine Learning, a good knowledge of statistical analysis could have helped me, but I disliked those classes during my undergraduate degree in Engineering. However, the universe was very forgiving when it allowed me to come across this No-code ML+AI course by MIT, which did not assume any prior knowledge of statistics and maths. Everything you need to know is introduced and explained in the course. However, I couldn't get over the ease with which the faculty made very complicated concepts so easily understood. In the course, one only needed to understand what the concepts meant and their role in the topic at hand, so I did not need to manipulate any complex maths or stats to make significant progress on the course. I found the Mentored Learning Sessions, taken by experts from the industry, very helpful in grounding the theoretical concepts in business use cases to which I could relate. This was almost always followed by hands-on sessions with experts who showed you how to use the no-code tools. I joined the October 2024 Cohort and am due to finish the course in mid-February 2025. despite working full-time, I was always excited to set aside 10-14 hours each week to review the materials, prepare for the various assessments and projects, and attend the Mentored sessions. I have thoroughly enjoyed upgrading my knowledge of AI and Machine Learning, and I am inspired now to use my new skills in my day job. I certainly recommend the Great Learning Team and the MIT Faculty, who have made my journey of discovery so enjoyable! Read less

Very nice experience with all the software support and learning from video lectures and mentor sessions. They are very informative and insightful of real world applications using real world examples and assignments. However they are many other domains in AI such as reinforcement learning, and if they can be included will be better for the completeness of the program Read less

The course helped me to get familiarize with various tools to analyze the data and derive great insights out of it. I applied the learnings from the course  in my day to day work  that helped me to standout. I have been a lawyer in the life sciences space for almost 30 years.  In the last couple of years, the topic of AI seemed to be a part of every conversation, and it also seemed like no one, including myself, really understood what it meant.  As a lawyer, how can I truly understand the risk and legal implications of AI if I don't understand what it is?  I researched various courses and selected the UT McCombs AI & Machine Learning: Business Applications Program based on the breadth and depth of the Program and the cost. 

It has been hard.  I had never coded and learning Python was very difficult.  I was frustrated most of the time.  Fortunately, Debanwee Ghosh, my Program Manager, was always encouraging and supportive.  Without her, I definitely would have quit.  She has been great about finding resources and she is always soliciting feedback to make the Program stronger and student-centric.  

I really like the Program's learning model.  During the week, you watch videos and take quizzes to learn the theory, and the weekend session is used to apply the theory to an actual business case.  During that same session, students have the opportunity to ask questions and get immediate feedback.  The instructors have been very good.  My only note is that there isn't one single female instructor which seems out of step with the study body composition and industry trends.  

As I approach the end of the Program, I am not only sad that it is wrapping up, but I am also so please that I did it.  I have increased my understanding of AI a thousand percent, and I am confident that I can bring much more value to my work than I did before.  Thank you! Read less
