I decided to submit this review because I had a wrong opinion about online courses. I was convinced that a course had to be in person to guarantee the full experience. Even if online platforms work, I believed that nothing could compare to being there in person, directly interacting with others. But I decided to give it a try anyway.What I discovered is that Great Learning solved ALL the issues of online courses.First of all, they have an amazing online platform where all the lessons are recorded, and all the material is stored. There are lots of quizzes to help you with the learning process (not graded), but also constant graded tests once per week. The user interface is very well designed and easy to use, and your schedule is always perfectly organized.But this is only the beginning. On the platform, you can find tons of forums where you can talk with other colleagues, share ideas, and ask for help if needed.And this is just the beginning of the beginning.What makes Great Learning the best organization of its kind are the assistants and the mentors. The mentors, who are highly experienced professionals, are always ready to answer any question — and their lessons are absolutely stunning.But in my opinion, what really makes this experience feel exactly like being there in person are the assistants. I’ve never received an answer in more than an hour; usually, it's within half an hour. Every problem was solved, and every question was answered. It feels like having a personal assistant who genuinely cares about you and your progress.Trust Great Learning; not only will you never regret it, but you will also discover that online learning can be as engaging, enjoyable, and effective as an in-person experience. The platform itself was highly intuitive, offering seamless navigation, well-organized content, and an engaging user interface. Accessing course materials, participating in discussions, and tracking progress was smooth and efficient.A major highlight of the course was the exceptional program management. Tripti, the program manager, ensured a flawless learning journey. She was always responsive, supportive, and proactive in addressing any questions or concerns, making sure all participants stayed engaged and had the best experience possible. Her dedication truly stood out.The course content was top-notch, featuring a well-structured curriculum that covered key concepts in data science and machine learning with real-world applications. The instructors, from MIT IDSS, provided deep insights into making data-driven decisions, ensuring that theoretical knowledge was complemented with practical examples.While the course was excellent, adding more hands-on projects or case studies could further enhance practical learning. I discovered Great Learning through an MIT Data Science course jointly offered by both institutions, called the Applied Data Science Program. Since beginning my AI learning journey three years ago, I’ve attended several esteemed programs—including those provided by Wharton School of Business, Indiana University, and eCornell School—completing many 3–4 month courses along the way. Great Learning stands alongside the best of them, thanks to the outstanding quality of its mentors, course content, and program managers.

That said, I must emphasize that the Great Learning’s Generative AI for Natural Language Processing program is truly a masterpiece.

This course is ideal for anyone serious about understanding and mastering Generative AI, covering everything from foundational principles to the latest advances in AI agent workflows, fine-tuning, and advanced RAG. It is very hands-on, providing learners with practical skills and the confidence to tackle advanced AI projects.

What truly distinguishes the experience is the program manager’s proactive and responsive support. From day one, they cultivate strong engagement within the cohort, ensuring a smooth and effective learning journey.

Overall, this has been the best course from Great Learning that I’ve taken so far.

I enrolled in this class to learn Generative AI and prompt engineering, especially hands on for the latter. This class had it all, as I learned to use Azure Open AI console, then python programming leveraging API connection to Azure open AI chatgpt. I feel I reached both objectives, and like the fact that the Python coding was intermediate so I could focus on learning prompt engineering, especially hands-on. The class had also academic advisors who really made a big difference and helped often. The instructor is worked with was also excellent. Overall a great class with a curriculum that is not easily found elsewhere. My experience so far has been good. There is a lot of material covered, and after dusting off old math skills, I've learned a ton.  The faculty is knowledgeable and friendly, the curriculum was a good pace. The course provided by Great Learning was an excellent learning experience. I recently completed the Generative AI and NLP course, and I found Great Learning’s approach very helpful.

The curriculum was well-organized and structured. The recorded content was detailed, clear, and came with useful examples and additional reference materials. Weekly live classes every weekend provided a great platform to clarify doubts directly with mentors and professors, who were always knowledgeable, patient, and quick to address any questions.

Great Learning's program manager was very supportive throughout my learning journey. They ensured smooth access to resources, were always available, handled general queries effectively, and provided prompt responses, even offering 24/7 support when required.

Their online learning management system, Olympus, is extremely effective and very user-friendly, making the experience of online learning seamless, practical, and enjoyable. 



Some aspects I loved about this program include its thorough training, which includes various practice case studies and hands-on projects and the fact that all classes and sessions are recorded, so students can easily revisit the material at their convenience, allowing for a more personalized learning pace. 



I also had the privilege of working with an amazing Program Manager who was patient, understanding, resourceful, and always ready to help by providing quick clarification and assistance in all aspects of the program whenever needed. Furthermore, Great Learning’s incredibly supportive Academic Team was always available to assist us with any questions or concerns regarding our studies.

The delivery schedule was imposing. The curriculum was designed with depth and flexibility, with sessions from preparatory modules to intensive weekend mentored learning and even special breaks that allowed deep dives into hands-on masterclasses. I have been enrolled in the AI/ML course offered by Great Learning for about 5 months now and targeting to wrap up by end of March. Overall, it has been very useful for me in understanding AI/ML concepts. What I find particularly useful is that the instructors/mentors are actual professionals from the industry. They are able to provide guidance based on their real world experience which helps in grasping the ideas better. The weekly quizzes are a good way to validate understanding of the course materials. The videos accompanying them are from instructors who are very knowledgeable and soaking up all that information is definitely challenging, but very useful.  Using Python, to validate models etc., was a lot more easier for me than when I tried using R earlier as part of something else. The projects are tailored to test out the understanding of the concepts even more in depth and take a significant amount of investment in time, but the learning gained as part of that process is difficult to replicate in other ways. The course is hectic without being overwhelming, requires dedication and focus rather than rote memorization. The knowledge gained as part of this course has definitely given me confidence in the overall AI/ML domain and I hope to leverage it to further my career aspirations.  Read less
