I did not know Python. This MIT|Great Learning Data Science Program systematically taught Python and data science tools built into the Python language. The data science tools plus essential theoretical background material are thoroughly explained. Both lecture material and coding examples are provided. The program includes Zoom lectures for large audiences and Zoom mentored learning sessions for small groups of students. Slack-based communications between students, mentors and program managers is useful for getting questions answered and coordinating the program.
Nitish, the program manager for my cohort, was excellent.

The learning journey was really amazing. It was a combination of recorded lectures and Instructor-led mentoring sessions which you can learn on your own time and at the same time got your questions answered by the instructors during the mentoring sessions.
I really like how the lectures were planned and organized where there are tests after each lesson to enhance and strengthen my learning.
Also, the list of projects equipped me with the skills for the real-life activities. Excellent learning experience!

The lectures and mentoring sessions were led by MIT instructors and the program was managed and supported by Great Learning. One of the nicest things about it is the mentored learning sessions involve experts in the field and it feels very privileged to receive their instructions and ask questions. It is at a fast pace but generally flexible. It covers a wide variety of topics and narrow in your focus as you go which I think is a good way to do it.
