As a software developer and a current master's student in computer science, my academic and professional journey has been deeply intertwined with technology. My interest specifically lies in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), technologies I believe have the potential to revolutionize industries by automating labor-intensive processes and enhancing the quality of human life.

I recently completed the well structured No Code AI - Machine learning program provided by Great learning/MIT faculty. Firstly I would like to thank my program manager Ms. Kamakshi for her continuous support and keeping us up to date on all announcements and deadlines. I have been working in software engineering since 1998. I never stop learning new technologies in my career, but rarely have I decided to take a program lasting multiple months. In 2023, like everyone else, I was completely captivated by the power of AI with the help of LLM tools like ChatGPT. Luckily, my past colleagues had taken UT’s Post Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and strongly recommended it to me. I am glad that I took their advice! 

The program provided by Great Learning has some nice features that stand out from the crowd. The video lessons are properly divided into short sections, and each section has its own quiz, with a larger quiz per weekly topic. Each week, a live learner session is provided by an industry instructor who helps review the content and answer questions. Your peers can also provide valuable questions there too. The program also has a dedicated program manager (thank you Nikita!) and an academic team to support any doubts during the courses. 

I love that the pace of each course is well designed. I was afraid that I would have trouble picking up statistics and Python, but it turned out that they have very good material to bootstrap me to begin this journey. I would say as long as you are disciplined and actively follow the courses, finish the quizzes and monthly projects, you will be fine!  I'm incredibly grateful that I had the opportunity to take this 3 month program for Data Science and Machine Learning. I came into this program as a software developer wanting to transition into building Machine Learning models. It was such a comprehensive learning experience and I'm walking away with not only a real world application for Machine Learning and Al techniques and application but also, a better in-depth review of all the statistics and calculus calculations that go behind it. The platform was user friendly and organized, focusing on specific ML techniques each week as well as providing weekly live mentor sessions with walk through and live codding. There were such informative and great learning content as well as countless case studies for you to practice and apply what you were learning with each module.

I work as a Vendor Project Manager at a localization company and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Texas at Arlington.
I chose to enroll in this program to transition my career into a growing industry. The program, offered in partnership with an accredited university, seemed like a solid step forward for me professionally.
My learning experience throughout the program was excellent. The curriculum was meticulously designed to maximize learning over 6 months. It included pre-recorded video lectures organized into multi-section modules, live online lectures where students could interact with the instructor, supplementary articles for deeper understanding, and additional modules without deadlines to further enhance learning.
My favorite aspect of the program was the hands-on projects. These projects provided practical solutions to real business problems and reinforced the concepts learned in the modules. Completing these projects significantly boosted my confidence in solving practical business problems.
My key takeaway from this program is that it teaches you enough understanding of the different specialties in the industry for you to decide what specialty you’d like to further your career in. You will solve a variety of business-practical problems and learn of the concepts and theories that make up solving those problems with precision.
For aspiring learners considering joining this program, I would highly recommend it as a starting point in the AI/Machine Learning industry. It is an excellent decision to take this course. 

Thanks to it I learned programming in Python, which is currently an indispensable tool in many jobs.

And not only that, I really liked the way they teach the course, they have short videos that I can watch whenever I want. In addition, they also have a written explanation of the material. They provide practice exercises and quizzes to reinforce learning. 

In general, the explanations are clear. If you have questions, they have several ways to request help. I was surprised by their response speed.

The MIT DSML certificate through Great Learning was well worth the investment. With my PhD in Human Communication and Conflict Management from Arizona State University, I already had a statistics background, but I was not super familiar with Python coding. Not only did the course provide a great deal of background information and prework for Python coding, we were also allowed to complete our projects as either a data analyst who programmed or as a data science manager who presented the analyses. I chose the latter, and I'm grateful for the two options. Vineet Mishra was my program manager, and he was super supportive and helpful.
