I enrolled in the course during the pandemic period to learn about data science which is emerging in recent periods. In the initial stage of the program concentrate on the basics of python programming.
The program supporting teams and curriculum is designed to keep up the phase throughout the course, especially during the project discussion forum helps in clarifying the doubts and motivated to complete it on time.
Mentor learning sessions are good if you get a knowledgeable person. It tops up the subject knowledge which you learned during that week’s lectures and videos. It is one of the major pros of this program.
The cons of this program are they have to improve their notes and lecture videos in the initial modules to enable the students to understand better about the concept who are new to programming and data science.
The portal which they are using should be user-friendly and interactive. Overall it is a very good course who is aspiring to become a Data Scientist.

It was a very great experience for me during the 10 weeks that i took part in the Data Science and Machine Learning course: Making Data driven Decisions with MIT-IDSS. For a beginner like myself, i found the structure of the curriculum very grounded and suitable for me to follow along. The faculty and mostly the great learning team were very helpful and along every step of the way.

I found the experience and support very exiting that i have enrolled in the PDG-Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning by Great Learning and UT Austin Texas. The level of support from all the great learning team is just as great as i expected.

Helped me pick up python fast and effectively starting from the basics and elaborated to apply the analysis of data for business purposes. 

Assignments and references help you counter reference the entire moduel to help learn efficiently, clear doubts and answer questions. Well formatted course to help guide your learning journey. 

Videos are also very in depth explanitory with intelligent teachers who have alot of wisdom who teach to apply real life situations in real life work examples using data science and bussiness analytics. 

The weekly zoom cohorts are fun and interactive with the teacher showing multiple methods in depth and clearing doubts/questions. Reza Nickmanesh is an excellent teacher and answers questions accurately and explains why. 

Excellent staff that ensure you are on track to passing. They also make sure you are using the platform to it's full potential and are using your time efficiently. My program manager Paridhi Malhotra, was the best at keeping me on point and checking my progress throughout the modules. 

 The entire community is very helpful, let's you communicate with your classmates to give a real life work experience. 
Would recommend for any beginner who has some extensive mathematical experience as well as a business background to have a better understanding of the business application aspect.

I enjoyed the PGAIML course thoroughly. There was a balance between concepts and applicability of the techniques in python. The pace of teaching and the spacing between the projects was quite manageable with my work schedule. The periodic interactions with peers, the course manager, the projects, the quizzes all helped build my accountability towards my learning journey. My experience with the Applied AI and Data Science Program, delivered by Great Learning in partnership with MIT Professional Education, was highly professional and well-organized from start to finish. The curriculum struck a great balance between rigorous theory and hands-on application, covering the full spectrum of AI/ML — from foundational statistics and data analysis through machine learning, deep learning, recommendation systems, and generative AI.Learning directly from MIT faculty, combined with weekend mentored sessions led by industry experts, gave real depth to the material and made complex concepts much more approachable. I also appreciated the structured support built into the program — revision weeks, code debugging office hours, and clear assessment checkpoints — which kept the learning experience organized and manageable alongside a full-time job.I created an elective project for the Data Analysis & Visualization module, and my capstone project applied clustering and dimensionality reduction techniques (KMeans, GMM, K-Medoids, PCA, t-SNE) to a customer segmentation problem — both of which helped solidify the concepts through real, applied work.On the administrative side, course coordinator Rashi was especially helpful — when I needed to rejoin a later batch, she made the reassignment smooth and hassle-free, which made a real difference in keeping me on track.Overall, I'd highly recommend this program to working professionals looking to build practical AI/ML skills through a rigorous, MIT-affiliated curriculum backed by strong faculty and administrative support. Completing the Post Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: Business Applications, offered by the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin in collaboration with Great Learning, has been a rewarding milestone in my professional journey.

The program provided a strong balance of AI and machine learning fundamentals with practical, real-world applications. The well-structured curriculum, engaging instruction, hands-on projects, and case studies made the learning experience both insightful and impactful.

 This program（Applied AI and Data Science Program） covers rich and comprehensive topics, ranging from Python basics and Statists fundamentals to applying AI and data science in real-world scenarios. My favorite part is the large collection of practical code examples. The pre-reading materials are also very helpful because they extract the math and computing theories in a concise way, saving me from reading lengthy background books. I also enjoyed interacting with professors and industry mentors during the live sessions. 
However, digesting all this knowledge in just four months is quite challenging, especially while working full-time.
I highly recommend this program to professionals who already have some computer background and want to strengthen their hands-on skills. But for complete beginners without related experience, the fast pace might be difficult to keep up with.  Read less

The program provides a strong combination of theoretical knowledge and practical application, making complex concepts in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science much easier to understand and apply in real-world scenarios.

What I particularly appreciate about the program is the well-structured curriculum, practical approach, and exposure to relevant tools and techniques. The course has helped me strengthen my understanding of AI and Data Science while also developing a more practical, problem-solving mindset.

A special mention goes to Rashi, the Program Manager, who has been extremely supportive, approachable, and helpful throughout the program. Rashu is always responsive to questions and concerns and makes sure that participants have the guidance and support they need. The proactive communication and willingness to help have made the overall learning experience much smoother and more enjoyable.

Overall, I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking to build or strengthen their skills in Applied AI and Data Science. This structure helped me move beyond theoretical concepts and develop a clearer understanding of how to build, evaluate, interpret, and communicate AI and data science solutions.The Capstone Project was especially valuable because it required me to apply the knowledge acquired throughout the program to solve a business problem from end to end. From data preparation and model development to performance evaluation and the final presentation, the project significantly increased my confidence in applying data science in professional environments.Completing the program while maintaining a full-time career in consulting required considerable dedication. I gave up many weekends with my family and invested several additional hours after work, often studying from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Although demanding, the experience was worth the effort.I am completing the program with stronger technical skills, a better understanding of responsible and interpretable AI, and a greater ability to connect technology, data, and business strategy. Credibility or certification on knowledge that I already knew - was the idea. But this course surprised me by strengthening and expanding my knowledge base. The it has also provided a springboard for advancement in my professional career. After being laid off, I decided to do something different and this course was part of that plan. I am grateful for choosing this as part of my path. I now have a job where I am helping with Ai Innovation in managing compliance risk. I do not take this lightly when I say this was a doozy and a commitment but teh end result has been rewarding. You want to get your Ai journey right, then I would recommend this course. The Applied AI and Data Science Program was exactly what I had hoped it would be. I was specifically looking for something that went in depth on Data Science and not just go straight into AI so that I’d have a deeper foundation. The program is more comprehensive than many of the other certifications that I looked into. Since it covers so much information, the time you invest into it will determine how much you will get out of it.  The professors did a good job introducing you to the mathematics if you wanted to go deeper into it but also made sure to get the concepts across for those of use who don’t have a math degree. It’s still useful even though I didn’t have a math degree because python handles the underlying calculations as long as I understood what it does, why it works that way, when to use it and how to interpret the results. Every module had a coding component to make application concrete. The lectures with MIT professors were more conceptual and the weekend sessions with the mentors focused on the code application. I appreciated that recordings of the weekday sessions could be watched at a later time for the purposes of attendance credit since most of us in the cohort had day jobs. The recordings of the lectures and mentor sessions are available for a year post the program and I expect I’ll revisit the recordings as I apply the techniques over the coming months. There are also 2 tracks: code from scratch or low code that focuses more on the interpretation and conceptual application of the techniques. This is useful because it tailors the program to people with different roles at work, and makes the content accessible for those who don’t have a programming background. The low code version still exposes you to code so you still get concrete experience. Each cohort is assigned a program manager who is there to support you every step of the way. My program manager, Urvashi, was amazingly supportive. She proactively reach out throughout the program to help you stay on track to complete it. It was also helpful to have one person to go to with all of my questions (logistics, content etc.) and if its a topic she didn’t cover she would route us to the appropriate person. The program includes a job assistance module that I did not use so I didn’t rate it. Read less

I am so glad I chose Great Learnings as the platform to learn artificial intelligence and machine learning. Their pairing with John’s Hopkins University was unique and made available PH.D level instructors and their perspectives on the current and future states of AI integration.  The course work was appropriately challenging whether you were a novice like me or experienced like others.  The weekly live sessions were taught by people well experience in their fields. They were able to answer all questions or point you to the proper resource if they didn’t know the answer. Lastly, our Program Manager Miriam, was very supportive. Whenever someone needed support or a voice she was there to facilitate that and ensure the student stayed on track in the course.  Read less
