Coder Academy Fast Track is one of the biggest challenges I have faced during my professional life.  Over the course you get to learn new technologies almost everyday, giving you the edge to become a proficient full stack developer.  But all comes at a price, you need to be motivated, you need to be focused, you need to love challenges and you need to be a team player.  Thanks to the teachers, the support staff and my fellow students, this journey has been hard, yet thoroughly enjoyable and very rewarding.

I wanted something new

Not interested in 4 year degree. Ain’t got time for that shit. Gotta go fast. 

Looked at coder boot camps and found one near me. Not many reviews, bit of a gamble.

Applied, got in and fell in love in the first week. 

Intense classes, fantastic teachers and mentors. Taught me the skills to use in coding every day and helped me land a job 2 months before the course was over.

In a killer job and I love it!

Totally recommend it! Do it if you’re keen to hustle and learn intensely and want a job coding!

Teachers were as good as they can be for people that have no direction. They didn't even know what they were teaching the following day making it hard to keep up. The General Manager was useless as can be. After raising concerns she had told me it's my problem and to suck it up. Very unprofessional. I attained my own internship as their program isn't a part of the course anymore and I wasn't informed.  This is just free labour now and I tell the host organisations to be very careful taking on interns as they could get into trouble from fair work and it is out of their control because of the lies Coder Academy sells to the companies.  Beware, people, alot of money and time off a paid position for something you can learn on LinkedIn or Udeny or the many other courses available. There is a reason GA is number one in the market. They know what they are doing and following the rules and regulations of education.  

Coder Academy's Fast Track bootcamp was hands down the best educational experience I've had. All of the teachers were passionate, caring and skilled and the cohort as a whole was highly driven, intelligent and fun to be around. I've made some life long friends both in the teachers and fellow students.

Although the perfect balance hasn't quite been figured out the course as a whole does a great job teaching a combination of fundamental programming skills and cutting edge, relevant technology stacks. The work load is intense and rarely lets off during the 6 months, there's always something new to learn. The teacher's provide constant support but as the course goes on, they expect more and more self-sufficiency and individual problem solving. This was pretty confronting for a lot of students but really does prepare you for what life is like as a developer in the real world. If you need a lot of hand holding and aren't genuinely passionate about self-learning the course will be very difficult.  

Coder Academy has very strong industry connections. The combination of weekly mentor visits, and a guaranteed internship gear you up for success and really help out with the job hunting process.

Overall I felt the course was comprehensive, practical, relevant and importantly, fun. A large portion of my cohort have already started work as Web Developers and at the end of the day that's what the course is all about!

I've joined coder factory leaving behind traditional bachelor degree where i was learning ancient technology that would hardly get me into workplace these days. Then came across coder factory's immersive boot camp which was recommend by my friend in industry, now highly recommended by myself as well.

Came into this course with technical support background and had no knowledge of software development and now pursuing career as software developer. During this 6 moth’s period learnt heaps and also gained work experience. Furthermore, the professors, lecturers and staff are, in my experience, fantastic!...

Overall, I have loved and enjoyed my time here at CFA and would recommend this course to anyone.

I have recently graduated from a 6 months Coder Factory bootcamp and straight into the web development industry and I haven't stopped recommending it to all my friends and family. Searching for the right course to get into the IT sector as a developer took me 7 years in total, completing 3 Masters and a PhD but still not getting the relevant skills and confidence to get into the fast changing world of coding.
This short and intensive course is relevant and curriculum professionally done covering all the basic skills, latest concepts and framework to go out into the industry with confidence.
The friendly staff and teachers are always available to help in projects ensuring we are armed with the latest industry expectations of quality codes.
The knowledge gained, networking set-up, internship and confidence achieved within 6 months immeasurable. Great course, no regrets, highly recommended if you want your career transformed.

The Coder Factory fast track course was a life-changing experience for me, and really what I needed to make my dream become a reality. To begin with, the space is beautiful and conducive to creativity. The curriculum was in-depth, expansive, and pragmatic.

It's been a wild ride but I owe so much not just to the program, but the people Dan, Patrick, Ruegen. They were always extremely kind and helpful.

It was a fantastic jumpstart, super fast, engaging, at times overwhelming but overall awesome. I highly recommend this course.

3 months ago I had never heard of Rails and had only done a couple of very simlistic Ruby syntax tutorials online. After completing this course I can confirm that whether you have a background in development or are a total newbie like me, Coderfactory caters for everyone. I can now confidently build a web app in Rails, use the console and git to my advantage and have met lots of great people along the way! Very friendly and helpful team .. highly reccommend Coderfactory as your next step to becomming a coding wizard! 

I have recently completed the Fast track Bootcamp in Melbourne and recommend it as a  great way of getting into the IT Sector.  

Professional and Knowledgeable teachers, interesting projects and a comprehensive syllabus covering some of the most current frameworks.  

Most students doing this course are focused and motivated to learn and do well.  It is not easy but you do learn a lot and there is support for when you need help.

The internship placement allowed me to apply what I had learnt in class out in industry.

I found it a great way to kick start my career.

Coming from an engineering background, I had no knowledge of any coding languages. The 6 months bootcamp in Coder Factory allowed me to get the necessary skills to be employable as a junior web developer.

Now I can read and understand serveral coding languages: HTML, CSS, Ruby and Javascript, I can make static websites as well as more complex web applications.

Not only Coder Factory provides you with great support and mentors, the team also helps you find a job after the course. The one month intership helped me have a better understanding on how tech companies work as a team.

Coding is definitely the language of the future. Knowing and understanding the HOW behind all the tech that is around was life-changing for me.

Not just coding, teaching you how to learn and reskill yourself with a strong focus on getting you ready for the industry.

With a strong network they even provide opportunities to intern at some great tech firms.

I got exactly what I wanted out of this course and more. I started off knowing very little code and had failed many times at trying to learn programming basics.

After starting the course we dove into Computer Science concepts which, looking back on now, I'm really thankful for. We then got onto HTML and CSS, and finished our first portfolio website. 

After Learning front-end design we then mixed in Ruby on Rails which gave us a clearer understanding of the web and how it works. We built basic CRUD apps and APIs all using the wonderful framework that is Rails and then finished off by creating our own deployed application. 

We finally moved onto Full Stack Javascript which included MongoDB, Express, Node, Angular and React. This part of the course was more tailored toward my liking as they let us code in either Angular or React but provided great resources for both. We finished off this section with a more realistic mindset of what Full Stack Web Development is and a basic JavaScript application. 

This course took me from unemployable to employed in 6 months through the help of the team at Coder Factory. The team are all great sources of learning and are committed to help you succeed. Throughout my time in the course I made many great friends and from day one I was super happy with the environment I was introduced to. This isn't one of those courses in Sydney where people just keep their mouth shut and follow orders, this is a communicative environment where people are open, friendly and willing to help you out wherever and whenever you need it. 

I can safely say that looking back I met many great people through this course and learnt critical skills to the industry. If you are looking to learn coding and also have a career in Sydney, this is the course for you. 

I recently completed the web app builder at Coder Factory and have never looked back. The course opened my eyes to what I could achieve with code and how to go about implementing my ideas with different technologies.

Before the course I was working in a career that provided me with little satisfaction or enjoyment. Now, with the help and support of the Coder Factory Team, I have landed my dream job as a full stack software engineer - all within months of quitting my full time job.

I thouroughly enjoyed my time par taking in the Full time fast track course at coderfactory. I had limited coding knowledge going into the course and had only recently purchased my first mac. Now only a year later I have the ability to build and my own web apps from scratch. The instructors care about you and want you to succeed. They provide you with the best possible oppurtunity for a career change into the tech industry. Would reccommend to anyone!

My return to programming has been made much easier with the help of the Coder Factory. I had been previously a developer for over 6 years but I ended up changing careers for a while. However, recently fell in love with programming again. I needed to right motivation and spark to get back into the industry, and decided to enrol in the Web App Development course at the Coder Factory. It's been 9 weeks and I'm loving it. The course in the first two months I was comfortable with but in this final part, we are focusing on the needs of the projects of each student, which helps to acquire knowledge about solutions in a diversity of subjects. I recommend for programmers who want to upgrade their skills and for those starting out who don't understand anything about programming, as the content has been taught in a simple, clear and effective way.

The 6 month Coder Factory Academy fast-track course is a great experience from start to finish. The course content is modern and relevant. Throughout the course we were introduced to many technologies, frameworks and tools, all of which I have since used and relied on as a working professional web developer.

The teachers and supporting staff are extremely knowledgeable and are only too happy to answer questions and explain concepts in detail. They encourage creativity and provoke thought from their students. Throughout the course we also had a huge number of industry professionals and mentors come in for a chat, answer our questions and give valuable industry insight.

Additionally, I was blown away with the level of support received at the end of the course in gaining employment. I feel this is an invaluable aspect of the course that can sometimes be overlooked. To have reputable contacts fighting for you to get work makes that first step into employment well within reach, and graduating with a Diploma of Software Engineering helps a lot also.

Acquiring the skills needed to become a web-developer can be daunting due to it being such a broad industry, but by doing the Coder Factory 6 month fast-track course, and by being driven and self-productive, I have no doubt that anyone can successfully become a working web-developer.

The CoderFactory Academy 6-month bootcamp is an intensive and thorough introduction to full-stack web development. I was part of the first cohort and recently graduated. I found the experience to be both thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding. I have also found work as a junior developer on graduating.

The course covers an array of skills that will give you the knowledge and tools you need to become employable as a full-stack web developer, or begin working on your own startup ideas.

The course begins with an overview of computer science, including some basics on computer hardware as it relates to software development. From there it quickly transitions to HTML and CSS, before moving to programming fundamentals with an emphasis on Ruby. The majority of the course, particularly in the begining, is based around creating full-stack web applications using Ruby on Rails. The scope is broad, and covers everything from the database layer, through to the front-end interface.

There is plenty of advice on how to use databases, including SQL and noSQL, building a CRUD application, and creating elegant UX/UI design. There is also scope, throughout the course, to pick up trending technologies like Angular and React.

Towards the end of the course, you are encouraged to broaden your skills toward your particular strengths and passion. I focused heavily on NodeJS and ReactJS, and was well supported by the team.

Another strength of the course is the interaction you will get with developers within the industry, which I found provided valuable insights. Most importantly, the teachers and fellow students are fantastic fun to be around, and were one of the most valuable assets of the course. In particular Pete Argent, Trent Shields, Dan Siepen, and Steph Schaffer were fantastic as teachers and mentors throughout the course, and were invaluable in preparing me for working as a developer upon graduation. My fellow students were also a fantastic bunch from a broad range of backgrounds, and I doubt I would have been successful without their support. I have come out of the course with great friends and good memories.

In the end, the course is what you make it. Hard work and a good attitude will go a long way toward preparing you for work as a developer. The CoderFactory Academy is the perfect place for you if you are ready to put in the effort. The support and knowledge they provide will give you what you need to succeed. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

I'm currently attending the Part-Time Web App Developer Course and it is by far the best web development course I have experienced, mainly for these reasons:

- Students are given after-hours support via Slack

- The latest web development technologies are taught with best practices (already teaching Rails 5!)

- Unlike most bootcamps, the teachers go into the necessary Comp Sci theory to produce better developers.

- I've also seen other students who have missed classes be given the opportunity to catch up via 1-on-1 instruction after classes!

- We're given the best resources out there in order to develop our skills outside class, along with detailed class notes for each lesson so we can prepare ourselves for next class.
