provided me the best experience I ever had in my life! It was amazing how in 14 weeks I went from knowing nothing to be completely prepared to face professional job challenges. I have learned a lot, not only in a technical way but also regarding how to put my soft skills into good practice. Teachers are very helpfull and committed as well as my colleagues. The trade off between learning new stuff and put them to practice is top notch as this course is very practical. In a nutshell, provides a way for people to become developers but more important to become better professionals. Definitelly a life changing experience! Read less

I was stuck in a dead-end job and starting to lose sight of my future. I had heard about <Academia de Código_> back in 2015, and finallly decided to apply in 2018.

Was it hard? Harder. It was the hardest thing I've done in my life. 
However, it paid out. I've made new friends, I've gained a family, but most importantly I've learned how to learn. I'm so thankful to our Master Coders in FUNdão, they are truly the best. Before, I had never even seen a single line of code. Yet, here I am, working as a Junior Consultant at Altran Portugal, and loving my job!

I attended last year and it literally changed my life!
I got a job as a back-end developer on a great company as soon as I finished the Bootcamp! The teachers worked very hard, even after hours, to make sure no one gets behind. I recommend this Bootcamp to everyone who wants to learn how to code.

<Academia de Código_> changed my life, it was the best experience I had in my life and totally reseted my life for a brand new and better one.

Even if you dont have money at the moment you can go to Fundão and pay later when you have the job.

The MC's are amazing and the environment is cool, you wont have any problems, besides drinking a lot of coffee hehehe, yeah its intensive but you will have the reward in the end, a pretty good damn reward.

That was a pretty important thing for me, since I was "lost" in my previous life.

so yeah hold your balls for 3 months and in the end you will be a happy programmer :)

It was a fantastic experience. From the bootcamp application to job enrolment, I felt accompanied through the entire process.

The instructors were helpful, very knowledgeable and amazingly patient. The bootcamp has an awesome teaching philosophy that leaves you prepared for the job market, you might not leave knowing everything (ha!) but you'll come out prepared with the knowledge to learn how to face any ordeal. It promises to turn you into a software developer and it delivers.

I don't regret it for a second, changed my life. Highly recommended!

When I signup for this bootcamp I already had 2 years of professional experience as a web developer and during the 14 weeks I still learned something new everyday to improve my skills, technical and social.

When I started the bootcamp I was really scared. I was turning my life upside down and starting over in a new country (I'm from Brazil), building a new career (I'm a geologist), almost all alone (just me and my husband in the country, no family or friends) and dealing with antisocial issues because of my difficulty to understand the Portuguese language. It wasn't easy, this isn't for the faint of heart, but that just prepares you even more for the future in this field. Might sound like a cliche, but from day one I felt embraced in a safe space where I could make mistakes and learn from them without being judged. This place brings together all kinds of people and that diversity is what makes the experience unbelievably incredible. We were able to learn not only programming, but also a large skill set to thrive in the field. The staff helps you with everything. Literally everything. From working hard to playing hard, from AM to PM (and then AM again), from coding to interview practice, they even help you make an awesome and impressive cv. It's a full package. No buts. The bootcamp lasts for 14 weeks, but it feels so much more. It's so intense that you learn so much from the beginning of computer science untill coding practices in the real world. When i finished the course i was ready to start working, and i actually got my job 2 weeks before finishing the bootcamp!

During these 14 weeks you know amazing people, and you feel apart of a big family.

I think everyone should do this bootcamp!

    One day after Christmas I went to attend my best gift, I was able to enter Academia de Código, living one of my dreams and being lucky/skilled enough to be one of the winners of the contest to be accept as an "alumni". After going there for the workshop I was already in love by it's awesome ambient, is very informal and familiar at the same time, the "Master" Rui Ferrão speaks so clearly that it was impossible to miss any content, and rare the moment that I needed to raise my hand to ask questions, Sérgio was another teacher that really inspired me because he went from student of the last course to teacher, and people from Academia like Catarina (Bootcamp Momma) kept telling us how he had some difficulties but as he is such an hard worker, he was able to push himself to the top and of course Antoninho, that spared us the needed time after hours (Antoninho's School) to pull up everyone that was feeling behind, he was also a previous course attendant.

    It's a big family. The best place to learn how to become a developer. The syllabus teaches everything we need. I just can't find words to describe the experience. Yes it's hard to keep up with the fast paced learning environment but that's why they look for people that are able to push themselves harder and harder. You learn everything from computer science history, to design patterns, to serious and practical coding. I remember that in the final weeks many companies come see us in the classes and talk with us, some of the people are CEO's others are recruiters, others were developers to properly check the syllabus and what we were learning, and they all said "This is what you will be doing for real, don't be afraid to become a professional in this area, because you are being given the right tools.".

    For 14 weeks I think it's an awesome experience and it's more than enough for the students to become their own teachers, as we were told (just like in University), they teach us how to learn and from that we can proceed our own adventure, but of course whenever we need we know we can contact our family and they will surely help us. It's just awesome, from the curriculum to the job support where the people working there are awesome as well.

    I went from a guy that didn't even have finished high school, nor went to the University (I hate them) to become a professional full-stack web developer and I am now working on a startup, and already had other jobs in the way. I had some minor experience building websites specially with WordPress and I was at the time learning to become a Full-Stack Web Developer through online courses, but gladly I got in Academia, you need a lot of self-discipline to go learn always by yourself and I was missing having a class full of mates learning and helping each others. The syllabus is really complete and I think It's completely worth the money, specially as you are finished after 14 weeks, I am really proud, happy and feeling privileged.

    You even get sentimental when the course ends, thank you all, thank you Academia de Código!

It was an awesome expercience, the team is incredible, I learnt a lot and enjoyed every step. And even gave us links to were study and what to study after we finish. They have and amazing HR that help to make a resume and linkdIn, but that is all and that made a little sad, I would like more help with that thinking about the price. But after all, I would do it again, and the job is more to us, but more help to this would be 10/10. Read less

Entering the bootcamp i was expecting to learn programming regularly, but i was surprised in finding out that you learn it in a way that is used in the professional world.
