This is an overpriced program with generic information you can access online for free. The mentor I had was very inexperienced and I felt cheated because the company advertised their mentorship program as one with experienced mentors. The resume writing assistance along with JAS application software they speak about are just selling points. In reality, it’s mostly DIY, where the resume writer gives you feedback and you input her suggestions yourself. The mentorship program is very shady, my understanding was that it would be with a real company but instead it’s what they call a “simulator internship,” where they repeat the same process that was carried out during regular classes. I had an awesome experience with Careerist. The teachers were great. My only issue would be with some of the curriculum, it could have more information with intricacies that will better develop students in the QA field. In February I stumbled upon an online program, joined FREE webinar, and decided to immediately join it. The program was focused on the Manual tester role in Software industry. It was to the point. I loved how instructors covered only what is needed to learn in order to perform the job as well as to impress the interview. Each module was followed by  quiz, our group on slack allowed us to answer questions regarding study, support team is fantastic, replied to our emails within ten minutes. After our study is over, we are assigned a mentor, who helped us prepare our resume, our linkedin profile and job interview Q&As. This level of personal attention is great value for the program!  We are provided with two internships in order to gain real world experience of what QA is going to actually do at work. The program is well structured and pretty straightforward for someone who has basic tech understanding. The classes are consistently challenging but on a chill pace so I never felt like I as falling behind, and had the opportunity to revisit lessons and materials to answer some questions that popped out during my own exploration of the technology we'll be using. 

The instructors have real world experience in the field and not only did they answer questions related to the subjects they were teaching us about, but also shared their experiences getting into QA and working in different companies with al kinds of teams. The support team was on hand most of the time and helped us navigate the program. And after finishing the 7 weeks of lessons, the internal project and pre-internship team really helped us fully use all the terms, technology, tasks and standards we learned along the way. It helped me polish the knowledge I attained in the previous weeks and put it to use. 

I'm about to start my internship next week, and in a few weeks I'll be out there looking for a job in a brand new (for me) career that was completely out of my sight just 4 months ago.  From what I've been told, we will have someone mentoring us until we land a job, so I'm excited about that and about the road ahead.  Read less

I am glad to share that I had the opportunity to take a Manual QA course with Careerist, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I made. Classes were flexible and knowledgeable! Teachers were informative with great ability to relate to the students. Great QA course setup and structure. Internship was a great way to get your feet wet on the day to day stand up meetings and actual work! One on one and mentorship was great! I wholeheartedly recommend the Careerist Python/QA Test Automation course to anyone interested in skilling up! The course is definitely very technical in nature, but the instructors are knowledgeable and enjoy teaching. The materials are clear and you can review the class videos as many times as you need. The homework is challenging, but there are two assistants that you can ping on Slack anytime to get help. You are also placed on an internship project and get resume/Linkedin assistance and mock interview preparation. This course is the real deal. Careerist stands out from the crowd because the whole team seems genuinely invested in seeing you succeed. I am a graduate of the Manual QA course as well and had a similar experience. I did my research while I was looking for a bootcamp to attend, Careerist always came up as one of the top. I decided to go with them because of the flexibility in payment. The course was very interactive, the teachers were knowledgeable professionals who work in the field. They really do attend to the students, whether it's during class time or via communication.  I completed the manual QA engineer course with mentorship and it was an incredibly rewarding experience. The course materials were well-organized and easy to follow, and the mentor was extremely knowledgeable and supportive throughout the entire process.  Additionally, the mentor provided valuable feedback and insights that helped me improve my testing strategies and techniques. My experience thus far in Sales Engineering training has been a good one. Majority of the courses focus on the sales and soft skills needed in a Sales Engineering position. I already have a sales background and have a great understanding of these things so this training has been a breeze. I've truly picked the perfect field of study for me because, the main focus in this training comes to me so naturally! 
I appreciate how open all of the instructors have been in sharing their experiences as Sales Engineers themselves. They have all been open and ready to answer any questions the class may have and even stay online longer than the allotted class time to make sure that we have a clear understanding of the lessons. 
I graduate in 2 weeks and I feel confident that I will land the position I desire! Read less
