Big Blue Data Academy offers a data science bootcamp that can be completed part-time (24 weeks) or full-time (12 weeks). The part-time bootcamp is offered live online, and the full-time Data Science bootcamp is offered either in person or live online. All bootcamp sizes are limited to 20 students.
The data science bootcamp curriculum covers Git, Bash Shell, big data, cloud computing, machine learning, deep learning, visualizations, and interactive dashboards. Bootcamp students will also learn data retrieval, APIs, databases, and web scraping. Students will work on a real-world business project alongside a Big Blue Data Academy partner company for the final four weeks of the bootcamp. This project will be presented to prospective employers at the conclusion of the Data Science bootcamp on career day.
Big Blue Data Academy is open to undergraduates, Bachelor, Master or PhD graduates, and professionals. Applicants should be proficient in math and statistics and have a basic knowledge of Python programming. Applicants should be prepared for an interview with an admissions rep to discuss their technical background and career goals. Forty hours of pre-bootcamp preparation work is required for all accepted students.
Big Blue Data Academy provides career support including workshops on crafting an effective CV and LinkedIn profile, mock technical interviews, and access to career opportunities posted by Big Blue Data Academy collaborators. Lifelong career advice and support as well as access to the Slack community portal are also provided.
Course content is given in English. Greek is used in course instruction. Tuition may be paid in an installment plan. A discount is available for paying tuition fully in advance.

After three hours of intense theory, it was sometimes difficult to maintain focus during the fourth hour, especially when additional theoretical content was introduced.
One suggestion for improvement would be to include a dedicated section focused on real-life examples, especially in the Python-Pandas and Machine Learning modules.
This could help bridge the gap between theory and practice, allowing students to better understand how to apply these skills in real-world scenarios.
Additionally, a more interactive way of studying, perhaps through an app or platform with practice exercises, quizzes, and coding challenges, could make a significant difference in enhancing engagement and retention. All this helped to deal with the final project, in which we had to deal with a real business problem, and collaborate with respective businessmen.
The instructors at Big Blue Data Academy are exceptional. Each one of them carries a deep sense of responsibility and a genuine desire to help students succeed. Their dedication and expertise were evident throughout the course, and they went above and beyond to ensure we had the necessary knowledge to progress in our careers.
Regarding job assistance, the academy offered dedicated hours focused solely on career support. This included advice on CV preparation and self-promotion which was incredibly helpful. The career services team is always available to provide guidance and support, making the transition from education to employment much smoother.
If there is one recommendation I would make, it would be to consider adding a few extra days off during the course. Given the vast amount of knowledge that needs to be covered in just 3 months, a few additional breaks would help students absorb and consolidate the information more effectively.
