I recently completed the Data Science Bootcamp of Big Blue Data Academy and wanted to share my thoughts. Overall, I rate the experience a solid 5 out of 5. Here's why:

The curriculum was fantastic. It covered everything from basic programming to advanced machine learning in a clear and understandable way. I felt like I got a great foundation in all the key areas of data science.

The instructors and the TA were knowledgeable and helpful, but there were a few times where things could have been explained a bit better, considering the tight time schedule that needed to be kept. Additionally, the rotating instructor approach of teaching was a bit confusing sometimes. However, all instructors (including the TA) were available and willing to provide advice that helped us advance in confidence in the world of data science.

Job assistance was top-notch. The bootcamp really helped me in re-shaping my resume, giving me crucial info for my future interviews and connecting us (alumni) with potential employers. I feel confident about my job prospects thanks to their support.

In summary, the Data Science Bootcamp of Big Blue Data Academy was a fantastic experience. 
Despite me working and studying at the same time, I am thrilled I got to experience this programme and learn not only all the basics, but also advanced material on Data Science.
Even though it was really challenging for me, who had little to no experience in the field, everything was explained to me in such a way that I feel confident in my choice to change career paths and dedicate myself to studying Data.

I highly recommend it to anyone looking to break into the field of data science. Completing the bootcamp feels extremely rewarding and opens up numerous possibilities both work and study-wise.

Over the past 14 weeks, I've had the opportunity to immerse myself in the world of data analytics with a course conducted by the Big Blue Data Academy at Deree - The American College of Greece. The course was well structured and organized with a methodical thinking from industry experts with working knowledge on analyzing data. The goal was to help students gain and enhance Analytical Skills, Proficiency in Data Manipulation tools and also provided guidance on Effective Communication of findings to diverse audiences. It was an incredible experience. All the instructors were impeccably trained, and the lessons had a well-structured and researched format. I was someone who had no prior experience with Python or programming languages in general. I can't imagine a better choice than this for someone who wants to become a Data Analyst. The instructors were always willing to help, and the guidance throughout the bootcamp makes you feel confident that you will succeed. A very demanding study program, with many hours of monitoring, tons of hands on exercises every day, various projects, and finally small but very important milestones that makes you keep up for trying even more. Demands your full attention and its hard to keep up especially if you are new to the field.  They give you tools, experience, cutting edge technology and yet how far you will go is up to you and our mindset in the end. I definitely recommend this bootcamp to everyone that wants a hands on experience full of exercises.

Demands your attention and its hard to keep up especially if you are new to the field. But in return awards you with a bag of tools for every need. We have done many daily projects simulating real world scenarios and for the last 3 weeks we collaborated with a real company that they arranged for us(we were teams of two). I definitely recommend this bootcamp to everyone that wants a hands on experience full of exercises and its a great big first step to the world of Data science. Read less

Amazing experience, I have entered the world of Data smoothly. The instructors were very knowledgeable and highly effective in their teaching methods. The program was precisely structured to help us grasp difficult concepts, with about 75% of the content consisting of practical exercises.  I recently completed the Big Blue Academy Data Science Bootcamp, and it has profoundly changed the trajectory of my career. As a former physical therapist, my exposure to data science was limited to my understanding of statistical concepts and a few months of self-learning with Python. Having little to no experience working with code, I entered the bootcamp with a mixture of curiosity, excitement, and apprehension. I am thrilled to report that the bootcamp not only dispelled my initial doubts but also exceeded my expectations! 

Inclusivity for all Skill Levels
One of the key aspects of the bootcamp is the well-designed scaling of the curriculum's difficulty and complexity. Despite my background being so distant from the field, I never once felt left behind. The curriculum and the instructors were designed to cater to individuals from diverse backgrounds and skill levels. They took the time to explain even the most fundamental concepts, ensuring that everyone could follow along and learn at their own pace. 

Supportive Learning Environment
Throughout the bootcamp, the instructors always encouraged us to ask as many questions as possible and seek out their help at any time. They provided real-world application examples for most of the concepts we encountered, helping us conceptualize the practical application of the subject matter. Additionally, a collaborative spirit was always encouraged through team projects and exercises, inspiring us to contribute to each other's learning process with our own unique perspectives and maximize the advantages of the diversity within our team. This way, every participant played a supportive role in cultivating our data science skills and understanding.

Hands-on Experience
One of the most rewarding elements of the bootcamp was its emphasis on practical and hands-on application of every subject. The curriculum was structured in a way that allowed us to apply what we learned immediately. From day one, we were introduced to the basics of Python and provided with the environments in which we could experiment and practice what we learned. Each lesson allocated at least 50% of its duration to practical exercises, allowing us to engage with the problems, identify the challenges, and figure out how to solve them. Throughout this time, the instructors offered their guidance. Very soon, we were tackling real-world data science problems, working on projects, and effectively collaborating with our teammates. This approach not only accelerated my learning but also made the transition from theory to practice seamless. 

The Data Science Journey
What astounded me most about this bootcamp was how it enabled me to progress from a complete novice to a proficient data scientist in just six months. At the final step of my journey, my teammate and I took on a project that utilized a state-of-the-art machine learning neural network algorithm to forecast real-time energy generation and power load in Greece for the next 24 hours with competitive results. I was astonished by the fact that after only a few months, I was confident and skilled enough to undertake such a project, collaborate with an excellent teammate, and successfully complete it. It truly is a testament to the effectiveness of the bootcamp's teaching methodology and the dedication of its instructors.

Conclusion
 As I look back on this amazing journey, I can see the progress that I have made. Despite the difficulties and the highly advanced concepts in a field so foreign to mine, I was able to push through with the amazing support of my teammates and instructors. I highly recommend this bootcamp for everyone who, like me, comes from a different background but is fascinated with the prospects and applications of statistical thinking and data-informed decisions. Excellent course with great instructors having robust industry experience & knowledge. From day one, they pass on all the essential data science skills focusing on practical and hands-on training. In addition, the curriculum incorporates a career development course that prepares you for real-world challenges and life after Bootcamp. At the end of the course, we have the opportunity to collaborate on a final project with a company, use real-world datasets and understand the whole roadmap of how data science works in an industrial environment.
