I come from a background in psychology and education. After discovering UX, I felt like I finally found the career path that was meant for me. I then began to research boot camps. After some (read: A LOT) of contemplation, I decided to go with Avocademy, and I am SO glad that I did. 

Avocademy appeals to all learning styles by providing information in a variety of ways, from textual information and videos to hands-on projects. There is also unlimited mentorship that you can utilize throughout both the Foundations course and Career Jumpstart. 

I am currently in the Career Jumpstart program, and I am super excited to get started on real client projects and start building my portfolio.

I had the most amazing experience with Avocademy learning everything I needed to become a UX/UI Designer! The Avocademy Foundations Course is by far the most comprehensive, affordable, learning friendly, and support provided program available. The course was extremely fun, informative, and well put together. All of the lessons and activities built upon the next, making learning easy and fun. Through out the entire course, you have a huge amount of support from the team. Everyone was friendly and always eager to help you with anything. I would definitely recommend this course (and already have) to anyone interested in becoming a UX/UI Designer. Avocademy has made UX/UI Design accessible for everyone, Including me as a BIPOC woman. The foundations course is self-paced but the timeline helped me stay disciplined. I had some setbacks due to life but the mentors at Avocademy were very empathetic about my situation and allowed me to pause my enrollment and continued the rest of my bootcamp after my recovery. I struggled with my interview skills a lot and with the unlimited mentorship, I was able to practice alot and enhance my interviewing skills. I got over my limitations and achieved my goals! Not only did I get one offer but i got 2 offers! I'm so grateful for this bootcamp to help me break into the Tech industry and do something I've always wanted to do since high school. 

I recently took an online course on UX/UI Foundations with Avocademy, and it exceeded all my expectations. The course was well-structured and covered all the important topics in UX/UI Design. The content was digestible and easy to follow.

One of the things that impressed me the most about the course was the variety of content provided, from video lectures to hands-on activities. This made the learning experience dynamic and kept me engaged throughout the course.

I also appreciated the supportive community of students and the quick response from the mentors whenever I had a question or concern. The course provided ample opportunities to connect with others, which helped me to expand my network and learn from others.

In conclusion, I highly recommend this course to anyone looking for a career change, and/or to gain a comprehensive understanding of UX/UI Design. It has given me the tools and confidence to advance in my career, and I am sure it will do the same for others. I am so happy that I took the leap and signed up for the program. Money for me has always hindered making investments like this, however, the payment options are super and won me over and truly helped me commit. I've always wanted to get into the tech industry and admired those that do this type of work. The course itself is built to help and guide you along the way, there were so many resources available, tools, blogs, and videos outside of the course material they provide that really add to what you learn overall. The mentors are all so helpful and the fact that they are in the field and have an understanding and an openness to teach and answer any questions big or small I really appreciated. You have access to chat with peers and mentors, you have access to set one-on-ones with mentors as often as you'd like, and having that time to ask specific questions and get them answered and learn their tips and tricks was a big deal for my learning style. Also getting to do this all while having a full-time job online in my downtime is amazing, anyone can do this if you have the passion, it's also so fun! 

I highly recommend this course to anyone who is interested in learning UX/UI and all that comes with it, there is so much behind the role and it is so cool how you are set up for success with Avocademy. Big fan! :)

The Avocademy crew are doing the MOST to help their graduates bridge the gap between school and landing the first job.  This is where most people get stuck... after school ends; when new designers are left with the "Now what?" feeling.  They've got super kind mentors (constructive criticism) and lessons designed to help combat the imposter syndrome. I felt that their guidance was so helpful that I ended up coming back and participating in their Career Jumpstarts program to gain valuable experience in team leadership, project management, and producing professional products for our portfolios.

I want to start by saying how amazing it has been to find something I am so passionate about. The mentors and staff are absolutely amazing, they always work with you and there is no pressure to finish as there are no grades and only an estimated timeline for the course. I love the way they compiled all of the information into this course, as it is easy to navigate, visually appealing, and easy to understand. The activities and modules are set up wonderfully, and executed with ease. I am a visual learner and it is all explained well through each module. I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of this course. It was a lot of information, but somehow did not feel overwhelming and stressful. I found this course to be really fun and informative. I am so happy that I took this course and was relieved that it is only $2k as most bootcamps cost 5k+. I have already begun the next course called career jumpstart and learning so much. I cannot wait to use what I learn and apply it to the real world! 

I come from a non-technical background and I was able to learn so much in both foundations and CJ. Having hands-on experience gave me the ability to speak confidently during interviews. CJ gave me all of the tools needed to successfully transition, but I also put in A LOT of work. I made sure I was meeting with mentors often both in CJ and out, asking questions, learning outside of CJ, and putting in the time to show up for all my CJ projects. You get out of it what you give. I was able to land a full-time position 2 months into my job search journey. If you are serious about transitioning into design and putting in the work, then CJ is for you!

I did a ton of research on which UX bootcamp would be the best fit for me. I was pivoting careers and wanted something that I could complete in less than a year and that was affordable. Avocademy was just that. While there were some great options out there, Avocademy offered unlimited mentorship throughout the program, which to me was invaluable. The lessons were thorough and the projects challenged me. When I got stuck on something I made sure to schedule a 1:1 with a mentor. I liked them so much I regularly scheduled a 1:1 each week and sometimes even twice a week. Getting to discuss my work with various industry designers continued to excite me for the moment I myself became one. The pride I felt when I finished was honestly better than when I received my college degree. I loved meeting other students and really enjoyed all of the staff at Avocademy. If you are considering joining, honestly just do it. The only thing I wish I had done differently was sign up even sooner than I did. 

As a person coming from a completely different creative background (fashion & graphic design), I felt like I hadn't really found a great fit for my passions until I started researching UX/UI Design. For me it's the perfect balance of creativity & technicality--while helping solve problems. After a couple months of researching I came across a few bootcamps but Avocademy stood out the most to me and I went for it.  I completed the Foundations course with Avocademy in October and it was the best decision and self investment I've made! The course goes into depth and is organized so well. The reading material is incredible and the fact that they offer mentorship throughout the entire program is what really helped me make my decision to join. I was able to talk one on one when I needed help or had questions and I really learned so much. If you are looking to enter a new career field I highly recommend this program they will tech you everything you need to know. I was amazed how much I was able to retain the new information I was learning and I give the credit to the way this program is structured. Designing your own project towards the end of the program is very rewarding and makes you realize just how much goes into UX Design and how much Avocademy teaches you in a short period of time.  Like anything, you get what you put in! So if you are dedicated and determined to learn and start a new career path you will love it. I am now in their Career Jumpstart program where you work with real clients, continue to build your portfolio and apply to jobs. I really cannot express how much Avocademy is changing my life already!

I'm so glad I found Avocademy! I did some very thorough research to find a bootcamp that fit my particular needs. I found Avocademy early on, but due to nerves and anxiousness to learn new skills in a new field I held off. Let me say, I wish I took the leap sooner! From the beginning everyone was so helpful and supportive. I was very impressed with the amount of help and resources available to me and how mentors responded to all my questions in a timely and patient manner. I dove into the program looking to learn new skills so that I could eventually break into a new field. I completed the program with so much knowledge, confidence, and excitement for the future. I immediately enrolled in the Career Jumpstart program and am currently in the process of applying to jobs. I can't thank Maca enough for what she has done to help so many of us find our way into the industry. Her passion for UX is felt through every interaction, as well as, the course curriculum. I appreciate how as the industry best practices change, the course changes with it to provide Avocademy students with industry leading skills and understanding. Thanks to Avocademy for providing me not only with the skills I need to break into the UX design field, but for helping me gain confidence in my ability to take a leap and learn something new.

Avocademy's UX/UI Foundation course is a great primer into learning UX/UI.  Their course is one of the more affordable ones out there and is in a reasonable time period to see if this is the right path for you. They have carefully curated a plethora of materials that will set you up for best practices and success in the industry. Their self-paced program makes it flexible to complete whatever your current situation may be. Their unlimited mentorship was a huge factor as I was able to speak and learn with a variety of qualified mentors who were more than happy to help with whatever questions and concerns I had. 

Avocademy is a self-paced, intensive UX/UI bootcamp that I was lucky enough to come across early in 2021. I was looking to make a career change, or at least find something that would allow me to save money for Grad school, but I have since fallen deeply in love with design. The way that Avocademy's team has structured their course, alongside the tremendous amount of support and guidance they offer, really sets you up for success. It's clear that this program was made with the utmost care for their students. 

As I mentioned before, it's an intensive course, there is a lot of information to get through and lots to read especially, but it's well worth it. It's expected that you finish in 8 weeks but as it's a self-paced program, the timeline isn't fixed. It's very convenient for those who can't devote all of their time to a program, and the flexibility of this course is what initially drew me to it. Whenever I would feel overwhelmed or stressed about the material, there was a network of mentors and other students that I could turn to for support, advice, and/or anything! 

I can honestly say that this has been the most enjoyable learning experience I've ever had. I wholeheartedly recommend this program to anyone who is interested, I can't imagine that you'd be disappointed! 

I recently completed the Avocademy Foundations program and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The course was well-structured and provided a great foundation for a career in UX/UI design.



One of the things I appreciated most about the course was the flexibility it offered. It was self-paced, so I was able to work at my own pace and fit my studies in around my schedule. The material was presented through a combination of videos, readings, and interactive exercises, which kept things interesting and engaging.



I found the course material to be very comprehensive and felt well-prepared by the time I finished. The instructors were all highly knowledgeable and provided excellent support throughout the course. Although sometimes they were a bit too busy to get back to you on time but when they did, they were always available to answer questions and provide feedback on my work.



Overall, I would highly recommend the Avocademy Foundations program to anyone interested in a career in UX/UI design. It's a great investment in your future and I feel confident that it will set me up for success in my chosen field.

I was contacted by Maca on LinkedIn after I posted in a Transitioning Teacher thread. I had no idea what shift to make, just that I wanted out of teaching. I researched UX Design and all the Bootcamps for a month before signing up. Avocademy is amazing. They ease you in quickly, but effectively and not too overwhelming. I was able to quckly catch on and have learned so much. After finishing Foundations, I signed up for Career Jumpstart. I am currently on my third project and I am applying for work. They provide resume and portfolio help, mock interviews and portfolio walkthroughs, mentor opportunities and even references if you need them. I've gotten all of my friends curious about it and even my husband signed up and is about to finish the Foundations course! Avocademy was worth it in every way. The only critique that I have is that the mentors can be a bit contradicting when reviewing your assignments and that can take up time, especially in the Wireframes and Hi-Fi screen assignments. It can get a little frustrating, but a one-on-one call always helps.
