Software QA Engineering

We finished the first phase of our internship projects recently with the help and guidance of Anna. She was very kind, courteous, and knowledgeable to me and the rest of the students. I had issues with my computer, then my internet, and she was nothing but patient and helpful the entire way. Five stars one hundred percent!

I purchased Manual QA course in July 2022, paid in full upfront. I didn't feel rushed or pressured by a salesperson. Course itself consists of 19 real-time lessons from different teachers. Some felt to me like they shouldn't be teaching, very monotonous and boring, but majority were great tutors, field pros with real experience, they were open to questions and feedback throughout the course. Overall the lessons part is pretty straightforward and simple, mostly theoretical, and few classes about field and interview preparation.  Internship. After you are done with classes you are joining the internship, curated by QA Lead. I've had 4 of those projects, each one to two weeks long. Everyday you are joining stand-up zoom meetings, discussing your projects, homework etc. This is meant to imitate real life work, and I've got some useful hands-on experience on how to use QA instruments and what are some common techniques. Most of QA leads I've interacted with were wery responsive and helpful, some projects were a bit messy and disorganized.Mentorship. I gotta say, this is the part where I've learn the most. You can learn theory on Udemy or youtube, but no one will tell you as much as their mentors on how to pass the interview, how to behave, how to properly structure your resume and approach, and so many useful insights about the industry. It is definitely not easy to get a job, but if you put enough effort and follow their advises, you'll land one sooner or later. The course itself is not flawless, but mentorship is balancing out all the imperfections. I'm seeing tens of their graduated getting hired each month, so it is working! 

From the time I spoke with an advisor at Careerist.com, to enrolling in the Manual QA program, to the instructors and lessons, to the online flexibility, all the way through the internship and mentorship, it has truly been an amazing experience.  They give you the tools you will need to confidently tackle any interview after the program is over.  I highly recommend Careerist.com if you are looking to break into Software Quality Assurance!!

I took a leap of faith with this course and I think it proved to be a good one. The staff is so willing to help at any turn and are awesome with providing effective feedback. The course was fun, informative and I believe that it set me up for my future in the tech field. I strongly recommend if you are looking to break into a career in the tech industry.

In general, the course of study was not bad. One inconvenience was this because of the time difference. The class ended too late because I had to get up for work at 3 am and the class ended at 11 рm. The teachers explained the topic quite well and in detail, and then checked the work done, correcting mistakes and guiding them in the right direction.

I truly enjoyed this course. I appreciated how the instructor surveyed the class before to get a sense of what we all wanted to take away from the course. The instructors were fantastic – very knowledgeable and willing to answer questions as they came up. Best way to start your IT career!!!

Coming into these courses I was skeptical, because I tried many other courses that made a whole list of promises but in the end never met any of them. The biggest thing I learned about this school is that they deliver what they promise. The lessons are easy to understand, the teachers answer any questions you may have, in fact they encourage it. At the end of the course they help you with building résumés and LinkedIn account so you’d have the best chance of finding a job. I’m extremely happy I went with careerist and would recommend everyone to attend 10/10

This is a brand new field for me. I had no idea what I was going to do to support me and my children after my divorce. Through research, I found Careerist. My instructor, Alex Bodnia was so patient every step of the way. Not one of my questions went unanswered. His passion for teaching is evident in his exceptional instruction. Great course to take. They provide a lot of information. And tons of material to prepare you for interviews. Helping you with resume as well. There is a lot of practice on this course as well that will prepare you for the future job. Everyone was very nice. 

If you are looking to break into tech, Careerist is the place to go. I just completed the Manual QA. It was challenging but very informative and rewarding. I land a job very quickly with the tools from the program.  You receive support from anyone of the Careerist mentors and it was also great meeting people who are learning along with me. 

learning experience is awesome, fun experience, good teaching and lessons was awesome. im able to learn alot from this and gain knowledge and help for future work. i learn value about manual qa testing and what it used for in daily life for companies and personal.

I, did a thorough research on Careerist before signing up with Careerist Bootcamp and I have not been disappointed.  Careerist Instructors are experienced, professional, and they set positive, realistic, and clear expectations for students every step of the way.  Kindness goes a long ways when you are unsure of what you are getting yourself into but I now have no doubt about my success going forward as a successful QA Engineer thanks to Careerist. The hands on internal project was enlightening with Anna and provided a realistic view into task within the industry which you receive from ALL instructors as well. Carrerist is one the best bootcamp, who wants to start their career in IT career, if you are looking something to learn from scratch then carrerist is the best bootcamp to join for learning, job hunting.

I have been to other boot camps and they were either too fast pace or too slow. I appreciate the flexibility that was given to us as I didn't have to drop everything to attend the classes and I could go at my own pace.The instructors are very nice and will answer your questions and they genuinely feel like they want to help you learn.

Manual QA course was very good instructors were very good as well. Internship was very helpful being able to apply the knowledge and skills gained throughout course. Although mentors are helpful with answering questions and giving direction it's been very difficult finding work almost one year later. 

I’m a former educator transitioning to tech. Careerist has been an excellent boot-camp experience for me. My neighbor told me about this company and got a high-paying job ($102k) after doing a course, so I knew it was legitimate! I did the ‘Manual QA’ course which included live online video lessons, quizzes and an in-depth homework task, followed by practical internship opportunities. Having finished the course, I feel really confident that I can do the job I was trained for because of the hands-on experience Careerist provided. The ongoing support provided by Careerist for their graduates to help them successfully interview & land a job is outstanding!!

The Positives:

The Negatives:
·       The internships allows you to practice the main skills required for the job, but hands-on experience with certain tools is not possible if you don’t have the hardware yourself since you’re learning from your home with what you have. (E.g. if you don’t have a Mac you can’t practice using Xcode hands-on. If you don’t have an Android, you can’t practice ADB/Android Studio, etc.) Note: this is not a problem with Careerist, just the reality of online learning! Careerist does provide video recordings of how these tools are used, however, so you can definitely learn how to do it – but just can’t practice “hands-on”). ·        You need to wait for your mentor to give you the go-ahead before starting the job search – after you pass the course, finish the internships, pass the mock interviews, have your resume/LinkedIn profile looking good, etc. This is a positive for people who like to follow rules/processes (like me), but could be a negative for people who want to do things their own way! 

I had the best experience while attending the school. I was going back-and-forth about entering in a Boot Camp. However, I’m glad I made a decision to go with my selection. They offer a lot of things that I didn’t see from other boot camps. They provide job search assistance, a mentorship an internship and more things that propel you forward in the new career that you are pursuing.  I couldn’t say enough about the great things that they provide not to mention the curriculum was easy to follow while being challenging as well.
