SheCodes Basics

The SheCodes Basic workshop is a fantastic way to get started in the world of Web Development. Coming from an education background myself, I really enjoyed Matt's teaching style and the way the workshop was broken down into fun and interactive chunks. This made it simple to follow and easier to understand the more challenging concepts. The workshop is very well organised and help is always at hand via the Slack communities. I really enjoyed creating my own website via the final project and can't wait to get started on the SheCodes Plus Workshop! Thank you Matt & team!

I'm delighted to share a brief testimonial about my journey in learning coding basics at Shecodes. My coding journey began as a complete beginner with no technical background. Initially, coding seemed intimidating, but I was determined to learn. I found excellent online resources and mentors who guided me along the way. SheCodes makes what we "ladies" think impossible, possible. The mix of learning a new technology that fits for purpose and create something from scratch was exciting to me. The pace of this workshop was perfect for my needs and I learnt so much with Matt! The introduction to JavaScript was by far my favorite part because it was a bit challenging at moments, but that only encourages me to keep learning so I can gain even more experience and improve my coding skills!I recommend this workshop to all women who want to take their first steps into tech and have zero knowledge because Matt doesn't overwhelm you with lots of info from the get-go. He really takes you slowly through it and provides lots of examples too! Also, at the end of each lesson you have small challenges, which allow you to practice all the time :)I just started the SheCodes Pro workshop and I'm SO looking forward to continue with the rest!

SheCodes is one of the best platforms I've stumbled across! Matt's teaching methodology is awesome and made me engaged at every point in time. Though I sometimes got frustrated when I didn't get the desired output on my homework and challenges, the comprehensive solutions provided were beneficial. I have really enjoyed SheCodes so far! I love that it feels as if they thought of any possible event/question that you might have and gave you the tools to overcome them before you even had to reach out for help! As an absolute beginner who a has huge appetite for a career in tech but doesn't have an idea how or where to start from, I stumbled on SheCodes foundation on google through my search for a perfect place where I could satisfy my appetite at my own pace. With just three weeks of learning, I could develop a basic landing and interactive page using html, CSS and JavaScript. The workshops are simplified, practical and very easy to grasp even without any background in IT. I have already recommended it to my friends who have interest in tech careers.”

I really enjoyed the SheCodes Basics workshop. Three weeks passed very quickly. When working on a project, you forget about time.The final project proved to be incredibly fascinating, and its development not only solidified my acquired knowledge but also highlighted areas for improvement.  I joined SheCodes Basics in July 2023. The best decision I made this whole year. This has been such a wonderful learning experience. I just loved how Matt explains each concept so clearly and patiently. He's an excellent teacher, oh and the technical team has been so helpful whenever we had questions. Quick responses, concise.
