SheCodes Basics

I thank SheCodes Foundation for offering us this wonderful opportunity to learn how to code for free. Matt is a really good instructor, his teaching are easy to understand and follow. I would recommend SheCodes to any woman who would like to learn how to code.

I just completed my basic Coding program and as someone who has no prior knowledge of being a developer or in IT, I have in the past 3 weeks learned the basics when it comes to coding. I am thankful for this opportunity.

This course is amazing because it takes you by the hand and teaches you how to write codes, step by step. I love the challenge features in the course, making the learning easier. But above all, the course is well structured so it's easy to get inspired and create a website .

I am super grateful for the opportunity to learn coding with SheCodes , starting my coding journey has to be one of the amazing things I’ve done! All the doubt and fear I had has been replaced with “Confidence and fun” , the platform is user friendly and the instructor is amazing , easy to understand and to follow!

I'm so happy with my choice! I've been researching coding bootcamps for the past 6 years. I attended the free introductory session for SheCodes a couple years ago, but wasn't sure the workshops on offer would be in depth enough for what I was looking for. When I got the alert for the new SheCodes Bootcamp, I was excited to try it. I've just completed the SheCodes Basics workshop portion and... wow! My background is in education and Matt's lessons are on point!  I found the videos clear and easy to understand. I enjoyed the challenges and felt they were pertinent and the right difficulty to encourage learning. If you get stuck or are just looking to clarify anything, asking a question in Slack is easy and the responses are timely. I felt that the pricing was fair, and the financial aid process is simple, rendering the course accessible to anyone. As a stay-at-home mom of two pre-school aged kids, the flexible timing of the courses is very convenient. I'm looking forward to learning more and connecting with their career advisers.

This experience was so much fun from me. I’m just a week I can say I know HTML and CSS. Matt the instructor is very clear and his instructions are easy to follow. There’s exercises after every lessons which is really fun and good so that you do not forget what you just learned. The challenges are fun yet a bit challenging it requires you to think and apply all that you have been taught. Overall I can say my experience was a 10/10 

The SheCodes Basics workshop was really exciting yet challenging. It was split into smaller parts so that a beginner like me in coding would not be overwhelmed with learning everything at the same time. There were times where I got stuck but the support I got from Slack made what seem impossible possible. The experience I gained from this workshop was beyond what I thought I would be able to do and I am grateful for this opportunity. 

I love the classes mainly because it focuses on not just one part, but everything altogether. From HTML to CSS to JavaScript, which has made understanding for me easier. I also love the fact that I was given something to do after almost every lesson. It made learning really smooth.
