SheCodes Basics

I really enjoyed how engaging the Lessons and Challenges were! Matt also showed some real world examples that helped demonstrate the concepts. I didn't know coding could be this fun!

This workshop was exactly what I was looking for, as I learned so much during these three weeks. What makes it exceptional and fun is the teaching method that is used in this workshop. I like learning through doing projects not just learning the syntax. I'm really happy I've got the chance to join this workshop. Thank you for this great experience.

 Clearly explained and easy to follow. Gives enough guidance, whilst also leaving things up to you to discover. I have enjoyed discovering more about coding with SheCodes! 

The past 3 weeks have been an amazing first step into coding. The way that the lessons are followed by a challenge, based on the lesson's content, allows you to learn whilst doing, which is great for absolute beginners like myself. I had never looked at a piece of code properly before this, so learning how to write it has been incredibly rewarding! I loved the flexibility the workshop provides. I was able to spend the first week completing the lessons and spend 2 weeks consolidating what I had learned and work towards my final project. The community and support you're given access to on slack chat is also a huge benefit of this programme. Not only can you access help when you need it, you're also able to share your journey with others. I cannot recommend SheCodes enough!

I have owned and operated my business for almost ten years. However, when we were forced to close temporarily during the pandemic, I thought I would use my free time to upskill. I am thoroughly enjoying the course so far. I especially appreciate how bitesize each lesson is. Immediately putting each new skill, however small, into practice is such a great way to learn and retain new information.

It was a fantastic experience starting to learn coding with this method. I'm really excited for next steps of this journey!

SheCodes Basics is a great and affordable way to figure out if you're interested in coding! You'll be able to make a simple webpage by the end, and if you decide you like it you can continue with the other courses! The support system on Slack is great and what really makes me love the program.

 I loved, I finally understood many things that before I had difficult. I did some courses before, but this was first time that I really understood things and also I  practiced a lot.

I've been wanting to get into coding for a very long time but hesitated because it seemed intimidating and too complex. After sitting in on one of Matt's free coding sessions, I was finally convinced to take the beginner workshop! It was SO worth it, I am so happy I took this course, it was easily digestible content, easy to learn, especially for someone like me with minimal coding experience! I enjoyed the format of the course as well. Definitely going to take more courses from Matt and the SheCodes team in the future :)

This course has reinforced my basic HTML skills but added CSS and JavaScript to make webpages look SO MUCH BETTER. Hugely recommended.

Changing a career path and learning something brand new can be challenging. I was skeptical at first if coding was something for me and overwhelmed by the variety of schools and courses offering workshops to code. I found that ScheCodes has been a smart, available, and fun workshop offering skillful and on-demand knowledge. Matt is an amazing teacher, he explains very well and gives students the freedom to explore coding. The ScheCodes team is very helpful and the possibility to interact, ask questions and learn from each other is great and gives me the confidence to continue.
