SheCodes Basics

A quick three week course to learn the basics of coding. No prior knowledge needed. The course is built up magnificently. Everything is explained very well and it is easy to fit the course work in your daily schedule. I learned a lot in a very short time and enjoyed it thoroughly. 

Leaning to code with SheCodes was just the best experience, I'm so pleased I started my coding journey here. The perfect blend of challenging and fun. It was amazing how much I learnt in the Basics workshop and I have really surprised myself. Submitting weekly projects was a great way to see your progress and I found it easy to make time for study alongside my full-time job.

I tried SheCodes Basics with no knowlegde about coding and it was a real discovery. As I am working full time it is not easy to find courses that match my schedule and Shecodes is perfect for that. You can learn at your own rythm, there is always someone to help you and the courses are easely understandable for newbies. I would really recommand it ! 

I never thought i could get into in tech, but SheCodes changed my perspective at all! Matt instructs coding extremely well and it was incredibly easy to follow all the lessons with full-time work. Can't wait to learn more and more!

I took the 3 week SheCodes basics class and it was a really great introduction into the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I work in Learning Development and wanted to expand my knowledge into coding as there are many tools and systems I use and wanted to flexibility to dive into more tech focused roles in my industry. As someone who designs training for a living, I was very impressed with the student experience for this course. It was approachable for a beginner who knows nothing to slowly build up the knowledge and have space to practice in a supported environment. For a virtual course, the slack channel support really stood out for me as you are not in it alone and have a place for help when you are stuck. The lessons are short and focused on small chunks that eventually build up to a final project. It was very well designed course and I feel like I learned so much in a short amount of time!

Having worked in digital projects before as a product analyst, I was always interested in actually start to code as well. The SheCodes basic workshop was suggested by a friend and left me extremely satisfied and motivated to continue my programming journey. The classes are easy to follow and are packed with exercises. You'll be amazed at how quickly you can learn! I am excited to start SheCodes Plus and expand my skills! 👩‍💻

The Basics workshop was so much fun! Thank you, SheCodes, for making coding fun to learn and accessible. The material is well-organized and strikes just the right balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application. I especially appreciate Matt's knack as a teacher 1) to frame the concepts in clear and memorable terms, 2) to pace how quickly new material gets introduced and digested, and 3) to tailor explanations pragmatically to what we need to know yet without dumbing any of it down merely because we're neophytes. I highly recommend this workshop.

I've had so much fun doing this workshop so far! I am currently working as a nurse and had absolutely no knowledge of coding or web development before this workshop. Matt is an excellent instructor! The lessons were thorough yet easy to understand and the challenges were engaging and fun to complete. I am excited to move forward into the SheCodes Plus workshop and learn so much more!

SheCodes Basics was a lovely intro to HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I loved the classes and the challenges. Getting to do some hands-on coding right away, really made me feel like I was learning quickly and effectively. It has definitely inspired me to want to learn more coding! This just gives you a little glimpse at the great possibilities knowing how to code can create.
