I am really happy to have joined and gradated from this program. It gave me all the skills I need to start my career as a Machine Learning engineer. The program is very comprehensive covering many areas from simple classification and regression algorithms, to more complicated topics like Neural Networks, Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing. Even though some of the concepts were advanced and in-depth, ZAKA does a good job at explaining them in a simple way. Overall, I highly recommend this program.

After I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science form the Lebanese University, it was very hard for me to figure out the next step and what am I going to do.I saw this opportunity and applied to participate in this 16-week-program about Machine Learning which was the subject that I enjoyed the most in the last semester of my academic journey for my license. All what I had in mind is diving deeper into this promising and interesting domain.During my machine learning program, I found particular fascination in exploring Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Natural Language Processing (NLP). Delving into the intricate layers and connections of these computational models was initially challenging, but I found it fascinating how they mimic the human brain's learning process. The most surprising aspect was witnessing the network's ability to autonomously uncover intricate patterns and relationships within data, highlighting the remarkable power and potential of neural networks in the field of machine learning.Participating in the career fair proved invaluable as it provided a glimpse into the professional landscape and enabled me to forge meaningful connections within the industry. Meanwhile, my project, a text-based product recommendation system, was a challenging yet rewarding endeavor. Project - AI Shopping Assistant using RAG:In the culmination of the program, I undertook a project that combined my passion for NLP and deep learning—an AI shopping assistant using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). This innovative approach aimed to revolutionize the shopping experience by providing personalized recommendations through natural language understanding. The project not only allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge but also honed my practical skills in implementing advanced AI techniques. The fusion of NLP and RAG showcased the transformative potential of AI in everyday tasks.

I recently completed a 16-week Machine Learning Specialization training program, and I am thrilled to share my experience. This comprehensive program provided me with an in-depth understanding of various machine-learning techniques and their real-world applications. I dived into fundamental Data Science principles, explored Machine Learning algorithms, delved into Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and Natural Language Processing, and gained insights into ML in Production and Research.

The highlight of this specialization was the capstone project, where I took on the challenging task of intracranial hemorrhage segmentation. Utilizing the U-Net architecture, I developed a cutting-edge machine-learning model that showcased impressive performance. the model demonstrated strong overall performance. While there were some challenges in accurately segmenting the object of interest, I thoroughly evaluated the model's performance using various metrics such as the IoU score, confusion matrix, and classification report, identifying areas for improvement and learning valuable insights.

In addition, I also developed another model with a unique architecture. This model achieved even better performance, boasting higher AUC and IoU scores. The precision, recall, and F1 scores were exceptional, highlighting the model's capabilities.

The completion of this Machine Learning Specialization and the successful execution of these projects have significantly enhanced my expertise in machine learning and deepened my understanding of its practical applications.  It’s only been a few days since graduation and I already miss Zaka | زكا, and how not? When it’s one of the best, if not the best certification program I’ve enrolled in so far.The Artificial Intelligence Certification program provided by Zaka | زكا is a 16-week intensive training program designed to equip you with the necessary knowledge, tools, and know-how for market-ready skills. The program is rich with educational and practical content, weekly office hours, hands-on sessions, and challenges that cover everything from ML and DS fundamentals to Deep Learning and MLOps.This was my favorite part as it provided a way for me to practice and implement all the knowledge acquired each week.The last 3 weeks of the program were the most challenging, each person had to form a team of 2-3, pick a capstone project to work on, and successfully deploy during those weeks. My teammates were Hussein Bashir and Habib Mrad, and our project is called RooFinder. The project aims to develop one or multiple combined Machine Learning models that can automatically identify rooftops and detect rooftop features like obstacles, material, slopes, and area from high-resolution satellite imagery using ML and DeepLearning Techniques Like Instance segmentation, Image classification, and Image Processing.I’d like to thank the Zaka | زكا team and especially Christophe Zoghbi and Reem Mahmoud who provided us with the weekly AI content, Fouad A. I was always interested in Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning and I did not have the opportunity to take it as a course in university. So I decided to join this bootcamp. The topic I liked the most is the NLP in the machine learning. It is something I want to get into in the future and this bootcamp was a great introduction to this topic. The topics that were new to me were computer vision. Its so fascinating learning how face detection and object detection works in an image. This program was a great way to introduce me to the field. I learned how to create my own models and many other concepts. And I have made many projects. After this bootcamp, I want to delve further into Artificial Intelligence. Since I have learned the basics in this bootcamp, I can now expend my knowledge and put them into practice. 

I'm an AI enthusiast, and I was looking for a place to start, but all the programs I've been involved in have been just an introduction to AI. But by chance, I belonged to Zaka, and it was the place I was looking forward to starting my career.Zaka is one of the most wonderful platforms, and one the most wonderful teams, as they care about the smallest details, and every week there is something new and new project, until the end of the program we throw ourselves in front of the graduation project, which is a beautiful experience.
