I took the time to research coding boot camps and consistently I kept hearing great things about Code Platoon. Especially at a time when there have been so many horrendous things coming out about coding boot camps taking money from students and not delivering on what they promised. This boot camp is different. There is camaraderie just like in the military. And as a military spouse, we are treated with the same respect as veterans and those that are using Skillbridge to learn. This boot camp is intense and not for the faint of heart. I would recommend everyone to check out Code Platoon. I have grown so much in my confidence, my knowledge about coding and my abilities. You will not be disappointed, these people truly care about teaching you the right things and they care about you getting a job afterwards!

The instructors and TAs are all very knowledgeable and great to work with. Code Platoon goes above just teaching you software development, it helps prepare you for interviews, working with co-workers and is great at helping you find your first job after graduation. I researched a lot of different bootcamps and Code Platoon clearly seemed like the best and it greatly exceeded all expectations that I had. Highly recommended for anyone thinking about going into software development!

Code platoon was amazing in every step of the way, From the beginning of the application process. Greg was answering all my initial questions with patience. The assessment was a good test on knowledge and skills, and then the start of the bootcamp went from basic to more advance topics. It progressed in a great pace, it was a well thought out curriculum. You definitely have to give yourself time to study outside of class, and even after hours the instructors are always there to answer your questions. The staff is amazing, and the support from career services is amazing as well. Overall very pleased with this bootcamp. Would 100% always recommend this to anyone.

Code platoon is an intense coding boot camp to spin you up from 0 to professional in 15 weeks. There is an expectation to know some coding skills before you start, and before the course begins you are given pre-work to get you up to speed so that all students start from the same ground. Additionally, there was a course held before my cohort called "fundamentals of programming" which, from all reviews of students who went through it, helped them so much. Without Code Platoon I would not have landed a job as a software developer. As a transitioning service member I did not want to get the same job in the private sector as I had in the military. With the certification of completion from Code Platoon, the personal and group projects on my github, I was able to show employers that I was an industry ready software engineer. 10/10 would recommend. Life changing.

The instructors are world-class and will train you to become proficient in full-stack software development with javascript, python, postgresql, html, css, django, react, and more. The instructors and student body are supportive and focused on your success in the program. You won't find a better experience than Code Platoon.

I recently Graduated from Code Platoon in their Uniform Platoon Full-Stack course. My experience with Code Platoon is one I will never forget. I learned more in 3 months than I would of learn in any college setting. As a prior college student and military service member I have never witnessed better instruction than I did while going through their course. Code Platoon takes you from knowing little to nothing about programming to creating complete applications from start to finish within 3 months. On top of their curriculum, they offer amazing career services / resume coaches / mentors / TA to assist you on your journey to help you along the way. This program IS a full time commitment. You need to be ready to dedicate the entirety of all 3 months to Code Platoon to get the best out of your time. If this isn't for you they also have other options like their weekend course/ part time. The course is for military service members transitioning out the military / military veterans / and military spouses so you feel right at home. If you're interested in become a software developer this is the course for you

Walked in with almost zero experience or knowledge. Walked out with a good baseline of knowledge, and the confidence to keep learning, growing, and applying the things I've learned. The instructors are great and super helpful. There are a large amount of TAs available to help people, including after hours. The administrative staff are super motivated to make sure you're ready for your next steps. Great experience overall.

If you're a military veteran or a military spouse looking for a way to enter the Tech industry, look no further than Code Platoon. I enrolled in Code Platoon because I discovered coding after using most of my GI Bill benefits on a 2 and 4-year degree (in an unrelated field) and was looking for a way to become a software developer. Fortunately, Code Platoon is an approved school for the VA's VET-TEC program, which covered all tuition while also providing monthly BAH.As far as the course goes, I'm not going to sugarcoat it. Like all good coding boot camps, it is demanding and requires a commitment but the instructors are awesome and the TA support is top-notch. The best part is, if you have any life events or family emergencies that get in the way, Code Platoon is more than happy to make sure you are able to handle those situations while providing the support to ensure you don't fall behind. Once the course is complete, you are enrolled in a Careers program where you can stay in touch with the school and they will try to help make sure you are prepared for job interviews.I would definitely recommend this course to any veteran or military spouse looking to launch a new career in Tech. Some advice for new applicants or members waiting to start their cohort with Code Platoon:
Try learning as much JavaScript and Python as possible before the course starts. I did not have very much coding experience before Code Platoon but the more you know from the beginning, the easier the course will be. They also teach the basics of each language at the beginning of the course.
Take your pre-work seriously. The pre-work is designed to set you up for success in the course.
ASK QUESTIONS - seriously, there are no dumb questions in this course. If you don't understand something, speak up! Instructors, TAs, and other students will be happy to help you.
Trust the process. For a while, it's going to feel like you're drinking from a fire hose but have faith. When you start applying the concepts you've learned in full-stack applications, it will all start to make sense.
Have fun. While the course can be demanding, you will be part of a tight-knit group of students and staff and when graduation rolls around, you will be sad to see everyone go their separate ways. So do your best to gain and maintain those connections and keep in touch with your classmates, TAs, and instructors.

My initial reasoning for choosing Code Platoon was because they were approved for DoD Skillbridge, and I'm 100% glad I went with them. Not only did I learn a very robust set of skills from an experienced team of instructors, they also allowed me the flexibility to handle my personal life while still being active in the course. It's clear that the primary focus of the organization is to help people LEARN new skills, and they didn't leave a single student on the sidelines to struggle on their own. Friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and the support structure with their partnerships and guest speakers is above and beyond what I anticipated. 10/10 recommend for anyone trying to start in the Tech Industry.

I attended the Evening and Weekend program (fully remote) from January 2022 - July 2022. I had been coding pretty basic projects in sort of an IT help desk role for a couple years leading up to the program; I had no experience with modern frameworks or web applications. This program was exactly what I needed to connect the dots between my fairly basic experience and the frameworks/principles/buzzwords that you see in so many job postings. An organized curriculum and time spent with instructors turned out to be what was missing in my self-paced journey prior to CP.I also have to mention that working on projects with peers was huge upside to the program. Employers are curious how you work/code with others. CP emphasized pair programming sessions for that reason. This helped provide some context to reflect on during interviews. After graduation, the crew that helped with the job search was incredibly helpful as well. They always touched base with me and encouraged me to refine my process and keep pushing.I received an offer about 8 weeks into my job search. I wish I had joined an earlier cohort, it was a life-changing program. I'd recommend this program to anyone.

I recently graduated from Code Platoon's Immersive 15 Week Full Stack Software Development Course, which I attended remotely and I highly recommend it. This program turns individuals with zero coding experience to capable and knowledgable Full Stack Software Engineers. On top of that they have a dedicated career development team which actively prepare and guide you to obtaining an entry level position after you graduate. If you are a Veteran/Active Duty Member/Military Spouse looking to break into the tech industry look no further.

Code Platoon was an overall great experience. I learned so much, and talking with senior software engineers out in the field about the curriculum, they were also impressed with the stuff we were being taught. This is a great option for veterans, active duty, or spouses.

Great set of classmate and instructor. Signing up to attend the class was easy and painless. Learned a lot of new technology with supportive instructor and classmate. The full stack development program was 7 months long and within the 7 months it can take a beginner to coding to create full stack application!

As a recent graduate of the Weekends and Evenings cohort, I can't speak highly enough of the entire Code Platoon organization! From admission to graduation, the staff were there to help every step of the way. Coming from a completely non-technical background, the instructors were clear and concise with their lessons and always encouraged us to asked questions. It can be demanding at times with working a full-time job, but it is expected and manageable. If you're on the fence about switching careers into Software Engineering, stop thinking and join Code Platoon! You will NOT regret it!

Overall, Code Platoon was a very good experience for me. I feel confident that the knowledge and materials provided to me over the past 7 months will lend a huge hand in starting my career in Full Stack Web Development. This course was thorough and the instructors were clear and concise in their lectures. They also didn’t hesitate to answer any questions that the students had. I would recommend this course to anyone interested in it. Just be sure to give 100% and you will be glad you did!

Code Platoon is an amazing resource for veterans and veteran spouses. The program and instructers were top tier, but their commitment to make the camp accessible to any vet/spouse who wants to join is what impressed me most. We were taught industry standard technologies, and though it was at times like drinking from a fire hose, the support system made sure we were set up to succeed.

Code Platoon is honest when they tell you it will be difficult, but you’re stacking a whole lot of knowledge into a few months. Regardless, it was the best decision of my life. I went from level 0 knowledge to being able to create fullstack applications, and now have an amazing software engineering apprenticeship. The instructors were awesome, the curriculum aligns with the industry, and I made some of the best friends I have - all while being remote. You’re going to have to put in work, that’s a given. But it was a blast and I couldn’t have images a better experience. Not only do you learn A LOT, but you also get to meet industry professionals and mentors to help with interviews, your resume, and your learning styles. Then upon graduating if you didn’t participate in the internship program, you get resources from their career services professionals to assist in the job hunt. This isn’t a bootcamp where they give you some online tasks then that’s it - there’s lecture, assessments, projects, 2 instructors, and a plethora of TAs you can talk to both during the day and after class.

If you're a military veteran or military spouse, look no other place than Code Platoon's Bootcamp. Code Platoon's cohort offers plenty of options to help pay for tuition such as the Post 9/11 GI Bill, VET TEC and scholarships. The staff and TAs are very knowledgeable on the subject and offers flexible courses to help fit your schedule. In order to be successful, you must treat this cohort like a full time job. The staff and TAs genuinely want to see you succeed and are willing to help you both during the cohort and post.
