I started the Full Stack Web Development Bootcamp on the 11th of January. I have had little to no experience in any of the front- or back-end aspects of web development. Since I have started, I have learnt so much. The syllabus is set in such a way that you gradually build up your knowledge and see how they are connected. When I code the time flies straight out of the window. Like they say, time flies when you are having fun. I am genuinely proud of the outputs of my tasks. I could have never imagined such nice creations without the help of HyperionDev.

I"m currently doing the Full Stack Web Developer Bootcamp, and wow, what a fantastic experience it has been thus far. The content is well formulated and easy to understand. The staff are friendly and they are always willing to assist whenever I have questions, or when I'm experiencing some difficulty with my tasks.

I have really been Enjoying the HyperionDev Immersive Full Stack and Software Engineering bootcamp, I come from an Advertising Industry background and learning to code on my own was difficult, but once i got enrolled into HyperionDev it really structured the path to becoming a full-stack software engineer.I understand more about JavaScript than I did when I tried alone and I am excited to learn other languages which are in my bootcamp. With the amazing community of mentors and Students who are always helpful regardless of which bootcamp you are in, makes this my number 1 recommendation to anyone who wants to learn software engineering or web development. The resources are plenty and the Assignments are supper fantastic, taking you right into thinking like a coder and getting hands on with coding right from the start. The best part about the bootcamp i am doing is that I get an accredited Higher Certificate which is an NQF level 5.I am learning so much with HyperionDev and each Task and Assignment I do is always exciting!

I recently started my Full Stack Web Development online boot camp at HyperionDev. As a new student to the world of developing, my experience so far has been positively challenging. The tasks which we are given to work on are based on real-life situations, meaning we don't just cover the module for the sake of passing time, but we are getting skills needed and necessary to apply in a working environment. The reviews on submitted tasks, provide feedback on what you are doing good, where you are going wrong and guidance on what to do to produce better work.

I'm coming from an Architectural background and wanted a platform to learn new skills to enter the Tech Industry through Web Development and HyperionDev provides that with online/onsite options. I chose the online option to learn the skills I need to become a Full Stack Web Developer while pushing my side hustle (creating art pieces). I was able to obtain a partial-scholarship because I was a student and they cost dropped from R20 000 to R17 970 - not a huge compansation but it helped a bit. The curriculum is so easy to follow and they also encourage doing additional research. This very necessary to implement as a developer as the Web is very volatile and one needs to make sure they are always up to date with what new in the industry. I love working at my own pace and the tasks help test your knowledge. HyperionDev implements a very interactive learning approach which has helped me to absorb a lot of information in such a short amount of time and I've been assigned a mentor who I can contact whenever I'm confused by something in addition, they have a discourse virtual campus where questions are answered very quickly by the community. I would recommend this institution to anyone who wishes to enter the Tech industry while obtaining up to date good quality education.

I started my full stack web development bootcamp in July after switching from a legal field. The course structure enabled me to pick up the programming concepts. Currently I'm on track with my tasks and hopefully I finish early December.

I enrolled in HyperionDev's online Full Stack Web Developer Bootcamp, at the start of March 2020, and it has been amazing so far. The course content is clear and concise and easy for anyone to understand, no matter how much or little coding knowledge they have. Besides the actual course content, multiple external links are provided to point you in the right direction when it comes to researching a topic or wanting to learn more, as well resources/learning material provided for further reading. One thing I think a lot of people learning to code struggle with is structure and where to start and and this bootcamp offered a much needed solution to this problem to help one advance their learning as there is a clear path or direction that needs to be followed. The tasks that are given is the perfect opportunity to test what you have learnt. The tasks get progressively more difficult as you move through the course and they do become more labour intensive but they are great in that they aim to really get you to show that you understand and are able to apply the knowledge that you have learnt. If you ever get stuck, you have your own mentor to assist. Besides that, HyperionDev has multiple communities and forums that all mentors, educators and students are apart of, you can speak to and work with people who are doing the same bootcamp and tasks as you are. Overall, I have had a great experience so far and highly recommend HyperionDev!

I started the HyperionDev program for full-stack web development on October 5th after some calls with the admissions rep and then someone from the career support department since I had a lot of concerns given web development would mean a career switch for me. They assured me that career support was guaranteed and that they had a placement rate of over 93%. The program will give you the basics of the MERN stack and although they sometimes state a certain subject will be covered in more detail in another section it sometimes isn't (they did some changes to the last section by the time I got there, so there seems it may be an issue with them updating their instructional pdfs). On a positive note, some of the lessons are quite challenging and will require additional research which enhances comprehension. I only had one mentor throughout the whole program and I ended up with mixed feelings, although he was helpful to overcome some hurdles there were other times where he simply stated he would investigate some more but never did (so those issues were left pending). I finished the program since March 2020 and started asking questions about career support and the next steps only to receive no replies as of April 14th. I emailed them five times to different people (one of those times they said it was due to a change in personnel, but I also didn't get a reply from the other person). On a last note, they project themselves as being international but their career support and writings seem directed only to South Africans, which would explain why once I finished they simply cut all support (aside from the lack of support post-graduation and no replies, I didn't get a mock interview or a portfolio review by their career support team like some of their last lessons state). PROS: Structured program that gives good starting points for additional research and helpful for those self-taught students that have a hard time knowing what to learn next. Mentors can assist with basic issues that new developers may stumble upon. CONS: Absolutely no career support, so if you're switching careers or thinking this bootcamp will help with employment avoid it. Mentorship feels strong in the early lessons but in more complex subjects there may be times when he doesn't know the answer and will be unable to provide it or he doesn't provide recommendations to improve the code complexity in his review. They take two weeks off during the holidays (which they don't make up for), so for those that take the program during the holidays they end up having two weeks less of support.

Very good coding bootcamp, if you are wanting to switch careers.
I did this bootcamp on a part-time bases.
Even though there were times that I felt like giving up, one must perservere through the difficulties.
The mentor is there to help out, and most times within 24 hours of the query being placed.
Graduate 2019
The course was well thought out and relevent to the current market and up to date technologies, covering most aspects of web development. I felt that the support was excellent, with constant daily feedback on my code as well as in online chat/video sessions if necessary. I was always kept engaged with projects and very practical examples.
The curriculum would benefit from a few more advanced projects to showcase skills at the end of the course.

Just finishing school the pressure is on a person to study further, but how can you study when you don't even know where to begin?
One thing was very clear to me though, my love & interest for coding. Upon hearing how in-demand a career in coding is, I did some research (Google can be ones bestfriend at times!) which led me to Hyperion Development. The words that caught my attention on their website was "Success".
I didn't need to have any experience hence I started at the very beginning, working my way upwards, with the basics and ended with a 'Full stack web dev course'.
I contacted them and with a blink of my eyes I started my coding journey. They have been extremely helpful lets not forget, reliable as well. Online studies work best in my opinion, you have a mentor for queries & the course for expanding your knowledge (with a bit of research).

Good day
My name is Joshua Richter and I would like to share my experience at Hyperion Development with other potential students who might be interested in giving it a go.
Course - Full Stack Web Development
Mentorship - Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude towards my mentors that assisted me during my actual bootcamp. You get to meet them via Google Hangouts or even via cellphone to discuss any queries / struggles that you might be experiencing. They've been incredibly helpful throughout the bootcamp and were also willing to go beyond their job descriptions and help me after hours / agree to more than one meeting per week if necessary.
Syllabus - I really enjoyed the work flow. In my Full Stack Web Development course, there were 3 levels, namely web development essentials, back-end web development with Python and finally, full-stack web development. The workload is manageable (I work from Mon - Fri every week and managed to finish quite easily). The compulsory tasks are also relevant to what is going on in web develpment presently, it is not based off of old outdated sources, which is good, especially for a career in web development.
Post-course - Once you have completed the course, you get career counselling. They pinpoint it towards your needs and requirements, which is such a cool bonus!
Overall, I really enjoyed the bootcamp and learnt a lot, all in just over 6 months! Highly recommend Hyperion Development!

This Bootcamp was a great 6 month course to get me ready to enter the IT sectorr. I recently decided to change careers, when I signed up for the Bootcamp in December 2017, I was given lots of support and assistance to get things up and running quickly. I progressed through the tasks, with the help of my Mentor. who responded within 24 hours of my questions. Good Bootcamp for anyone anting to enter into IT and make a career change. Even if you are leaving school, it will show you the different tools to become a knowledgable web developer. Thanks Hyperion :)

The Bootcamp helped me develop fully functional mini-website of my own in a very short period of time. The greatest advantage of taking this course with hyperion is that I learnt how to look for and use extra resources for my own learning. Moreover, if you are genuinely struggling, the mentors at Hyperion can help you out.
To prospective students, if you are interested in this course, be ready to be doing a lot of research to make your assignments look good and comprehensive. Make sure you fully understand what you did in any previous tasks before proceeding to any new work. Lastly, a reliable internet connection and patience are important.
Student 2017
Firstly, my background in formal education is in the legal field, and I currently own my own business. I came across hyperion when searching institutions on google whereby I could firstly increase and improve my skillset as well as to make my self more employable. Seeing that "software will eat the world" I decided to focus my search on software/web development.
I was entirely new in this field, some would say totally computer illiterate. With hyperiondev, I found a structure that challenges me and works. Make no mistake I have to put the hours in order to complete the tasks.
I appreciate the mentor support, as it is the perfect mix of allowing one to investigate the various possibilities and making mistakes in order to learn, but still being there to correct you when and should you need it. Its by no means being spoon fed, you have to put in the work in order to complete the tasks.
Thats what makes it so satisfying when you complete a module. I believe the hyperiondev mentors have it spot on with regards to tutoring you and have found a brilliant balance in doing same.
The course content and layout is also first class. I'm truly impressed and inspired to pursue another bootcamp with them once i'm done with this one.
