Best tutorial learning environment

I never imagined even in my wildest dream I would be able to join a boot camp due to limited resources.Freemote made my dream come a reality. As a person with no I.T background they really made my learning experience more simplified and easy.Anyone out there who is in doubt take it from me.Their money back guarantee clearly shows there not there for the money but rather share their knowledge and help other people who are just like me.

So Far So Good!

I'm two weeks into the 7 week program.  Truth be told it's a little MORE intense than I thought it would be.  I came in having had some experience so the first week on HTML and CSS was more review than anything else, but they managed to keep it informative and challenging.  I'm not sure how well a complete beginner would fare.I really appreciate the practical focus towards developing a portfolio to show employers your expertise.  This is not your typical online school.  Granted I'm only about 1/4 the way through, but I think I'm in the right place and the future looks bright to me.

Freemote review

Realy awsame engaging bootcamp.I have completed Week 1 with HTML and CSS and Week 2 with setting up the Shopify Store. The content of the bootcamp is carefully constructed with a lot of meaning and value.Really engaging content you learn by doing and you can complete a lot of projects and have them in your arsenal.Don't be frustrated if you don't complete the chapters in time, just keep moving on.

Amazing

This school is absolutely amazing, I love the hands on that you get with all the lessons practices and projects but I also love how you get a personalized video on your project assessments. so far from what I've seen week one is by far the hardest but most rewarding week since you have HTML and CSS thrown at you. I learned so much and how to use both languages pretty well that I was shocked at myself at how much I learned. If you decide to take this course don't let week 1 scare you off. It's difficult yes but keep at it no matter how long it takes you to finish. I have been doing this course for 6 hours a day and just finished week 2 after 5 days, it took me 3 weeks to finish week 1. Just keep at it and I promise you will be especially happy with your results

Amazing Learn and Earn Program

I am a former Full Stack Bootcamp graduate. I attended with the plan of learning skills to freelance. But I felt lost afterwards and wasn't confident enough to market those skills. I also didn't have a niche I could fall into. That is where Freemote became so beneficial to me. I am just getting into the portion where I will learn freelancing skills and tips. Learning this Shopify niche is amazing. On the surface Shopify seems easy enough that anyone could do it. But that is not the case. Being training and skilled in this niche should help me earn some side cash while I learn coding. And learning and earning on real world projects is critical to success. I also want to stress the importance of the network that follows.

Freelance Developer Bootcamp

I am currently enrolled in this boot camp (Week 3) and really like it, don't get me wrong, its not for everyone. I am someone who has always wanted to create my own business and have never really cared much about getting a silicon valley FANG job so the things that Freemote offers are extremely valuable to me, these are:- Resources such as app, recommended themes, testing pages and stuff the staff actually uses in real life for real projects- Pricing, marketing and selling tactics for you to actually use in your daily workflow- Programming tools such as version control(Git) and other resources that youll need- Precedence in the form of past experiences you can use to navigate entrepreneurship- Enough coding to get you started and some moreYou can probably find all of this online but it would most likely be inefficient and will take you more time, this program is perfect if like me, your biggest hurdle is getting started due to a case of analysis paralysis. I also recognize that the program wont make me a full web developer (they dont claim to) and I will probably need to learn more languages such as Node and React in my own but if I can support myself while doing some Shopify development and improve in my understanding of good store development and customer behavior, once I have a full web-dev knowledge I will be a better developer.

Just it time Web Dev course (5 out of 5 for me)

In early 2021 I was enrolled in a subscription course to learn web dev and because I have a very demanding job I couldn't keep up and I couldn't finish within the time I had and I was thinking about extending.Luckily, on YouTube I saw an ad for Freemote, and I really liked the idea especially the part that its self-paced. What helped even more is that the course was from Aaron Jack, I was already watching his videos on YouTube (he is a YouTuber as you know) and I already felt he is a trustworthy, genuine person. What made things even better for me is that just before I enrolled I had 2 questions, one about feedback (mentors or instructors on course) and if indeed I would receive it if needed? and the other about if instead of e-commerce freelance web developer, what if wanted to find a normal job as a web developer working in a company or business, would the course help me achieve that? and I got the 2 answers after emailing freemote in a very short period of time (like 24 hours) and it was Aaron Jack himself and his answers were thorough and what I was looking for. Basically for feedback (mentors or instructors) the answer was yes and regarding normal web dev jobs, I was reassured that the course would be excellent for that and Aaron explained to me this was a question a lot of people were asking. E-commerce gigs on your resume would be "real world experience" that can give you an advantage when applying to normal web dev jobs that many entry level web dev jobs candidates might not necessarily have. I also understood from Aaron that freemote helped people who wanted to start agencies also. After joining, things were as I expected (in the best possible way), the course contains a lot of material, its definitely suitable for beginners (like me), more advanced programmers would also benefit if they want to learn Shopify e-commerce. It takes times to go through all of the material unless you already know HTML, CSS and Javascript. In addition to what the instructor do, there are many exercises, quizzes and projects (some of the big projects you can submit for review when done if you want "optional"). The instructors (Aaron and Jan) do an excellent job in explaining things thoroughly, clearly and concisely and its obvious they are listening to students feedback (as an example in one video that is considered "bonus" Jan is saying he did it because students asked and the video is NOT short, maybe 25 minutes and you could tell he prepared really well for it). They (Instructors Aaron and Jan) respond to comments underneath the videos or lessons although I never personally posted. The mentors or instructors (other than Aaron or Jan) also respond in the comments all the time. The videos are usually short, this helps a lot so that you don't get distracted or lose interest. Even the few videos that are considered-relatively speaking- on the "longer" side like 25 to 30 minutes or a bit longer are not an issue at all because Aaron and Jan keep you engaged and you are at the end before you know it.When I need help, I send an instructor my question via email and the link to my codepen for the project and I usually get the response the very next business day in a loom video (freemote say expect response 24-72 hours but I never reached 48 or 72 hours with them and this is impressive!!!). Until now the only mentor I am working with is Berk (I didn't finish the course but getting closer and closer). Berk is very thorough and explains thing very clearly (HTML, CSS and Javascript), the first time he sent me a 20 minute loom response. Other times were also thorough (and as long as needed) and all were really quick responses. I didn't work with Kaido ever, however, I must say, all the comments left to other users in the course by Kaido are all awesome. To learn and advance quickly in programming you need a mentor, and freemote is a great opportunity for that. One of the weeks in course is about "Freelancing skills & Strategy" and even here there are several hours (containing many in-depth videos) about all you could imagine related to this topic, like virtual office setup, business strategies, portfolio setup, Freelancing on UpWork (including submitting your ready UpWork profile for review!!), direct freelancing, contracts, onboarding and other topics.I highly recommend the course if you are interested in becoming an e-commerce web developer or a web developer in general.   Saleh

Great Course Structure, Great Instructors, Great Code Mentors.

The teaching approach of any instructor goes a long way in grooming the success of his students down the line. The teachers and the entire team at Freemote perfectly exemplifies this. One crucial aspect of the Freemote coding bootcamp I love is how much the instructors and code mentors are involved in the success of the students. They are very swift with responses to coding problems faced by students and this for me is exactly what I wanted when I purchased the course. I will gladly give the Freemote team a 5 star rating.

Excellent course

This course is legit. The team believes in overdelivering to the expectations which is really rare to see.  I continue to learn a ton every single day and the advice given is very practical and straightforward. No waste of time. Expect to dedicate a lot of time. 20 hours of focussed work. No distractions. That's the best and the most affecive way to retain the information. This is real education and no get rich quick BS. Have realistic expectations from this course and... life in general! Haha. Best of luck 👍 I hope you find your freedom!

Freelance Developer Bootcamp

So my experience with Freemote has been amazing for a multiplicity of reasons and I'll start off with how I came into the course. My first interaction with Freemote came from the advertisements I've been noticing on Youtube, I was searching in videos for coding and trying to find the resources to help me learn how to understand different coding languages (for a free course I was trying out) and that's primarily when I remember coming across advertisements from Freemote and Aaron Jack. A long story short, after several advertisements later I clicked on the link and listened to one of his Youtube videos and that is where my exact feelings about coding were explained in one video. My interest at that time skyrocketed because I felt that this course could possibly add some direction in my learning journey for coding. The next thing that happened in my timeline is that I booked a free call with one of Freemote's staff and had a live video call where I was able to ask any questions I had about the course, expectations, people in my similar position, etc. After that call I decided to sign up for the course because I literally had nothing to lose with their cash-back guarantee so I thought "Why not?". From that moment forth when I decided to join the Freemote group I knew that this was a decision I did not regret making because this course has all the necessary tools to help me succeed in my opinion. I say this because here I've been pushed to go on my own to try and do the coding work by myself and whether I get the code correct or not I feel I was able to get all the resources I needed beforehand for that particular assignment opposed to feeling like the material needed hasn't been taught sufficiently enough. The main idea I'm getting at is that this course helps me to feel proud of myself for working out a problem on my own and then looking at the proper solution to help reinforce/encourage me to continue to get better. The best of all is that this course is super active and up-to-date with its lessons. Other resources I looked into before Freemote typically had outdated material and really didn't inspire me to reach out for help when I needed it. Here at Freemote I receive help from online mentors who send recorded videos critiquing my code and also offer advice on ways I can make my code better as well as answering any questions that I have about my code. This was absolutely mind-blowing to me because after just one of these videos I felt my learning skyrocketed and it only helped me realize how much I enjoyed doing this course day after day.I've only been enrolled for a couple weeks now while still working a full-time job that demands 40+ hours a week but this course has been able to teach me so much of what I can be confident in doing in such a smaller time frame than what I thought possible and it continues to inspire me more each lesson. I know this course is a super valuable asset to me and I would definitely recommend this to anyone out there who wishes to get into coding but doesn't know where to start. This is a great place for you to begin or continue your coding journey!

Informative, Engaging, and Transformative

After spending years on a career path that I thought I loved, I found myself in a job that had a gaslighting, verbally abusive boss with no prospects of moving forward or to a different position. I began a long process of teaching myself coding since I couldn’t afford one of those pricey bootcamps.A Freemote ad came up on Instagram after one hard day at work and a disappointing night trying to learn basic JavaScript. The way in which Aaron presented the course in the promotional video was very engaging. Looking into more of the details of the program the aspects that stood out to me were:     ✅ Self-paced program with video walkthroughs of concepts     ✅ Coding languages of HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Liquid     ✅ Specialization in Shopify     ✅ Career development with direct freelancing and UpWork options.     ✅ Facebook group for support     ✅ Videos and content constantly updated with lifelong access to site     ✅ Price was affordable
The way that Aaron and Jan teach the content is exactly what I needed. They teach the concepts, provide exercises, strategies to complete exercises, and then a walkthrough of how the exercise could be completed. This course has allowed me to leave my awful job and land clients through direct freelancing and through UpWork. The course has transformed my work life and has allowed me to do something that I really enjoy doing with the freedom to spend time with my family.

Best Shopify/Freelance course

I came across Aarons YouTube channel in the summer, after starting to teach myself HTML on code academy. Saw his video and I was intrigued. Found Freemote and I thought why not give it ago. And wow, is it worth it, the structure of the program is amazing, Aaron and Jan are really good at explaining and teaching. They can make everything that looks hard from the outside look quite easy once they explain it. I love the Freelancing Week, really good tips! I've already managed to land myself my first client on UpWork building a shopify store from scratch! Really looking forward to where this new career can take me.

The best way to start Freelancing today !

I already had some experience in programming before Freemote so what I was looking for the most was the Shopify and Freelancing specific sections. I wasn't disappointed, I learned how to effectively get clients and actually got my first job on the very first day I started looking !I recommend that programme to anyone who wants to become a successful freelancer.

Freemote to the rescue!

Having struggled for three years from what people would think as a midlife crisis or worse, Freemote gave me hope! From marriage problems to shutting down my business to family health issues to Covid-19 Pandemic to 5 deaths in the family in a very short amount of time, this program gave me hope, focus, direction, and later accepting a job offer after over 257 applications. Not only is this course structured towards the student, but it’s growing a network of individuals that have your back and help you in times you feel like you want to quit the program. If the program were easy then it really would t be that much fun. Jan does an excellent job in explaining hard concepts real easy and simply put, best bang for your buck!

Fastest route for web developers

I have been trying to learn web development since the beginning of this year, nearly gave up in the middle of it.My mistake was that I had a scope of skills that was too broad ( full stack development ).Then I tried to narrow it to just the front end using React but it was still very challenging. Just building a simple chat app took me 3 weeks. After that, I said screw it let’s join freemote, once I had a portfolio of projects I started to send proposals and I got my first gig just after 10 days of joining the program which was translating a website, currently I managed to get a second one.I truly believe this is your fastest route to become a web developer!

Course Review

I was in a coding bootcamp for a couple of months while working part time in retail store before joining Freemote. The problem at the time with the traditional coding bootcamp is I was having to have two mentor meetings of week and I was needing something I could work on more at my pace and Freemote gave me just that. This bootcamp has given me so much confidence and I've even already started earning money as a freelance developer! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get into freelancing and software development.

Freelance or corporate - this course will help you!

Long story short: Completed a full-stack developer bootcamp in 2020. Joined Freemote in April 2021. Improved my web dev knowledge and skills immensely. Working as a freelancer since May. Within 3 months after starting, I was successful at job interviews for 2 top companies in my country. Today I received a job offer to work as a junior dev for a unicorn company.Short story long:I was 39 years old and never coded a line before 2019. Joined a full-stack bootcamp while working full time. It cost over 5k, finished it by the end of 2020 and spent the next 5 months looking and applying for dev jobs without success. To be fair, my skills at that point were weak. I had a general understanding of how different coding languages work, but wasn't really able to create something on my own. I wouldn't have hired me either.I kept studying independently and built some front-end websites as practice, but I lacked structure and had no-one to help me when I got stuck. In April 2021 I saw a video about Freemote bootcamp and it looked like a good fit for an affordable price. Besides I knew a guy that was preparing to get into eCommerce and needed an online store set up at the end of summer and we agreed that I'll get my Shopify skills up and help him set up his store for the price of the admission fee. I had my first client in the bag before I even started. :)I used some of my tax returns to purchase Freemote and in hindsight it was the best investment I've ever done.I kept applying for local dev jobs while going through the course and 1.5 months after starting, I landed a front-end dev interview with a local robotics company. I passed it successfully and received good feedback. Unfortunately an unexpected budget freeze in their company pushed the actual hiring process to autumn.A few weeks after that, I landed another interview. It had a live coding session as one of the interviews and hand on heart, if I would’ve tried it before April, I would have failed miserably. But thanks to Freemote, I knew enough to be successful and got an offer from a unicorn company.About the course:I think the fact that Aaron was a teacher before becoming a programmer really makes a difference. Aaron's way of teaching is so much better than anything in my previous full-stack bootcamp or any Udemy course I've tried. I definitely solidified my previous understanding of HTML and CSS and learned some new information. The best part for me was JS. Aaron explains complicated concepts and the exercises he provides - it all just started to click in my head. Especially followed by the Advanced JS module where Aaron teaches how to use JS to work with data and build dynamic websites.Jan is a Shopify wizard and makes a totally new platform easy to grasp. The stores that you have to build as a part of the course look crisp and Jan's explanations set you up with enough to build, modify and migrate anything your future clients would ask for. Even if you don't get it right away, there is an option to ask additional questions in the comment section of each video and he always replies with tons of useful information. The freelancing module really helps with setting up your profile on Upwork, portfolio website, strategies to reach and close customers, advice about accounting, taxes, networking, communication etc. Everything needed to set up your one-man business. The FB group of the course is filled with likeminded people of different background and experience levels, all helping and encouraging one-another. Since I had some previous experience I tried to help as best I could as well, cause you learn the best by explaining something to others.
Wrap-up:Having said all that, there are no guarantees in life, every person will have a unique story. Freemote gives you the tools to be successful and points you in the right direction. It is YOU that will have to put in the time and consistent effort to turn it into a personal success.

Life changing course. Point. Blank. Period.

So my name is Avery, and I first started the course with literally 0 software development skills. After getting through the basics of the course with the frontend languages, I dove into Shopify, and I fell in love. Since then I have become a full time remote freelance Shopify Developer and make over double what I did at my 9-5. If you have the drive to complete this course, and the willingness to put yourself out there, you WILL succeed. I finished the course in around 2 months and left my job in 3. I don't feel like a special case, or some superhuman, I was just determined. If you're serious, and I mean really serious, this course can and will change your life.
