So, I already did a one-year course in Web Development (full-time). I can't say I regret it, I learned a lot and it was very interesting. Still, after one year I have the problem that I am now a jack of all trades and a master of none. That's why I decided to do Freemote on top. And what can I say? I am a few weeks into it and I love it so much! The Html and CSS part gives you what you need - not more, not less. Perfect, if you don't want to waste your time. For me, it was a welcome opportunity to practice my skills by doing the projects. And now I am learning to be a Shopify expert - still love the course! If I could go back in time and had to decide, which one, Freemote or the one-year course, I would definitely choose Freemote! A word of caution, though. This is not a sprint, this is a marathon. For most people, it will be longer than 7 weeks, maybe a lot longer (in my opinion). You need to be persistent and you need to be a learner and a problem-solver, or you will not succeed in learning how to code anyway, no matter which road you choose. For me, I believe in laying a strong foundation, that's why I wouldn't pace through the course anyway. That having said, I believe this course is an excellent choice, one of the best courses I ever did (and I tried a lot). One last piece of advice, I believe it matters a lot if you like your teachers or not. So check out Jan and Aaron on YouTube. Ok, now go for it ;-)

I came into Freemote with NO coding, development, or programming experience. I found this industry fascinating and wanted to be apart of it but was sure someone like me had no place in it with no formal education and already being 28 years old. Freemote helped me believe I could make a strong career yet and provide for my family in a way I never believed I would be able to. Freemote is tough but they trim the fat from this higher level, technical information and make it as digestible as possible for true novice students. I am well into the program and I understand more than I thought I could, I've been able to revisit or re-do all the content I've needed to ensure I felt confident in the material before proceeding. I am 100% convicted that I WILL get a job in the tech industry and that front-end web development and freelancing is only the beginning. Aaron, Jan, and the entire Freemote team have given life to the dream that I can love what I do for a living and I can be more than a grunt. The price they ask is trivial compared to the surpassing joy of the life they are helping me to build. All that is truly required of me, is a steel hard dedication and an iron will to press forward and master a task I once thought too great for me and that is to be a developer.

With a very practical learning method, this bootcamp teaches you from how to code to properly handle clients. The video classes have exceptional quality and you can learn a lot from the feedback. Also, the cheat sheets are pure gold, and will definetly be useful once you start to work with clients!I'm very satisfied, all the learning has been great! :)

Hello freemote team, my name is Javier and I am from Guatemala City. Thank you for such as awesome program for this career. I'm currently finishing Module 3 to become a Shopify Expert. I'm learning a lot of new things and I feel so happy with the course. There are some topics that may be a little be intimidating because I never saw them before in my life. However, I'm completely focused on succeed and I have the confidence that the community is always there to offer support, plus that I'm aware that we are issue solvers. I will keep going because I'm 100% sure this will thrive in the best possible way. You are the best Freemote Community. 

I am currently on my 3rd week with Freemote. And I truly believe this program is for anyone who wants to learn to code to become a web developer or freelancer.  Yes, it’s hard work and there are no short cuts here. However, Jan and Aaron are great mentors who explain every lesson thoroughly. Freemote has an exceptional team and a community that is very supportive.    Freemote has given me the confident and structure I need to become a full-time web developer or freelancer if I choose. 

Investing in Freemote was by far the best decision I have made to become a great developer and one of the best career moves overall. It is hard to believe the amount of knowledge and how well the knowledge is communicated for the low price tag. I think one of the best things about Freemote is that it is more of a membership than a regular BootCamp in that once you pay into the community, you have continual access to updated course material. Aaron, Jan, and the freemote team are hyperfocused on tailoring and updating the course catalog to teach what is working now (whenever now is for you)! Buying Freemote once is like buying Freemote 2021, Freemote, 2022, Freemote 2023, Freemote 2024...etc!The information provided is in-depth enough to inspire confidence but not so in-depth that it is overwhelming, somewhere between a "crash-course" and a "college curriculum course".I would do it all over again!!!

I've been in the program for a few months, moving a little slower than what the course is designed for, but the course is very informative and realistic. I had prior programming knowledge, and still there are many insights and explanations that Aaron offers that made concepts that at one time eluded me make total sense. Jan and the rest of the team are very knowledgeable of their crafts and it shows. The technical support is top notch, and they really take the time and care to thoroughly address the problems you may have and work with you until you get it.The ONLY caveat I would put forth is that the program, though very structured (how I needed it), requires a good amount of creativity and proactivity on your part. Particularly when you get to the freelancing stage, you are going to need to take it on yourself to design and build a decent portfolio site all by yourself (though there are many sites all over the internet to help with this). This is something that I personally struggle with and take no pleasure in doing, and if you're like me, you may want to at least know up front what this program will demand of you. Everything else was dense, well guided, and very well structured to where you always feel challenged but never overwhelmed.And finally, the community you will be a part of is priceless, and well worth the price of admission for any serious partakers. You can tell these guys genuinely care about your success, practice what they preach, and have been exactly where you've been.

Calling this just a bootcamp would be misleading.  Freemote is so much more.  What sets them apart  in my opinion is 2 things.  1.  The have a focused path and set of technologies to propel a student from start to finish.  And by finish, they mean get you working in the field.  How?  2.  This is the ONLY bootcamp I've seen out there that balances coding and soft skills in a way that can take someone from novice/outsider to paid freelancer/insider.  Third thing worthy of mentioning is how Aaron and Jan have structured the course.  They both truly have a gift when it comes to teaching technical concepts.  And that, alone, justifies the cost.  Anyone who's tried to learn a programing language knows how slow and painful it can be.  What they have taught me would have taken me years to learn any other way.  

I've been so afraid of scam schools and this is not it! So happy and grateful to have found freemote. I've learned so much more than I ever did on online tutorials and books and scam bootcamp. Thank you for the consistent time and effort you all put into keeping this curriculum up to date and adding to it. The community is amazing and I've already made so much visible progress! Thank you!

This Bootcamp is something else. I started approaching coding a year or so ago on self-learning platforms.My learning wasn't going as planned. I felt lost and couldn't keep my motivation and discipline up. One of the main reasons was that I didn't have a clear goal and had no one to help me.Before finding Freemote, I was considering another University of Chicago Bootcamp. They asked me for $12k, for 6 months of online classes and nothing guaranteed when I finished.Right after that, I stumbled upon an ad from Aaron. I recognized myself in everything he said and immediately sent my information to get an interview with one of their recruiters.The recruiter, Steve, was super helpful and kind. He gave me all the info I needed. The price was very affordable (compared to the $12k I had been asked days before 😅).I bought the course the next day.I'm on my third week and Woow!!! So far so good.I really feel like I'm being followed by professionals. Whenever I have a problem I have someone to answer me within 48h.The lessons are clear and I love the fact that the videos are short but very comprehensive.I sent the first project for feedback and was sent a personalized video where my code was checked.The Facebook community is also great and really friendly.This Bootcamp is giving me a direction in life. I now have a clear goal in mind and I also have mentors and coaches following me and helping me in order to achieve my goals.I seriously think this has been one of the best decisions I have made in years.Truly grateful for finding this program 🙏🏻

Overall the course has been a great experience so far. As a complete beginner it is challenging to learn some of the coding content but the way they teach has made it much easier then I expected. Week 1 so far has been the longest to complete. Week 2 was much easier and quicker to complete. I'm starting week 3 today and I'm looking forward to completing it so I can get closer to getting my own clients. The course definitely builds your confidence up so that you can feel capable of considering yourself to be a professional when trying to get clients. There's a lot to learn and it can feel overwhelming sometimes but the key for me has been to focus on actions > outcomes, as Aaron says in the course.

Freemote is one of the top courses for someone who wants to learn how to code and become a freelancer fast.I learnt from a lot of courses but Freemote delivers everything it promises. Jan and Aaron are motivating you in each step, the lessons are really clear, they have an awesome community, the support team is always there to help. The course is definitely worth the investment

The course is very well done in everything from helping you understand the business side of being a freelancer to writing code. And it takes you from no experience to the expert level on both sides very fast. I couldn't be more happier than choosing this lifestyle for a job and I have freemote to thank for exposing it to me.
