Practicum experience was the best thing I did this year, from theory to practice, even before finishing I was passing interesting interviews. I improved my portfolio significantly and feel I'm way more confident in my hard skills but also soft skills…- Projects and reviews are on point, - Courses encompass all that you will need to master the field. And you can turn back to summaries when you want to.- Slack channels are very organized.- Instructors office hours' are helpful. - Community managers were always there to help with meeting deadlines for example.The overall experience was very helpful and fun.  

I went to the program with no prior background, and I was worried about the fact that the whole course is at Python and I can't print 'hello world', I discovered a convenient and clear platform with explanations examples and practices, 24/7 technical support.The instructors are excellent attentive patient and professional and available .sometimes even at 4 AM .a one-on-one meeting for further questions is available.The course is intensive professionally and includes a lot of material but the staff were able to convey it in a profound relaxed and good way.

My experience in Practicum by Yandex's Data Scientist curriculum has been nothing short of an amazing learning experience. I am a busy graduate student and this coding boot camp gives me the ability to learn while being a full-time student in my graduate program. It is a huge commitment, but it has been worth the late nights and seeing the milestones as I go along. Practicum is also great at helping develop your skills beyond learning how to code in Python and Jupyter Notebooks. Throughout the training, they have times to go over soft skills in order to help you understand the ins and outs of working in the tech industry. This is especially helpful for the nervousness of the first week on a new job. They also have a career prep course that is free for the data analyst and the data scientist students to participate in. This course helps students prepare for the grueling interview process. There are so many different aspects that data scientist candidates have to put together for an interview. This includes a GitHub page, portfolio, LinkedIn, and even possibly a website. Practicum by Yandex leads you through this process and answers any and all questions you may have. Overall, my experience has been extremely positive and I know that as I continue to go through the program I will continue to develop my skills both analytically and professionally. 

I just finished the Data Science course of Practicum by Yandex. There is only the final project at the moment. Finally, I feel lucky to have learned a lot of theory and had the opportunity to practice. Concepts with well-chosen examples, tasks after lessons, projects, webinars, Slack channels for support, code readers, tutors, instructors and community managers... When you add also yourself, there seems to be nothing missing. Regular study is the most important thing that I learned, then hard work comes.  Congratulations to the Practicum team.

Wondering why it's the best? And I would say there is no better place to learn not just to code but also to understand the concepts. Coming from a finance and accounting background, I needed something that would accord me both theoretical and practical lessons. I only have a few sprints to finish and can confidently say, I have no regrets since starting. My interest in data science all started at a time when I started my MBA. I decided on a topic that required skills that I didn’t have. All I could tell myself after going through some basics was, I might as well see this through the end. Fast forward, I started looking for a place where a beginner like me would be feel left out.  I have enjoyed every moment spent going through this course. From the lessons, working on projects, or interacting with the support team when I encounter problems while coding.  And the icing for me is the weekly webinars which provide you with lessons beyond what has been taught on the platform plus the support from the tutors. Even the pop-up comments you get when you submit your work as you go through each lesson cracks you up some things, the feeling that you are not alone in it. The projects to complete after every sprint and be graded on are always challenging but always worth it. And even the reviewer’s comments go beyond just reviewing your code. They provide you with additional information to read on so as to improve your code better at the next sprint. Following these recommendations places you ahead of the curve. 

10 months ago, I started a data science educational program at Practicum by Yandex. By that time, I’ve done several MOOC courses on different platforms, read a bunch of blogs and articles on how to switch to the data science field or become a data scientist.  I was lost. There is a huge amount of information and all advices are good. But how do I exactly start? Where do I begin? I needed a direction. I needed a mentor, a tutor, a community. And all this I found in the program. If you know someone who doesn’t know how to start, please feel free to refer them to Yandex Practicum. They will get a very well-structured program, 24/7 support and mentorship, a lot of hands-on experience and 10+ projects to their portfolio. The price is affordable and the quality is outstanding! With this very good beginning my journey continues.

I will be eternally grateful to Practicum for 'launching' me in data science field. Had I not done this bootcamp, I would have never managed to do so many projects, learn about so many different techniques and models which are widely used in the industry and not just data science related stuff but even general coding in python. I started this course because I did my bachelors in statistics so data science was a natural choice for me. Many students get placed in such roles so I thought that having done this bootcamp will give me an edge. And thanks to this course I changed my masters ( graduate degree) from statistics to computer science because I realised that I like coding much more than statistics. During this course we touched down on all aspects, statistics required, business value, working with text, time series, computer vision, sql queries in python, data mining using api and more. The tutors are there to solve your queries  regarding any topic, if life gets in the way and you cannot meet a deadline let your community manager know and they will help you out and also the community, you become a part of, helps you at every step! They also have a career acceleration program where they get you real world projects from companies which you can add to your resume.

I started learning Data Science a year ago through MOOC's like Udemy, Coursera but after completing so many of those program, I was lost when it comes to starting a project. I did not know how to structure my thinking the data science way. I started looking for project based bootcamp that would not cost an arm and a leg. After reviewing various bootcamp in the US, I settled for Practicum by Yandex Data Scientist bootcamp. Firstly because it was cheap and you end up with 15 real life projects. Also, because the first Sprint which was free was so attractive to turn down. The curriculum is structured like a real tech company where you train on the platform for a week or two and work on a project the next week. After completing the first free sprint, I was hooked. I fell in love with the platform so much that I was coding at any free time I have. If your goal is to learn to code for real, think like a data scientist or analyst, then Practicum by Yandex is for you.My favorite part of the program is the project and code review. It can also be the annoying part because project review can take two to three cycle with corrections back and forth with your reviewer. At the end when your project is approved, there is that satisfaction that comes from achieving a feat. I love the weekly webinars on different topics in data science and the fact that you can connect with your tutors and peers through a common slack channel. My coding has improved from the live coding section with tutors. I believe that I am truly on my way to becoming a data scientist. I am currently in the 10 sprint but I already have some interviews lined up based on the strength of my portfolio. There is the optional career development at the end of the program for the US market with job guarantee but I haven't gotten there yet to see how good it is but I can tell you, with the strength of what I have done so far, getting a job shouldn't be a problem. 

Valuable and challenging coursework that continued to push me forward in learning. The tutors are always there to help with unblocking you during your studies. The projects are modeled from real-world scenarios which made them quite interesting to work on and solve. Joining the Practicum by Yandex Data Science program was one of the best decisions I have made this year. Right from the introductory course to the full-time program, my entire experience has been excellent. The interactive learning platform contains relevant coursework accompanied with practical tasks. They even have interesting and funny messages that has kept me glued to learning on the platform. One of the things that stands out to me the most is the 24/7 technical support. Anytime I encountered challenges, the support team was always quick to help unblock me.The people at Practicum are amazing! The community managers care a lot about student's progress and check in often. The tutors, instructors and senior students are very responsive and provide helpful feedback to students via the Slack community and webinars. The program is project-oriented so I get to complete at least one real world project for my portfolio. I also love that the Practicum team is very open to receiving feedback and are constantly looking out for ways to improve the program and student experience. I'm super excited about the opportunity to study Data Science with Practicum and highly recommend them.

I began the  Practicum data science course with basic knowledge of Data Analysis and Machine learning.  I joined this Bootcamp to expand my knowledge and indeed the tasks were checked manually with useful remarks and tips and I learned a  lot and in addition, I have a nice portfolio with the practicum projects.

I had very minimal prior Python experience (intro course on Coursera) before deciding to enroll in the Practicum introduction course for Data Science. In brief, the introduction course is an amazing way to get your feet wet in the field of data science. The introduction course is well structured and explains topics in a way that can be easily understood. The course also gives a lot of real life examples when explaining concepts and lessons. I think that learning coding can be a bit overwhelming but Practicum introduction course managed to help me gain a lot of confidence with Python very quickly. While enrolled in the introduction course, I was debating between joining Practicum and other 'job guarantee' boot camps but ultimately decided on Practicum because it is much more cost efficient and the support/curriculum has been amazing so far. I would definitely recommend!

I  am a bit over half way through the Data Science program - it is an 8 month course. the first chapter is free so you can get a feel for if it will work out for you. the platform work is step by step - so introduce a concept, apply the concept, then introduce a new aspect of the concept, etc.where the program really shines, in my opinion, is the tutors and the projects.the projects are realistic scenarios and, while you are expected to use the concepts taught in the chapter, there is also room to try out new methods, libraries and approaches. you are then paired with a reviewer who will provide feedback, additional information and hints on how to make your end product better.the tutors are able to provide explanations and input on how to better perform tasks and understand concepts.overall, i think the value is amazing, especially considering the cost and length of the course. it is very in depth.

 In November I participated in Practicum 100, having a little experience in languages such as C, C++ and C#. I decided to take part in this competition trying to do my best. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to be among the 100 most talented. But I found myself so well during the course of the first module "Python and Data Analysis Basis" that I decided to buy a course with Yandex anyway! The first thought I had on the course was that the working platform was great, and that's what I still think. Yandex's platform it's one of the point of strenghts of the programm! I had already tried some other platform by other site that allow you to try them before to buy a programm, but I usually felt really bad with them. On the contrary with this one, I really had a good feeling. Theory was really clearly explained and exercises well structured. Without going long, only in the first month, I had learned the basics of Python and Pandas library. So I started the course and in few times, I was working on projects, being able on my own to organize databases with thousand of records, was something absolutely amazing. I was literally thrilled by those experiences! I went trough Data Preprocessing, Exploratory data analysis (this one super interesting, helped me to learn to draw stunning graphics with data), statistical data analysis and SQL in few months. After that, started the Data Science part, that I am still currently following. What I love about this part is the possibility to create machine learning algorithms and models. this translates into starting to build algorithms for artificial intelligences. I had never thought, to get in such a short time to be able to do something like this. Those were my experiences about the programm, platform and lessons but Yandex is not only that, they have a platform to communicate among students where you can get help from tutors, support team and managers if you have any sort of problems. They are always there, ready to support you in continuing studying and helping you to be successful in the programm. A really big thanks to the entire team! Furthermore, are often provided really interesting webinair about subject related topics, almost all weeks! After the programm, is expected a work preparation period, as said, they are going to help students with curriculum and portfolio preparation, I am not already on that programm part but curious to taking part to that as well! I really am hoping to land a good job after Yandex course. I don't know if I am going to accomplish that but extremely positive considered the quality of the course. 

I was offered a full time position as a clinical data analyst last November - Practicum by Yandex contributes greatly to this achievement.I love the way the team put a lot of effort in developing the content for the data science curriculum. They teach us from basic python syntax to complicated machine learning models, and also help us review mathematic concepts in linear algebra, statistics and probability. I think this is a holistic way to approach data science because you need not only to be able to deploy machine learning models, but you need to understand the math behind them, and to be able to preprocess data before running models.Another thing I love about the program is the responsiveness of all the team, from tutor to project reviewer to community manager. This make you avoid confusion on your learning journey as much as possible. The fact that they set deadlines for projects and lessons helps us to keep discipline and follow our goal. They are also flexible enough to grant us a few academic leaves if we can't catch up with the space of the whole group because of our busy schedules.I used a lot of knowledge and skills learned from Practicum to get through job interview and apply for my current job. With these great things, I highly recommend Practicum for those who want to start or switch to Data Science/Analytics career.

I always had a keen interest in pursuing my career in the area of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. I was looking for a good, instructor led online course that would enable me to learn and also do hands-on Data Science projects. When I found about the curriculum and learning process of the DataScience Bootcamp by Practicum@Yandex, I immediately enrolled in the program, and I am thankful I DID, because it is an EXCELLENT PROGRAM.This course consists of online, comprehensive, well planned, highly educational course material with hands-on exercises, challenging hands on projects, collaborative stack of Slack and Notion, and a community of professionals and educators. This course has enabled me to learn various topics in Data Science (Python, Data Preprocessing, EDA, SDA, AI, ML, Deep Learning, ComputerVision, Supervised Learning, Unsupervised learning and much more). It has increased my curiosity to learn more, boosted my confidence to a level where I am eager to work on new projects in Data Science.   This course also has a web-development part, where we can learn in the web-development introductory courses offered by Practicum @ Yandex.  Everything in ONE place.The course is very rigorous and used Agile Methodology of Sprints. The active help and 24/7 support from the technical instructors, coaches, administrative staff, and students have made the entire learning a very pleasant and confident process.  The instructors and coaches are very learned, knowledgeable and experienced. They are willing to go above and beyond to enable us to learn more. There are well-planned webinars held to teach new concepts and discuss the projects.A year ago, Data Science seemed to me a far-reaching goal and I used to wonder  if I could ever do that online. The Practicum @ Yandex Data Science boot-camp has enabled me to reach my goals in less than a year. With their constant guidance and support, I am very optimistic to find a job in the Data Science field. Thank you all at Practicum @ Yandex. 

  I am writing this review as a current student of Practicum Data Science program, we are about half way of the course and I have to say I love almost every single aspect of this program. I will explain why I say 'almost' later on.  First, the good things about this program. 
  This is a very affordable program compared to other big names in the market. At least I know I paid only a fraction of what some other programs would have charged me if I went with other big names. Plus, there is a free intro portion of the program you can try and you will have a better idea of the learning process.
  The program is extremely flexible schedule wise. You could be working 40 or even 60 hours a week with your full time job and still are able to fully utilize all study material from the platform, watch all the recording webinars and finish all the tasks and projects. Because you work on your own pace, although there are deadlines for projects and the whole course is consisted of many 2 weeks sprints, there is a project for each sprint, every 3 to 5 sprints will be an integrated project.
  The organization and structure of the Practicum is great. You will have a community manager who oversee all your non-academic concerns including schedules, pacing, complains or even when you need a break. The manager is always available and will try the best to accommodate your needs. Then there are tutors who answer questions for tasks in the learning platform and for questions about project. There is an instructor (highly qualified Data Scientist) who not only answer academic questions but also teaching in webinars. There is reviewers to look at your projects and you might have to resubmit them based on their review. There are student experience specialist and marketing specialist who will reach out to students to learn your needs. 
  Given the length of the program( 8months), it covers a lot of ground in its curriculum. The interactive platform where you learn the curriculum is similar to Leetcode style, the platform is good enough to teach you the new concepts and you will apply them to the following tasks. When the whole program is finished, I will have a great overview of data science and know how to apply each part of DS in a real life problem. I actually spent 5-6 months to research different programs online by looking into their reviews and curriculum, I ended up with Practicum because of the strong curriculum and number of projects to be done.
  There are many many more good things about Practicum, but I feel like the 4 points above are most significant to me.
    Now, I will talk about why I used 'almost' at the beginning.    1. There are small bugs in the learning platform here and there, you will find yourself spending extra time to fix your 'already correct answer' just to pass the auto grading system. My suggestion is before they fix those small issues, try to ask as soon as you realize you spend too much time on one problem, because most of the practice questions are relatively easy to medium level.    2. Sometimes, the tutors and instructor might not be on the same page of your learning progress, they might not answer questions the way you can understand or they often refer to some technique you are not familiar with, sometimes they might not be on the same page of your project reviewer. So as a student, you have to judge which way to go with and learn from different people and always ready to teach yourself from online resources( you will be given a lot of references). Tutors and instructor are great people and more than qualified for their job, it was just some communication issues( different time zone for example) that keeps them from serving students better.Overall, I will rate my experience excellent with Practicum and honestly it did exceed my expectation. I tried the Web Development free course as well and found it easier than the Data Science one, I understand why some review said they like Web Development more than the Data Science part from Practicum. If you want to become a Data Scientist, you need to be ready to spend excessive amount of time learning from whichever bootcamp/self learning with online resources or both, the more you put in the more you can get. To me, Practicum is good enough as a bootcamp, if I could not find a job after graduation, I will only blame on myself.    

 I am currently a student at Suleyman Demirel University and here I have learned the basics of programming and a little about web development. The curiosity of learning and exploring new fields of computer science gave me a push to further expand my skills. However, it would be fair to say that I had an understanding of AI from my secondary school years. To be honest, I would say that I was searching for any courses about data science, but the advertisement for this course was all over there and I could not ignore it. It had been half a year since I have started learning on this platform and I have few things about it. 
First of all, I would say that the course content is straight-forward and gathered together, which creates a convenient environment. Secondly, the teaching process is mostly project-based, which means that this school prioritizes self-learning. Last, but not least important feature of this school is that the community is friendly: you can easily discuss your progress and have consultations; get feedback about your projects so that you could spot your issues on time; instructors are available and ready to communicate 24/7. 
Most favorite part of the course is that it emphasizes self-learning. I would say that this is the most important asset of accelerating on computer science fields nowadays. I definitely recommend this course to those who are seeking the best approach to get into data science. 

I loved my experience! They made learning feel easy. Any time I ran into a road block I contacted support and got help quickly, as they were really responsive. The structure of the curriculum was challenging in a good way. It helps you build skills to learn for yourself instead of just the simple read and review tutorial of other bootcamps. I loved practicum by yandex so much I am considering going back for one of there other boot camps in the future!

I'm a Marketing Data Analyst, and I found Yandex one of the best online programs for those, like myself,  who want to give the next step in the Data Science field. The program has great content, challenging exercises, and real-world projects. But those aren't what makes Yandex one of the best online programs I have attended so far. Yandex's major advantage is how its tutors, project reviewers, and community managers deal with students' questions. First, they are professionals with real-world experience in the field, and, second and most important, all explanations or articles recommended by them are straight to the point and accurate. That said, I recommend Practicum by Yandex for anyone who wants to get into the Data Science field or brush up her/his skills
