I love the lessons and how they incorporate projects with step by step lessons. This is a mixture of video lessons, written lessons and quizzes along with live sessions that you can attend via zoom meetings I like that you have a suggested timeline, but can go at your own pace. There is also a wonderful support site on slack where you can meet other students and instructors, ask questions, post your work for feedback, and network. Everything is high quality including the video lessons. This is not just a course of videos to snore through like you might find on Udemy and Lynda. It is interactive complete with projects and portfolio building projects. I have been taking this Break Into Tech Program for two weeks and so far everyone has been very helpful. Actually, I have found the support to be PHENOMENAL! There are also live chat features attached to individual lessons for quick answers to questions. I have not gotten far enough in the program to rate the job assistance. Will update later, but I gotta tell ya. I Love this course!!!!

I say ‘timely’ because I happened upon Skillcrush completely by chance, during a rough time in my career, and I almost wish I had found it sooner.
Despite my lingering self-doubt in my ability to learn coding and development skills, I was convinced that they were worthwhile skills to learn, and the pitch for the Break Into Tech Blueprint was too enticing to pass up. I’m happy to say that Skillcrush has helped start to quench that self-doubt, and that ~5 months after beginning my blueprint I can officially add “Front-end Development,” “WordPress Development,” and “Visual Design” to my skillset.
The lessons were easy to digest, and the right balance of videos, text, challenges, tutorials, resources, and quizzes – all of which helped with practicing and retaining the materials. I got the right support from my instructors when needed, where they not only helped me work thru any challenges with my code, but highlighted how to approach the same problems in the future. I also appreciated how my instructors and classmates provided design feedback in a way that challenged my choices and perspectives, but without feeling rigged, prescriptive, or overbearing.
Right now, my next step is using the skills I’ve learned from Phase 1 and 3 to begin freelancing and searching for other fulfilling jobs as I work thru Phase 3. But I feel more optimistic about my future now than I was earlier this year, and more confident that I’ll find what I’m looking for, so I have the Skillcrush team and community to fully thank for that.
(Also -- for anyone who is unsure about taking the course, try the free Bootcamp course first like I did; it’s a glimpse of what the lessons actually look and feel like, and it was what ultimately convinced me to enroll into the full blueprint).

I started the Skillcrush Break into Tech Blueprint three weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with the experience so far.
The content is delivered brilliantly - cut down into bite-sized chunks and daily lessons, with clear explanations, repetition and tasks to consolidate learning. I feel like I've learned so much in just a few weeks and I'm very excited to discover what's next!
I would highly recommend this course to anyone who likes to work methodically and to chunk tasks down into manageable pieces.
There is also signposting to a wealth of really useful resources, and so much support along the way from an online student community to live career counselling sessions. I feel like help is always at hand if I need it, and I've been especially impressed at how quickly I've received a response after submitting my feedback tasks.

I've taken many different classes and have learned from many different sources:
Codecademy
Udacity Nanodegrees [ Full-stack Nanodegree ]
Grow with Google Scholarship program [ hosted by Udacity]
Free Code Camp
Thinkful
The Odin Project
etc.
Each of these were valuable in there own ways but Skillcrush is great all around. Its website is minimal, its videos and readings succinct, its challenges are light-hearted but informative, its community is supportive, and the emphasis on job readiness is astounding! Me and my girlfriend are both taking Skillcrush courses and we love them.
There's one more factor you must consider. Skillcrush is feminine, and it works for that reason. For reference, I am a man and one that's not very intouch with my feminine side but for skillcrush IT JUST WORKS. Listen, when you're dedicating hours of work a day everyday for months to sitting down at home infront of your computer the least comforting thing is a man awkwardly making jokes and starring intensly into the camera speaking monotone. Adda and her team are very spirited and lively, it's the right amount of excitement, and the right amount of feminism. Not the over-the-top brand that tends to contradict itself. Skillcrush proves women should not only be welcomed in tech but are quintessential!

I joined Break Into Tech Blueprint about a month ago, and I can't believe how much I have learned in this short time.
I've taken many online classes, but Skillcrush really has a unique learning environment like no other I've seen. There is variety between short videos, text, hands-on exercises, and quizzes, as well as larger projects.
I've also really enjoyed the support from the Slack community - the students are really supportive and the instructors are always there to answer any questions. I have had my first career counseling appointment, and was able to talk to someone further down the road from me who answered my questions and helped me know what is possible.
Most coding schools are 10x the cost of Skillcrush. I can't believe the value that I am getting.

I'm enrolled in the Break into Tech Blueprint course and I can honestly say that this is the best decision that I've made for personal growth in a long time!
It is refeshing to be part of a thriving on-line chat community, as well as on-going lessons that assist me in challenging myself in skills that were both dormant and not so dormant, like "problem solving".
I'm very new to technology but with the way that courses are taught, including the support by instructors, as well as the fact that the courses are self-paced, I find my self-confidence getting better and better. :-D

This course is a nice pace both for people new to coding as well as those with very limited experience. It gives ample explanation of concepts, and even gives multiple explanations for harder concepts. I especially liked that there were transcripts available for all the videos. I felt like it was a safe place to ask even the most basic questions, and everyone was very helpful & welcoming. I do have to say that the fact that it is mostly women here is making learning much more comfortable and confidence building, and it is SO NICE not to be talked down to!
I'm excited about this new opportunity to have a job I enjoy AND can make a living doing. It's a relief to know that career change IS possible with some work & perseverance, and I'm very happy to have stumbled upon Skillcrush at this point in my life.

The Skillcrush course is a great course to get into tech and especially what I really find great is the practical approach. There are lots of exercises, but not just to code for fun, it is always related to your personal project. For instance, you start developing a design for your portfolio website and later you learn how to program it. You will also have real clients you are doing projects for. So you can actually earn some money already. The Break into Tech Blueprint (i got a subscription with lifetime access) you can actually start with basic courses and later learn any other coding language.
What is also great with the course is the support! You have a great community where you can ask and answer questions and there is also always a teacher responding. But there are also personal chatting sessions with a teacher or other class mates.

Enrolling in Skillcrush after taking the 10 day boot camp is the best thing that I've done in a long time. The courses are self-paced, and as the courses progress, I'm learning a lot more about myself.
The instructors are extremely compassionate about what they do and are always eager to offer a helping hand if needed.
I haven't progressed far enough along to begin the job assistance portion but feel confident that this training will result in a favorable outcome. I am so glad that I'm part of the Skillcrush community and hope that someday I can give back what is so freely given to me.

All credit to the course founder for putting this together. I am a 40 year old with two young kids so NOT a fast learner. I hate reading instructions because they require concentration and I get overwhelmed. To say that I was apprehensive before taking on the course would be an understatement. I am still at foundation stage, so still a long way to go, but I’ll try to relay how it works for those considering the course.
Break into Tech is broken into learning blocks, which in turn are broken into short learning sessions so you can decide on the pace yourself. If you are capable you can cover a couple of blocks at one time, if not so much, maybe just a couple of learning sessions. Those blocks also offer practical exercises to apply freshly learned skills. Mind you, by the time I got to building my website, I forgot it all and had to go back several times, which again was very easy to do. Still stuck I had to get in touch with instructors. They reply quickly and are very patient. I met two of them via Zoom and they are great, very helpful and not at all pretentious.
You will have to buy some software but everything is very transparent and you will be told in advance as to how much you are likely to spend.
All credit to Adda. I can tell she has put in a great amount of effort and thought into this and this course is quite an achievement.

I have looked at and tried a few different online coding courses but non were as involved with their students as Skillcrush as well as giving you course activities that helped you practice a bit more what you learning at the same time too as for me practicing it helps alot compared to just taking notes or listening to a video .. i would definately recommend it to anyone wanting to give it a try too. Also get amazing help and feedback from the instructors too which helps alot as well

Stumbling across Skillcrush had to have been the best possible thing to happen to me in my life. I took a whole course in front-end web development and didn't feel as confident coding as I do with only taking part of Skillcrush for a week!! I absolutely love the videos and resources provided in each lesson and I can't wait to learn much more. Thank you for such a great path to bring more women into tech.

I am so impressed with my experience with Skillcrush so far! The classes are so well-organized and straightforward, not to mention, FUN! I truly have had so much fun learning all of these new things and I look forward to logging in every time! The instructors have been so encouraging, too. I really appreciate their helpfulness, specifically the fact that they don't straight-up give you the answer every time, but they challenge you and guide you to figure it out for yourself - this is where the learning really happens, at least for me! Thank you Skillcrush!

I've been through many, many, many educational platforms. From a traditional college setting (majoring in Computer Science), to Woz U... ugh, SkillCrush is by far the most complete and easy to understand course I've ever taken, ever. Did I mention I've been doing this since 1999??? I find myself continuously trying to further my education and advancing technologies. SkillCrush is the ONLY program I would recommend to anyone. And it's affordable! And fun! Honestly, I just can't say enough.

This course has exceeded my expectations. I had created a couple of wordpress sites on my own, but the end result didn't look very professional. So I looked into free information and took some inexpensive courses. I learned some, but when I got stuck, I was stuck. SkillCrush is awesome because the design of the courses is very well thought out to get you from ground zero to web developer easily. Not only are the courses very high quality, but there are instructors that give you feedback very quickly, the students can also give each other feedback, and there are video conferences for specific feedback and more general discussion. These video conferences give you the chance to meet and interact with the instructors and the other students. No other courses I have taken come close to the quality of SkillCrush. I highly recommend you sign up, now! Go do it!

I'm really enjoying the way this program is structured, the way the information is provided, and the support I receive from skillcrush and other learners.
I'm in my mid-50s and have been in Tech related jobs since the 80s. However, skills such as HTML/CSS, JavaScript, were skills I never learned on the job. So, I'm taking a temporary retirement to learn these skills. Skillcrush courses are very achievable, and when I struggle, I have a great support network in the Slack group for my course.

I am interested in changing careers to become a front-end developer and I was looking into different tech boot camps that would help me level-up my skills. However, most were out of my price range AND required me to quit my job. Then I discovered Skillcrush. Even though it is self-paced, there is accountability, sound guidance, and a great sense of camaraderie.

I've been freelancing as a web developer and designer for the past two years trying to make do with free and cheap courses. I'd learned a lot, but unfortunately most of the coding classes I was taking tended to follow a "if you want it to look like this, then do this" type of logic that ended up in me having to memorize lists upon lists of properties and not understanding the relationship between them.
Then along came Skillcrush. I enrolled in their 10-day bootcamp and already I was better understanding the principles behind HTML and CSS than in my two years previous. I saved up and jumped into their Break Into Tech Blueprint, and it's been a great experience. The TAs are really invested and the other students are incredibly supportive and encouraging. I'm so grateful to be in this program.

I am new to the tech industry so I was nervous starting with Skillcrush, but it really has been so welcoming. There is always someone willing to help from instructors to fellow students. The culture here is fun, energetic, and genuinely caring. I would suggest Skillcrush to anyone. I love it so far!

I was totally hesitant about signing up for Skillcrush. I really couldn't imagine what it had to offer that isn't on all the other free sites. Having signed up, I can tell you that there's a huge difference. Skillcrush has a very systematic approach towards not just teaching coding but teaching it in a way that leads to acquiring job-relevant skills. I had read that there is too much hand-holding with the Skillcrush curriculum that would slow personal growth but I find that there is just enough hand-holding mixed with some challenging exercises to ensure you flex those coding muscles and to grow. Skillcrush also has a really awesome and supportive community, I don't ever feel alone and know that as tasks get harder and harder, I will find the support that I need. If I have only one regret, it's that I didn't sign up sooner :(. I don't know about job assistance as yet as I have not reached that phase of things but if everything continues as it is now, I expect to be very satisfied then too so I have rated it 5 in advance haha.
