I stumbled upon Skillcrush by accident and decided to complete their coding camp as I'd always been curious about coding. It was so well informed and a lot of fun I decided to take the chance and enroll in their Break into Tech. I've already completed the visual design modules and now am starting with HTML. Everything is spelled out so incredibly well that anyone can do the course and everyone will succeed. So much support and incredibly helpful feedback.

Web developer student continuing my programming education through Skillcrush after graduating with AA degree. I only completed beginning and intermediate html/css courses at my community college. After much research and trials, I chose Skillcrush because I believed it to be the best learning format for me, I felt they offered a solid curriculum that would be tailored to my educational goals and needs, and I really found their stance on diversity and support for women in tech very attractive.

I found Skillcrush online on a whim! I am so HAPPY that I did. Skill Crush has given me confidence to tackle a whole new career in Tech!!. The whole Skillcrush community is amazing. The TA's are always there to assist with guidance and tips. The Curriculum is fun and engaging. I highly recommend this course, if you want to get your feet wet into Tech!!

I was motivated to give coding/web development a go whilst I was on furlough in my HR role through the COVID lockdown in May 2020, after researching the roles and seeing the growing demand in jobs along with the salaries and benefits included. I first started out by watching and practicing to code from YouTube videos and continued by enrolling in a free coding camp and bought a £20 Udemy course. These helped teach me some of the basics, however, they weren't in depth or motivating enough for me to feel confident about starting a career in the field. (Be aware that I had no prior experience in I.T or coding from school/college.)
I had heard about Skillcrush whilst researching online courses and attended a live Q&A with the owner Adda who was great- passionate and very informative. I decide to finally take the plunge when they had a deal with React and advanced CSS included with the break into tech course. They also gave a $300 discount for those who attended the Q&A. For me at the time it was quite a lot of money and so I hoped it would be what I was looking for to help me to get a job in development. Simply put - this is THE BEST purchase I have ever made without a doubt. The course is completely beginner friendly, yet goes into enough depth to challenge you and teach you the real skills needed for a career in web development. Unlike the other courses I mentioned above that I had tried, Skillcrush's tutors are always there to help and answer any questions fairly quickly and makes the experience more personal and friendly, you also get lifetime access to the course and discounts off of other add on courses such as python (which I intend to do). Thanks to Skillcrush I successfully landed my current job role as a web developer in September 2020 (which was the first interview that I actually went for). I am so thankful that I made the career change into the tech industry with the help of Skillcrush and I wouldn't recommend anyone else. You 100% get what you pay for with online coding courses and Skillcrush's 'break into tech course' is worth every penny. If you're serious about starting a career in development, I highly recommend taking the leap and getting this course as I wouldn't be where I am now without them and feel proud to have up-skilled and absolutely love my career in web development and working in the tech industry.10 STARS!Thank you Skillcrush.

To be honest I am really really shocked that there are so many good reviews about Skillcrush in here. I have bought the Break into tech course, and have been learning coding since 2020 February. The HTML and CSS parts of that course were quiet okay. But JavaScript, PHP, Git, jQuery - those are a joke! I am very very disappointed. The information that they provide is not enough at all. I feel like I have wasted 1500$ for a childish course and after it I was not able to find a job. The projects in JavaScript part are terrible. LOL CAT CLOCK? Really? Magic 8 Ball? How is anyone gonna hire me with such projects? And how am I going to create my own projects if the curriculum of JavaScript is so short? I am very very disappointed. After Skillcrush Break into tech course I felt like the information I received on the course is very very very very far from what the employers are looking for. The programming part really didn't teach anything. I needed to support my learning my learning with other resources. So I looked for some free or cheaper options (as I have wasted my learning budget on Skillcrush), I found some others much much better quality courses on Udemy and paid for them £18 each. And those cheap courses explained in depth how the JavaScript engine works, gave lots and lots of examples of ES6, guided through interesting, real-life projects, such as bank app. Even some videos on youtube teach you more then this 1500$ 'worth' course. Honestly, I feel like I have been fooled. Would never buy any other course from Skillcrush. Very overpriced. Wouldn't pay more than 150$ for such a childish incomplete course.

I have been extremely impressed with Skillcrush. I have learned so much in the approximately 3 weeks I have been a study in the Break Into Tech Bluprint. The program is very reasonably priced for all of the teaching, resources, and instructor support you get. The mentor sessions are what really drew me to this program. I had been learning to code online for a little while but really wanted some face-to-face (virtually of course) contact with a mentor to help guide me in the right direction in the tech world to switch careers. Overall A+ program.

If you are a man and you want to learn coding I promise you there are other places you could go that are much better than this joke of a coding school. They claim they are a coding school with a heart but that is all a bunch of {redacted}. They banned me for life for a misunderstanding without even trying to understand my culture or me as a person, They branded me and then banned me. Even after I apologized. The crazed feminist culture in that company is stifling. If you do decide to join skillcrush and you are a man keep your head completely down and know that if you make the female overlords unhappy they will destroy you under the false pretense of doing it "for the best" The courses were ok but if you ask me not worth the money at all you could certainly get the same information online on Udemy or Udacity or other great sites like Treehouse or Pluralsight. Yes, you get feedback from teachers via email or via slack but that again is a dangerous thing if you are a man, This company is terrible and with directors like {name redacted} and {name redacted} you would do better finding a much better- more positive company. The company lies, they are not a coding school with a heart, they are just a coding school with a heart for women only.

I went into this course closing my eyes and falling through. They seemed genuine and honest in their first marketing pitch I saw back in the end of 2017, and beginning of 2018. I remember there was quite a bit promised; if there was one thing that the marketing did, it promised a slew of tech pathway courses that would help you become a "full stack developer," but I think the Break Into Tech Blueprint Course that was offered is geared a lot more towards front-end development. I didn't quite understand the terms very well when I first started, but have since decided on a particular pathway now that I'm near completion.
My experience with this online schooling program has been very positive. In hindsight, you really get a whole lot for less than $2000 grand; I went to 6 year private art university and haven't felt nearly as prepared to find work as this course. That said, my learning was a supplement for my current degree, in which I want to evolve it into another career pathway. Without what I learned in my previous school, everything would have been much more time consuming.
What I can say is that online schooling is very different from a hands-on classroom -- there are instructors ready to help you with any questions you may have, but sometimes, its hard to just learn on your own. Some people thrive, this way, and some others do not. If you have trouble through the silent moments when you have no one to talk to, any online schooling program is not for you. Despite not having a real time instructor, this forced me on many occasions to problem-solve solutions for myself; which is actually a valuable skill to have in any job application, and probably a big part of being in any kind of tech development job. To sum this up, it's incredibly frustrating to feel alone while you're learning this way (and you're not always alone, there's a slack community of students, alums, and teachers), but actually, the reward is well-worth the madness sometimes.
For my time spent on this course, I learned a great deal about HTML/CSS core principles, basic Javascript to get me through the door, and a better graphic/visual design arsenal geared towards web design/development. Well, worth the time and money I put in.
Highly recommended.

This is my first time taking an online course of any kind and the thought was pretty daunting. However, all the videos, resources and immediate feedback from questions has been incredible so far. It's been fairly easy to learn with the bite sized chunks they give you. And what's great is if you take a break and come back, it's very easy to give yourself a quick refresher since the videos are only about 5mins long. While I'm still in the first phase, I think this course is incredibly worth it. The only downside is the extra software you will have to purchase in order to complete the assignments. But, I think it's better than doing a course at a university in my opinion. Looking forward to learning more about coding and overall web development along with an eventual specialized interest in in UX design.

I've been trying to teach myself coding, but it's a lot harder than I was expecting. I considered attending a bootcamp, but just couldn't afford $15,000 for it. Skillcrush has been amazing with support, feedback, an online community, and the content is great! I love the video explanations, reading for a refresher, then you do some exercises leading up to your project. I've only been enrolled for about a week or so and I really feel like this has been a great investment for myself already! I can't wait to see what else is in store for me!

I've been studying Break Into Tech course for about a month. What a thrill! The lessons are very well structured and explained. As a student who previously tried some other tech teaching platforms online I can say that Skillcrush team explains things and makes you understand concepts much better - there was few subjects that just I couldn’t understand completely and just moved on without understanding them. The instructors are very helpful and very dedicated to help students to solve their problems or explain things!
Now Skillcrush has made everything clear and I’m already feeling much more confident about my basic skills than before. And I cannot wait each day to study more and get to learn new things to become full time developer.
Keep it up, dear Skillcrush team! You make studying so exciting and showing how tech life could actually look like. Thank you! :) J.

I have a degree in Web Development, but it is really old & I've been "out of the game" so to speak for a very long time. Last year my love for web development & coding was reignited, so I set out to start learning on my own with help from a free online code camp. I ended up getting overwhelmed & frustrated & ended up giving up on it. The timing wasn't exactly good in my personal life to be doing that, but nonetheless I ended up throwing in the towel. Fast forward to a few months ago, I started searching schools & options again & came across Skillcrush & a few other options. After some time & consideration I ended up taking the leap with Skillcrush. I couldn't be happier with my choice! Even though I have a degree I felt that the BIT blueprint was the best option for me to not only learn everything I want to, but also get the help I need for career counseling. There is an incredible support system with Skillcrush & the curriculum is very easy to follow & understand. If you have a hard time understanding things, there's great staff & fellow students to help you on your way. My only regret about this whole thing is not finding Skillcrush sooner & taking the BIT blueprint course sooner!! I highly recommend them no matter what you're seeking out. They have a great method of teaching, curriculum, staff & attitude too! There are certainly trying times but knowing there is a great support system in place really helps you to keep moving forward. Also not only are they very affordable for working adults, but it's so flexible it allows you to keep doing what you need to do in life without a complete interruption to go back to school. I'm close to finishing Phase 1 in my BIT course, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. I highly recommend them if you are thinking about it!

I got the break into tech package and it has been nothing short of great so far! It has a great pace, good community that is quick to help. I recommend it to anyone that has a interest in tech.

I went back and forth for a few years trying to figure out if coding was for me or not. When I found Skillcrush, I immediately fell in love with everything... the ease of use, the explanations, the materials... it was like everything clicked and I knew this was the place that would help me change my career. As of this review, I'm about halfway through Phase 1 if the Break Into Tech Blueprint and I don't have enough good things to say about it - it's absolutely fantastic! The pace is GREAT. There are multiple ways to learn through videos, written examples, quizzes, projects, hands-on learning. IF you are on the fence about signing up, get off! It's time to sign up and change your career and life for the better!

I`ve been trying lots of similar IT courses, programming programms or IT academys in the last 6 years, some of them good enough, but what distinguish Skillcrush among them is: the constant preoccupation for the student progress, well organized learning platform, step by step learning process which is very important because it`s easy to finish classes by your own, lots of necessary resources, updated IT technologies - you don`t waste your time in searching and learning what is new in the field, good teachers and at last but not least in my short review, Lifetime acces. It`s worth every penny...

I am enrolled in the BIT Blueprint. Didn't know what to expect to be honest because I do not have a tech background. I am having the best time!!! The lessons are broken down phenomenally and when I get stuck, they have my back and are super with prompt responses. I would recommend them in a heartbeat and you may not be able to tell but I'm stoked to be a Skillcrusher!

Skillcrush blueprints are the perfect way for me to pick up new tech skills.
I was enrolled in a online university working toward an associates degree with an emphasis on IT. After taking several courses, I had basically only learned how to write papers and powerpoints on the subject matter, but had gotten ZERO experience or practice DOING anything.
Skillcrush throws you right into coding from the very beginning. I learned more skills and had greater understanding (and confidence!) in the first two weeks than I did after taking three 5-week long college courses. Also, the entire Break Into Tech blueprint was about the same cost as one college course.
I also appreciate that Skillcrush is 100% self-paced. There are guidelines on how long it should take you to do certain courses, but there are no hard deadlines or due dates. If life happens, you can take a day off with no remorse or suffering grades.
Skillcrush requires you to have self-disipline and good time-management skills to be successful.
If you are ready to work hard and want to jump straight into immediately learning new skills, there is no better option than Skillcrush!

I spent a long time agonising over how to get into coding and web development, after deciding I needed to retrain and take control over my career. I am not at the end of the course yet, but have already gained so much. The approach is really helpful, and the conversations and support I have had from the Skillcrush team has reassured me in many ways: That I can build a broad base and then specialise (so I don't waste my investment on something I later realise isn't quite what I wanted); that there is a community out there that is collaborative, supportive and responsive; and that I am part of a great movement to carve out space for diversity in tech!
The flexibility of the course (go at your own pace, all resources are available forever, Slack community for head-scratching moments and the option of more direct support) really works alongside a busy lifestyle. The way the course is structured also forces you to apply what you've learned and use your new skills. I'm confident this is the right starting point for a career reboot. Thank you Skillcrush!

Skillcrush makes learning fun and easy to understand. I love the layout of the whole site, from the design (everything has to be visually pleasing to me) to th actual courses. I feel like this is a great school/course/bootcamp for complete newbies such as myself. I also really enjoy that it is female-oriented, and that the majority of the instructors and students are women. There is definitely a need for that in such a male dominated industry.
Student 2019
The first thing you will notice when doing the courses here at skillcrush is that the videos are actually entertaining, fun and engaging. This blew me away and it sets them apart from the rest. It makes the videos easy to watch and while it keeps you engaged, you learn more easily. Adda has an awesome way of relating the material. They are not lectures at all, they are more about the discovery of a new universe of html, css, design, etc and with all the fun that discovery can bring. So while I enjoy watching the videos, the concepts and techniques are presented in very logical straightforward ways that make them easy to understand.
The homework is guided and you really get a chance to solidify what you've learned without getting too lost. I really appreciate this.
The slack community is also great, with people from all walks of life who want to help each other learn and grow.
All in all, the instructors' level of caring and empathy is well above any other course or prebootcamp I've been a part of. And that makes all the difference in the world.
