Nextleap is hand down the best place to start if someone wants to get into PM. The length of the course (4 months) is long enough that the student can learn comfortably, while not dragging out too long like other courses tend to do. Their mentors are well exp PMs itself and they bring valuable insights into the learning. The learning portal has recorded lectures, job portal, quizzes, SQL training, reading material, mock interviewers which is everything a beginner needs to learn about PM. Their placement support is also solid and gives enough opportunities to its top fellows. What truly makes Nextleap stand out is their ongoing support after the course is finished. If I had to give one small piece of improvement to the team, it would be a 1 on 1 review call for every candidate who attempted the graduation project but has not made it to the Top fellows. While parameters like Clarity and depth of though give a high level idea on where their submission might have lacked, its doesn't really give the whole picture on where to improve. A 1 on 1 call, or even a personalized written review for an attempt given by the mentors on why their submission couldn't make it and where to improve, would really help candidates learn and iterate much faster.

They want to see every cohort succeed in their learning and you can see the labor of love that goes into teaching us, providing quality content both in the sessions and via the course site. This really sets them apart from other bootcamps, especially those provided online.

I don’t have any negative things to said and I’m pretty hard to satisfy so they are definitely doing the right things. I still have access to their platform since I purchased a lifetime membership years ago. I’ve finished the Data Science career pathway and now I’m running out of courses to take within DQ. I do wish they invest more in AI courses, e.g., large language models, deep learning, AI agent development, etc. Hopefully, someone will see this post and start creating more advanced course in AI. Last November I subbed for a guy at a theater who was leaving to take a coding bootcamp. I was like, wait, a what camp? You mean I can learn how to do this coding thing for real?
Last week I launched my app, built from the ground up in Java and Spring, with the things I learned from Coding Nomads. Feels great!
Coding Nomads has been great. I liked it so much that I started their Javascript course recently. Here's what the founder said about my capstone project: "Your capstone is among the best we've ever seen here at CodingNomads and we've worked with hundreds of students. So, job well done!"
My intention is not to leave pro audio, but I do see software development as my next career act. Ideally, I'd like to keep building Tracebook and SubAligner, while doing freelance development work for manufacturers, AV companies, and the live event industry.

I left the program feeling confident in my coding skills and having already accepted an offer with a starting salary nearly 60% higher than my previous job. I think NSS’s real competitive edge is 1) their wide network of employers who regularly hire from their programs and 2) the fact that they are a nonprofit. They really want you to succeed and get a great job, and they will do everything in their power to help you do it. Also, they want to do it as cheaply as possible, which is not the case with any other bootcamps I’ve seen. Great instructional teams, great career training, and great networking opportunities.
