I’ve started a course with the Zindua school for data science, Excel, SQL, and python. For over 2 weeks I have requested support for the outdated course materials. I sent 3 messages. Two via their website and one via email giving them all of my contact information and screenshots and details of the issue I am having. I thought I would never hear back. Finally received a response via email after 2 weeks and was told to download an app and then contact the respondent there so I did. I sent all required data there as well. And no support yet. I also noticed that their coursework on their website is not their own material. It doesn’t matter if it’s free, it’s a waste of time. It is quite sad to hear the bad experience and support received by the reviewer. I'd like to believe that this is a mistake on our side and an experience we would not want experienced by any other student whether they are part of our Free Courses or our advanced core programs. We have contacted the reviewer and offered them free personalised support on their Data Science journey to make up for all inconveniences experienced.
On the content, Zindua School leverages open-source content to service its some of its coding courses. We attribute these courses to the creators and we peg projects to get students to practice skilled learned. We review content annually so it is expected that when some tools are deprecated before our scheduled reviews, some students might experience issues. For our core/paid programs, course reviews and updates are done monthly. Students also get personalised technical mentorship where technical mentors can give better guidance and feedback beyond the content.
The only thing to note is that our team receives way more requests than it can handle for free courses (All core/paid students have personal technical mentors). This means that it some times takes long if a student wants personal support. This is no excuse for poor support but a clarification that we are a growing startup and we are gradually improving the available support to our growing bootcamp demand. What we are doing today is running open workshops for Free Course Students on Tuesdays where select technical mentors go through course content to offer additional value beyond the Free course content.
Once again, apologies for the poor experience, and I hope our offer for personalised support on a course of your choosing can ease your heart from this poor experience. -
