From the moment that I begin my journey last August to working towards attaining my certification I was excited. It is not an easy decision to learn a new skill or pursue a different line of education. It is easy to know that after the hard work that you have done you can be the professional and an influence to others. I am so glad that I found this program and made the sacrifice to work hard to learn a new skill.
The hard skills that I have in data analytics were fined tuned as I moved through the Academy assignments. I have admit that I hit many roadblocks in studying but the mentor resources that are available gave me the support and confidence I needed to reassure me that I could do it. I am so appreciative of the work that the instructors, my peers and the mentors provided and I hope to be an influence and shoulder to lean on for any future student of Data Science that may need it.

The program is designed to teach you how to think like a programmer and how to learn. There's a LOT of content and although it is impossible to master it all in the 33 week duration, what you gain is a solid introduction to full stack development and the skills to keep learning after graduating.

A bootcamp can't teach you everything (you CAN'T know everything- even senior level developers don't!) but I will say that this program teaches you how TO BE a software developer. It's not about memorizing syntax or skimming through the lessons as fast as you can. The assignments and final projects are challenging and you have to utilize all the resources you can to be successful. The workshops are awesome, the instructors are top-notch and the mentors make such a difference in your learning.

After completing the program, it's just the beginning of your coding journey! There are plenty of success stories of graduates being hired in the industry (myself included). I continue to learn more everyday thanks to Woz U.

I found Woz U or Entity Academy through an ad on social media that caught my eye with its mission to create and develop a space for women in a male-dominated field. The mentors and teachers are great and really take the time to make sure that you understand the material and curriculum. I am currently in the Data Science program and I have learned so much and I can't wait to start using all the information that I have learned from this program.  Read less

I entered into this program with no prior programming experience so that is probably a big reason why I struggled the first couple of months.  My mentor, instructor, and ambassador wouldn’t let me quit even though I tried and they pushed me through the program.  The program took longer than expected because I repeated a couple of the harder courses but just a few weeks after presenting my final project I’m working as a Jr Developer.

Data science is considered a new field  and its rate of change is exponential.  Woz U was established for this reason: to create an educational organaztion that can swiftly adapt and subdue the need for innovation to reliably provide outstanding members of the technology workforce. I graduated the Data Science program and have seen the emphasis on constant improvement and adherence to the most cutting edge knowledge and skills required for these fields, which traditional school structures cannot keep up with at the demand the workforce needs. The Woz U staff  had the uttmost level of personablilty, cartering to each individual and their unqiue situation. The instructors and mentors made it clear that there were there to put as much energy needed to help you succeed in achieving mastery of the cirriculum and they definitely came through on that. I am in the job seeking phase and the career advisors are very thorugh and dedicated, being optimistic yet realisitc, willing to persevere until the students caereer goals are reached! Having the opportunity to learn a new concept as Data Scientist was of the best decisions ever! I started at WozU brand new to the concept, amazing methods, really advanced and first on knowledge for new and better solutions to our daily live in this era of ML and AI. I upskill my technical skills by learning from gathering of data, wrangling the data, analyzing its components and create visualizations for better models. It also teached me how to create different comparisons for almost any possible scenario that you can encounter to solve at work. The course makes you capable of performing multiple tasks inside an organization, which I found really helpful creating a better macro picture of any analysis or situation that I want to investigate and solve. The platform helped me stay up to date with what is ocurring inside the industry, and being a graduate and now Coder for Life student; it really puts you on the edge of this amazing campus. Teachers and Staff are of the best, you can rely on instructors for all types of questions and with dedication and perseverance the course comes to an awesome conclusion. Definitely recommend if you are looking to upskill any type of skills involving data analysis, web development or cyber security. This course is Great!! When  I started I cold barley turn on a computer. Now I can render a beautiful webpage! It takes extremley hard work and dedication, you will feel like you are going crazy at times, but when you finally get it, the happy dance is on. The course is cramed full of information tought at a fast pace.

Please avoid this company at all cost! Within the first week I realized this school was nothing but bs. They steal curriculum from other free coding websites and sell it to you with absolutely no help learning the material at all. I asked multiple times to be removed school and the only response  I got was scare tactics and manipulation. I was told by many people there that the second I signed my name I was committed to the loan in FULL. So regardless if i quit the  first day or complete the course I would owe 100% of the loan. Which is not true! Later after finding my contract online re-reading my contract I could have but their financial person I spoke with dodged the question and even outright ignored phone calls and emails from me. After being scare and manipulate to just finish the course with the hopes I could get a decent job afterwards I finally graduated in 2018 and was told to contact the lady that help with finding jobs.  Which basically ended up me sending about 5 email  to her with NO response at all and after talking a supervisor I was told just to look on indeed. So here we are in the end off 2019 still no job a loan company harassing me for payment on a  $12,220.34 loan I have no way of ever paying.

I love attending, and being apart of the Woz U class!! It has helped strengthen my skills, taught me a lot of coding, and developed my problem solving skills. The community is very helpful and kind. I have realized that sometimes I feel like there is a bit of disconnect between mentors and students, maybe it is just me. I sometimes feel as though I do not receive the help I need from my mentor and will instead have to reach out to fellow classmates. I am learning a lot and still succeeding despite all of this.
