I joined Turing College when I decided to switch careers. I was on a quest to find the right education that could help me learn the skills I needed for my new path. Sadly, many bootcamps I looked into made tempting promises like, "Learn fast, and you're guaranteed a job," but I knew from experience that these often didn't deliver.
I was looking for a school that could teach me advanced SQL, advanced spreadsheet skills, and various data analysis tools. Additionally, I needed help with job interviews to secure a meaningful job.
That's when I found Turing College, and I'm really happy with my choice. My journey there wasn't easy; I faced many challenges. However, my determination kept me going. Despite the obstacles, I finished the program, and now I'm thriving in my role as a successful data analyst, thanks to the quality education I received at Turing College. Read less

I am a student of the first batch of the Web Development path. Even though at the time of choosing this course I couldn't rely on other people's opinions, I've decided to try it since the opinions about the other paths were great. The main advantage of Turing College, in my opinion, is the emphasis on peer-to-peer support. At the same time the team is always reachable and ready to help. There's really a lot of material (and additional research topics), and it really depends on the learner how they will organize their work and study flow (time management is also one of the skills I got to develop during the course). The Open Sessions and Stand Ups are really there for you if you need a hand, and generally the atmosphere is great and supportive. For now, I can't say anything about the endorsement process, as the first one will start in a couple of months from now. Overall, I would recommend this course if you are willing to dedicate some effort to both on your hard and soft skills. Read less

I'm currently studying DA at Turing College, it's been 7 months and I'm loving the experience. The curriculum is great for the job market, especially since the projects are similar to real-life cases so right now I definitely feel more confident about applying for DA roles. Not only the curriculum but the community is also great. While doing the projects we have a lot of chances to get great feedback about our work also whenever need help there's an open session where we can easily ask our questions. I like how everything is online but we're never alone during the learning process. Also, the TC stuff is always there whenever we have issues it's great to get an answer 7/24! I'm already very excited about the future opportunities after graduation and of course, it's great to get help with the application process. Honestly, I would recommend Turing College to those who are interested in a career in Data. Read less

I really enjoy my experience at Turing College. The material is well-selected for self-paced learning. Additionally, weekly stand-ups, daily open sessions, and the community channel help me keep up with the pace. I had a negative experience with them. I applied for a job and they requested a certificate or letter to confirm my enrollment at Turing College. I reached out to Turing College staff on August 23rd, and they assured me they could provide the letter, requesting some information. However, despite my daily follow-ups since that day, all I received were responses telling me to wait for more information. Unfortunately, this led to me losing the position I had applied for. There is so much support both from Turing College Staff and peers. I've been enrolled into a different course and there was only competition between participants and no cooperation. While at Turing College everyone is eager to help, I literally feel they want me to succeed.
All the material is organized by sprints with recommended deadlines. And I can extend the deadlines in case I've stucked. At the end of every sprint I have to complete a project that is tailored to real-world problems. And each project is reviewed by an industry professional and a peer on a live session. I receive a lot of feedback and I understand all the strengths and weaknesses of my approach. And one thing I love the most is that I conduct a peer review as well! We share our thoughts and ideas about the sprint, we see different solutions for the same task and review the problem from a different angle.
I used to be a teacher and I believed peer-to-peer learning model is the most efficient. Now I'm a student within such a model and I experience it's efficiency with joy. Read less

I had a fairly good understanding of what a Data Analyst job entails, but I lacked official/practical experience in the field. Additionally, I was lacking some technical knowledge, such as SQL and Python programming, as well as how to build statistical models. My initial plan was to gather the required technical knowledge through free online courses and then find a job on my own. However, I ultimately chose to enroll in Turing College.

Why did I choose Turing College?

What drew me to Turing College was the cheerful and positive education team and staff members. They had numerous Senior Team Leads (STL) from companies I aspired to work for. One particular aspect that intrigued me was their effective method cementing newly acquired knowledge through hands-on practical graded projects. These projects are presented to a senior student and an STL (industry professional who typically works as a data scientist or data analyst in well-known companies).

And that's not all. To progress in the course, you need to earn points by reviewing and correcting other students' projects. This approach encourages interactions among students, fosters new friendships, and helps you realize that the same graded task can be accomplished in various ways. I completed the main Data Analyst course in five months and am currently working through some optional modules.

Up to this point, my experience has been nothing but positive. I greatly appreciate the weekly standup video calls where we engage with an STL and fellow students from our group.
Also there are plenty of experienced JTLs (junior team leads) who have regular open-sessions which students can join if they feel they need some additional help. Turing College has also provided me with additional assistance on preparing my LinkedIn and GitHub profiles. Thanks to Turing College, I've already established a few connections in companies I aspire to work for, as I've had one-on-one interactions while they evaluated my Turing College data projects. When interacting with Turing College staff, I genuinely feel their desire to assist me in achieving my learning and employment goals.

I have now completed ~80% of the Data Analytics course and I am extremely satisfied not only with the content, but also with the learning and social environment of TC.
The projects at the end of each sprint are real challenges, not just quizzes. This method encourages you to finalize a real product, rather than just answering questions.
The peer-correction system (i.e. when you finish a sprint, you can act as a peer reviewer for somebody else who is going to submit the project for that sprint) is also great to revise and stabilize knowledge acquired in the previously completed sections of the programme.
Interactions between fellow students are actively encouraged, and naturally lead to create a network of interaction and friendships that I would have not imagined to be possible from an online-only experience. Read less

I recently completed the Data Science course at Turing College, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The program deserves every bit of its five-star rating, thanks to its amazing mentors, solid curriculum, and excellent job assistance.

First and foremost, the mentors at Turing College are simply outstanding. Their expertise and passion for data science shone through in every session. They were always available to answer questions, provide guidance, and offer valuable insights. Their dedication to ensuring our success made the learning process enjoyable and engaging. The curriculum at Turing College was well-designed and comprehensive. While not perfect, it covered a wide range of topics necessary for a strong foundation in data science. We started with learning the basics of Python, which served as a solid programming language for our data science journey. Numpy, a powerful numerical computing library, and Pandas, a data manipulation tool, were covered in great depth, providing us with the necessary skills to handle complex datasets efficiently.

One aspect of the course that stood out was the deep dive into scikit-learn. This widely used machine learning library was thoroughly explored, allowing us to master various algorithms and techniques for classification, regression, and clustering. The practical exercises and hands-on projects provided ample opportunities to apply what we learned, solidifying our understanding and boosting our confidence.

Additionally, Turing College offered an optional module on deep learning. This module provided an in-depth exploration of neural networks and their applications, giving us a glimpse into the exciting world of deep learning. It was a fantastic opportunity to broaden our skill set and stay ahead in this rapidly evolving field.

One of the standout features of the course was the exceptional job assistance provided by Turing College. They went above and beyond to ensure that students had access to job opportunities and networking events. From resume building workshops to interview preparation sessions, they equipped us with the necessary tools to navigate the job market successfully. The career support team was attentive, responsive, and genuinely invested in helping us secure rewarding positions in the data science industry.

In conclusion, my experience at Turing College's Data Science course was truly transformative. The amazing mentors, solid curriculum (despite some minor imperfections), and excellent job assistance made it an unforgettable journey.

I have always wanted someone to believe in me. And not only Turing college has provided the experts, they have also provided a community of co-learners and even experts who show their belief in me. The team of Monica, Fet, Thomas, Alga, Gidrius and many many more ... fabulous people. 

It is probably impossible to take admission and not become a valuable expert in your field. The feeling is like that of being in a family that helps you learn, guide you and provides feedback. 

This goes much beyond the course material (which is already very very good). Meanwhile, I am also doing another course side-by-side which also involves Data Science. And Turing is many times better than them, there is no comparison really. For example, I remember in other school they said, getting accuracy scores above 85 percent is impossible etc. At Turing, you become an expert. An expert to the extend that you can easily tell what is possible and how it is possible. I guided the Data Scientist teaching the other school for how it is possible with good feature engineering and made him understand that if one knows the model underneath, one can customize hyper-parameters according to dataset. I have not yet graduated, but I was able to guide a working data Scientist and could understand that Turning College has laid down a great foundational understanding which lacks across the fast-paced and growing DS industry. Turing College gives a one-of-a-kind hands-on experience. I enjoyed Turing College What I love the most about my experience was having access to people better skilled than I was for questions and mentoring. I loved the fact that it is a community of learners, so you do not easily get discouraged as most likely happens when studying alone. I also loved the soft skills work shops. It brought in so much light to my personality, and I saw room for improvement in various areas. I loved that they also gave tools for self improvement. My interaction with the staff was always nice, and they were super friendly. The Con would be if you like traditional-style of learning, like in universities, you may not like Turing College. Also, you have to learn everything, so you can't be mistakenly lazy. Read less

I highly recommend the Data Science course for anyone wishing to land a job in the data field. I started the course having only some knowledge of statistics and being completely fresh at programming but it all went fine and I work as a data analyst now. What I liked the most is that the curriculum contains all the necessary information needed to get a first job in the data world. The material is up to date, all in one place, and relevant for practical tasks. Those practical tasks, by the way,  are rated by true industry professionals during corrections, so you also have an opportunity both to practice presentation skills and to learn from the best in the industry.
