The most enjoyable bootcamp so far!
There is so much support both from Turing College Staff and peers. I've been enrolled into a different course and there was only competition between participants and no cooperation. While at Turing College everyone is eager to help, I literally feel they want me to succeed.
All the material is organized by sprints with recommended deadlines. And I can extend the deadlines in case I've stucked. I receive a lot of feedback and I understand all the strengths and weaknesses of my approach. And one thing I love the most is that I conduct a peer review as well! We share our thoughts and ideas about the sprint, we see different solutions for the same task and review the problem from a different angle.

I had a fairly good understanding of what a Data Analyst job entails, but I lacked official/practical experience in the field. Additionally, I was lacking some technical knowledge, such as SQL and Python programming, as well as how to build statistical models. My initial plan was to gather the required technical knowledge through free online courses and then find a job on my own. However, I ultimately chose to enroll in Turing College.
Why did I choose Turing College?<...I had a fairly good understanding of what a Data Analyst job entails, but I lacked official/practical experience in the field. Additionally, I was lacking some technical knowledge, such as SQL and Python programming, as well as how to build statistical models. My initial plan was to gather the required technical knowledge through free online courses and then find a job on my own. However, I ultimately chose to enroll in Turing College.
Why did I choose Turing College?
What drew me to Turing College was the cheerful and positive education team and staff members. They had numerous Senior Team Leads (STL) from companies I aspired to work for. One particular aspect that intrigued me was their effective method cementing newly acquired knowledge through hands-on practical graded projects. These projects are presented to a senior student and an STL (industry professional who typically works as a data scientist or data analyst in well-known companies).
And that's not all. To progress in the course, you need to earn points by reviewing and correcting other students' projects. This approach encourages interactions among students, fosters new friendships, and helps you realize that the same graded task can be accomplished in various ways. I completed the main Data Analyst course in five months and am currently working through some optional modules.
Up to this point, my experience has been nothing but positive. I greatly appreciate the weekly standup video calls where we engage with an STL and fellow students from our group.
Also there are plenty of experienced JTLs (junior team leads) who have regular open-sessions which students can join if they feel they need some additional help. Turing College has also provided me with additional assistance on preparing my LinkedIn and GitHub profiles. Thanks to Turing College, I've already established a few connections in companies I aspire to work for, as I've had one-on-one interactions while they evaluated my Turing College data projects. When interacting with Turing College staff, I genuinely feel their desire to assist me in achieving my learning and employment goals.

Extremely satisfied and looking forward to the continuation
I have now completed ~80% of the Data Analytics course and I am extremely satisfied not only with the content, but also with the learning and social environment of TC.
The projects at the end of each sprint are real challenges, not just quizzes. This method encourages you to finalize a real product, rather than just answering questions.

The curriculum at Turing College was well-designed and comprehensive. While not perfect, it covered a wide range of topics necessary for a strong foundation in data science. We started with learning the basics of Python, which served as a solid programming language for our data science journey. Numpy, a powerful numerical computing library, and Pandas, a data manipulation tool, were covered in great depth, providing us with the necessary skills to handle complex datasets efficiently.
One aspect of the course that stood out was the deep dive into scikit-learn. From resume building workshops to interview preparation sessions, they equipped us with the necessary tools to navigate the job market successfully. It is probably impossible to take admission and not become a valuable expert in your field. The feeling is like that of being in a family that helps you learn, guide you and provides feedback.I have always wanted someone to believe in me. This goes much beyond the course material (which is already very very good). Meanwhile, I am also doing another course side-by-side which also involves Data Science. And Turing is many times better than them, there is no comparison really. For example, I remember in other school they said, getting accuracy scores above 85 percent is impossible etc. At Turing, you become an expert. An expert to the extend that you can easily tell what is possible and how it is possible. I guided the Data Scientist teaching the other school for how it is possible with good feature engineering and made him understand that if one knows the model underneath, one can customize hyper-parameters according to dataset.
