Texas Tech University, Office of Continuing & Professional Educationoffers non-credit online bootcamps in Cloud Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics and Visualization, and Software Engineering. Online students can choose from full or part time programs and will complete real-world IT projects, collaborate with their peers, and develop a portfolio highlighting their career readiness.
In the12-20 week Cloud Engineering Bootcamp, students learn the fundamentals of networking and cloud computing. Students will receive hands-on training in AWS (Amazon Web Services) functionalities. Students will prepare for the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner IT certification.
The 10-18 week Cybersecurity Bootcamp program covers cybersecurity essentials, system and network security, Linux essentials, security operations and architecture, and cybersecurity analyst essentials; training students for entry-level roles that include SOC Analyst, and Cybersecurity Specialist. Students will prepare for CompTIA A+ Security certification.
The 10-18 week Data Analytics and Visualization Bootcamp will offer new insights and perspectives within the field, training in industry-aligned skills, and technical expertise; preparing students for roles such as Power BI Analyst and Data Analyst. Students will prepare for the Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certification.
The 12-20 week Software Engineering Bootcamp students will benefit from coursework focused on foundational software engineering skills and concepts, including covering system and software development computer science foundations through project portfolios, code samples, and technical interviews. focuses on both the foundational and advanced software engineering skills that students need for the field. Students will be prepared for IT roles such as Front-End Developer, Back-End Developer, and Junior Software Engineer.
The 12-week IT Technician Bootcamp is designed to help students master the skills necessary to obtain an entry-level IT support or specialist role. Students who complete the program will emerge prepared to enter the IT support field in an entry-level helpdesk, technician or specialist role and prepared to take the CompTIA A+ certification exam.
Career services are included in all Texas Tech University bootcamps, and students have access to IT mentors while enrolled in coursework. Throughout the program and upon completion, students can have access to resume guidance, LinkedIn profile review, job search assistance, and mock interviews.

Waste of Time
Please do not waste your precious money and time on this program, it's not worth it at all! I was in it and finished and got nothing out of it. The only thing you get once completed is a certificate of completion that honestly doesn't even look...Please do not waste your precious money and time on this program, it's not worth it at all! I was in it and finished and got nothing out of it. The only thing you get once completed is a certificate of completion that honestly doesn't even look professional. And that's if you also finish paying them, to this day I still haven't received the certificate and when I emailed them about it they told me it's because I still have a balance due. Of course, I knew that I'm doing payments on it because I couldn't afford to pay everything upfront. But the funny thing is that they compared the certificate to an actual degree like they're equivalent, which they're not. They care more about the money than they do about you. It's a scam they take advantage of people who aren't tech-savvy because you get nothing out of it that helps in the work field. The program is a complete mess majority of your time will be spent watching monotone videos, and labs BUT when I was in my cohort they had a real problem giving us access to the labs on time and once they did we were onto the next topic. It is fast pace program so try to keep up or just fall into another cohort but in the end, it won't matter because the whole reason most of us join this boot camp is the hopes of landing a job after. And the job assistance is not helping because you need real certifications and experience to land a position. To get the right certifications you have to pay for the exams which Quickstart said they'll offer vouchers for it however, I've never received any and when asked about them they completely ignored the question. I won't say anything bad about the instructor he did the best job he could trying to reach us, it's just QuickStart which is just another money-hungry program taking from the helpless who just want to better themselves and start a career. There are far better recourses out there than QuickStart, I'm currently in another boot camp but it's from a non-profit organization so it's FREE, yes completely free you just have to get accepted. It's called Per Scholas it's a little more faced paced but they actually care about their learners and the instructors really teach you what the work field is looking for. Now that's a program to join if your goal is to start a tech career but don't know where to start. I wish I knew about Per Scholas before QuickStart I would've saved thousands of dollars.
