I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to become a Product Manager or who has been out of the interview game for some time. I’ve been in product management for many years but haven't interviewed in a while. Even though I was already working as a PM, I struggled in interviews because the competition had become savvier. I needed an efficient way to get through the multi-faceted process, not more education on product management fundamentals. I decided to enroll in Product Gym because they provided the strategy, structure, and motivators necessary to complete this strenuous process in minimum time. 
What truly makes PG special is the staff - the instructors, counselors, and even the founders are invested in your success and go above and beyond to address your needs. One of my weaknesses is salary negotiations. I've received personalized advice on this topic from Rich and Cody (the founders) multiple times. They explained the thought process behind each element of the initial offer and provided sample responses that resulted in improved offers at the top of the company’s range for the role. The PG crew is different from others because they don’t give up on you and get you across the finish line with a PM job offer. Often times the best PM’s are those who haven’t traditionally been one their entire careers - whether it’s sales, finance, consulting, design etc that you started your first jobs in - it gives you an advantage not disadvantage. to all the doubters of candidates who don’t have direct PM job experience - PG has the proof that if you really believe in you and your ability to get and do the job, you can do it.

Before committing to Product Gym, I researched countless of programs, from coding and data science bootcamps to Product School in the effort to make a career switch. Product Gym was the only program that 1) allowed me to continue my full-time job,  2) prepared me for real-world product management experiences, and 3) most importantly, was solely focused on converting applications into job offers. They work with you from the very start (resume, cover letter, LinkedIn) all the way through the interview process (coaching calls, product courses) and the job offers (1-1 negotiation session). The program is filled with tips that you would never find through Google, and thus the material provided is extremely valuable. Initially, I was a bit skeptical after joining PG as the program is very aggressive (almost militaristic) in what you need to do to succeed (e.g. very specific resume and LinkedIn format). However, after just 1 month, I had converted more job applications to interviews than I had ever expected. So, if you enroll, trust the process and be prepared to have no free time! Let's be honest - breaking into product management isn't easy. Product Gym provides a no-nonsense program that encompasses all facets needed to help you make the transition - from resume/cover letter help, thorough interview prep, and online classes taught by Product experts to train you how to speak the language of a PM. Joining Product Gym was the absolute best decision I made in my professional career. Biggest pros are really the community they have built, the classes/content, and the outstanding support from the PG coaches for anything Product related. The content is curated around a PM role and instructors are talking not just about concepts but real world examples and in that way PG is better than any stand alone course, or even college curriculum. The PG coaches provide really valuable mentorship and help to a great degree navigate job search. I do not come from a tech background and was a big skeptic when I first joined but with every session/class I developed newer perspectives to the Product Manager role, gained confidence and made use of the awesome community within the PG environment. Above all, they provide a realistic approach to Product job search that if diligently followed will ONLY lead to success, even in this economic climate. Rich, Cody and other instructors work so hard with you to teach you about the PM role and land a job. They are always upbeat and tell you the brutal truth.
 They don't just teach you different topics of a PM job in curriculum, they help you resume writing, interview prep, teach you to deal with each and every nuances. Industry leaders will give you advice and their advice is brutally honest, one of my favorite thing about PG. One of the biggest problem with job search "how to sell yourself", these guys will evaluate you and tell you to re frame your language and conversational. Help you ask better questions.

Classes are given by PM/Entrepreneurs who are actually working in the field on variety of topics including(UX, technical PM, product discovery, marketing, A/B testing, etc.) and you can always come back to look at lectures. It's grueling and hard work is required on your part, especially if you don't have a PM background or "MBA". But PG does help you transition into PM role even without it.

While expensive, the ISA program allowed me to go from laid off due to Covid to negotiating a 100% remote offer in a month. It's hard work, but paid off. Excellent prep for interviews.  Frank real talk and support about the offers and the state of the market.   Being able to attend both the zoom classes AND access previous sessions at anytime was really helpful in interviewing.   Read less

 This course is essential for landing a PM role in today’s environment, especially if you are attempting to make a career switch from a different field. Rich and Cody have the process down to a science and the PG team is committed to your success. The resume re-branding and application strategy gets you more interviews than you know what to do with and provides structure to the rigorous process of getting a job. You learn to frame your skillset and experiences in product management terms for the sole purpose of nailing interviews.  Classes given by industry PMs help you become fluent in modern software development and the various topics of product management (data science, UX design, marketing, etc). The cohort groups provide a supportive community, and it’s awesome that everybody collaborates with interview prep and case studies.  It’s a no-BS course that is definitely worth it if you put in the work and follow the process!  Read less

I joined Product Gym (PG) in February and received my first Product Manager offer in May. This was not possible without PG. Through its workshops, consultations, and community, I began to think and talk like a Product Manager - which is all it takes to become a Product Manager.
PG taught me not only about Product Management but specifically how to interview excellently. Being a Product Manager and interviewing well are two completely different skillsets, and PG teaches both really well.
The best thing about PG is that I built a network of friends and mentors who motivated me to grow during this difficult time when job search seems impossible due to COVID-19.
The only con is that it does require commitment and proactiveness to fully leverage all the resources and opportunities provided by the PG.  Read less

I'm a great PM and I also thought I was a great interviewer. After a few final rounds that didn't go my way Product Gym identified and solved my problem, quantity. During every interview process I had beforehand I knew all my eggs were in one basket, if I didn't land that job I was back to square one.

With PG consistently had a number of interview, this took off the pressure in having the preform each time (which I did once the pressure was off). They also gave me a step by step guide in how to land the offer, email templates, exactly how to answer specific questions, they know what make companies tick. 

I not only was able to land the offer but also learned a skillset that I'll be using many times in the future. I'm confident I'll always be able to land a new role when I'm ready for a switch.  Read less

I have always been good at making quick decisions. That being said, it took me only 4 days to decide to join the program and it took me around 5 weeks to land a dream offer. I am proud of myself for this wise investment decision. 

When I first attended the webinar given by Rich. I was half convinced by what he said but I didn't fully understand how this program would be different from googling by myself. However, my gut told me this was the way to go. Upon signup, I found the answer. First, the coaches are super helpful, patient, knowledgeable and supportive! A big shout-out to Oliver. He hosts coaching calls twice a week and simply answers any question you may have for interviews. Whenever I have difficulties in drafting an appealing story for behavioral questions, I go to him. 80% of the questions you get from PM interviews are behavioral questions. Getting those details of past experiences ironed out goes a long way. Second, all the classes are extremely informative and job oriented. It's a challenge to strike a balance between job support and education support for many programs like this. I think Product Gym does a good job! Every class allocates a significant amount of time to cover job hunt topics, which are our main pain points. Third, the community support you receive here is unparalleled. We have different channels to share the progress of application, interview or case study. All the members are so nice to help each other out and share useful resources. I make friends here who share the same passion and dedication to the product management career. I feel a sense of belonging every time I come to the class. Last but not least, all the staff work incredibly hard to support you. Thank you Tom, Cody, Rich, Raymond! You guys have been amazing!

Switching to PM job is hard, and Product Gym prepares you for the best! Coming from consulting, it was tricky understanding the interview structure and making sure you have your stories tied together. PG helped me to understand the fundamentals of the role and prepare myself. I would have not imagined myself getting an offer in 6 weeks. 
It is an exhausting process until you get your dream job, but they stick with you throughout the process. What makes it really work - is the system and the environment they have built around it. They really focus on you landing the job unlike other bootcamps. They helped me change my outlook towards the interview process.
