 PG is definitely a niche program and unlike any other programs you’d find out there. I received a job offer exactly a month after I started applying. Like other people’s testimonials, it’s not easy and requires TIME and DEDICATION (expect to spend at LEAST 2 hours a day applying to jobs and 2 hours a day interviewing). PG gives you enough materials and support to help you land a PM job. What I really value most about this program is the community; everyone is really helpful (special shoutout to YX cuz she’s my go to girl but everyone else is as great) and motivates you on your journey to become a PM.

Product Gym is a great program for anyone who is looking to get a Product Manager job whether you are already a PM and are looking for a better PM role or if you are just trying to break into PM.  It is specifically designed to prepare candidates for rigorous interviews (all rounds) and prepares you well for every type of interview question possible. The weekly PM classes from PMs in the industry helps get real life perspectives on a variety of topics such as Technical PM, system design, UI design, UX, Stakeholder management, metrics and dashboarding, conflict management, Road mapping, prioritization, strategy etc. that one can otherwise only learn from real life experience. (I wish these were 2 classes a week) There is no other program out there that is equivalent to this program and this is well worth the money you will spend on it. There are so many PG members who have multiple PM offers, and this is possible for anyone out there who is willing join this program and to put in the work. I highly recommend this program!!

 ·         The program is self-paced, and you get what you put in, literally. My experience has been good with the learning from supportive peers, talented coaches, and a great PG team! I got better at interviewing, it helped me get from 0-1 and 1-n. Process, philosophy and community when applied right will reap results and help you stay strong mentally throughout the transition journey. To top it off, PG team, especially Cody have been amazing to work with when faced with tough things like offer negotiation, selection, and conversion! Overall, it is an experience to go through if you are struggling to convert your interviews to offers or are even looking to get a bump or switch between different PM roles (from strategic to technical or frontend to backend, etc.) and in return you get lifetime membership and support from the PG team!

Product Gym membership is an amazing lifetime investment. I’m so greatly to stumble upon the program at the beginning of my job search, hoping to break into product management. From the free webinars and consultation call to making the decision to signing up the program, it was a no-brainer to pull the trigger because there is no program out there like Product Gym. By no means it’s an easy process; however, Product Gym has provided its members an incredible community to lean on and navigate through this journey together. The coaches are extremely knowledge and put together a solid series of PM related courses to prep you for success. It’s been less than three months since I joined the program, and I’ve generated offers and even still got many final rounds lined up in the next couple of weeks. I joined PG after spending months getting no interviews from my PM applications, and it has definitely exceeded my expectations. The learning content is invaluable- from helping frame our mindset for success, answering any possible questions you could have on the way, and amazing online classes taught by industry professionals.  The PG community though, is definitely the most valuable resource, I wouldn't have gotten this far without their support. 

I am based in Canada, so I had my reservations about their process working here. I chose to go with it because it was the only Product Management program that was talking about how to actually land a job. Product Gym is a great product. If I could answer an interview question “What is your favorite product?” by talking about product gym, I would. My pain points were translating my earlier career into PM responsibility not only helped me build consistency in my resume throughout 3 different industries (including nonprofit & city agencies), but it helped me see that consistency as the bigger picture for myself. I was feeling intimidated by the male-dominated industry, and where women interviewers sound as rough as Mad Men characters. I no longer fear these type A people. 💪🦾

Prior to PG, I worked with an individual career coach and spent $2K. I took a popular PM certification course and spent $5K. I still felt like I was too alone in this scary process of applying and not knowing what doesn’t sound right in my resume, how my pitch sounds. Now I know that these were luxury services, and PG is the essential survival course.

The branding process helped me build a strong resume that got me more than enough interviews. I capped my interviews at 20-22 per week (that was exhausting), and had to push anything beyond to the following or 2 weeks from the day of an interview request. 

The community/ cohort and coaching calls helped me define my pitch and eliminate details that I thought were proudly transparent, but made me sound like a victim of the circumstances, or too industry detailed that would lead me to lose the interviewer’s attention. For that, friends and family might not be enough (I didn’t have many PM close enough friends to ask for feedback), so practicing my pitch with the cohort was essential. 

Although I do have some experience working as a PM (less than 2 years), I took my time rebuilding my resume, cover letter and pitch based on the things I learned using the resources like the lectures that helped me recall all the things I did but didn’t see as important to include. 

Then, I enrolled in the application assistant program within PG, and that led me to discover many amazing companies I would overlook. Thanks to that, I was able to focus on preparing for the interviews while getting more interview requests each day. In one month, I’ve applied to close to 600 positions, 35 round 1’s, 17 round 2’s, 5 round 3’s and 1 offer so far. Plus, I still have 2-3 more weeks of interviews scheduled. 

For my next career chapter, I struggled finding the perfect combination of tech and what I am passionate about, and thanks for the volume of interviews for a wide range of industries, it helped me realize what I do not want to be doing, and in which industries, as well! 

PG definitely helped me feel stronger about my PM capabilities, and they continue to support me on every step of the process. I recommend this methodology.  Read less

Product Gym really shifts my mindset. Before PG and in the beginning of PG, I had lots of doubts to see if I really can break into PM career without any real PM experience. Product Gym is the real deal, there is no disputing it. If you are an aspiring or current Product Manager looking to advance your career, this is the program for you. The biggest differentiator is that Product Gym focuses on landing you the job, whereas other programs just give you courses on how to be a good PM. Product Gym walks you through each step of the job search journey, from optimizing your brand (resume, cover letter, linkedin profile) to negotiating the offer, covering each step in great detail. In addition to the support for your job hunt, Product Gym provides live classes (via Zoom, thanks covid) with product professionals ranging from UX design to product marketing, and experienced PMs from PG alumni that offer key insights into their respective domains and illustrate what is important in regards to PM responsibilities as well as what to expect in the interview process. I have over 15 years of experience in product management, but decided to join Product Gym because I have spent the last almost 10 years with the same company, and had not searched for a job in a long time. The team at Product Gym is incredible, starting with Cody, and continuing to the other team members, including Raymond, Oliver, and Roman. 
Following are some of the things that stand out about Product Gym from my experience:- They helped me make significant improvements to my resume and advised me on the content and format of my cover letter. The quality of my resume and cover letter played a large role in me getting as many interviews as I did.- The membership includes classes on various aspects of product management that not only provided refreshers of the materials, but as important, focused on likely interview questions related to the materials.- When I received an offer letter and needed to make a quick decision, Cody made himself available over the weekend to be a sounding board and to give his feedback on the pros and cons of the offer.- Membership is for a lifetime. This was a huge factor in my deciding to join the Product Gym because I know I can always go back and take refresher courses or, if I am ever in the job market again, to get their feedback on my resume changes and the interview process.
