PreSales Academy (PSA) is a 10-week, part-time online tech sales bootcamp that is broken up into three stages. Stage 1 (Ramp Up!) involves 3+ weeks of self-paced online learning. Stage 2 (Perform) consists of 4 weeks of live-sessions that happen three times a week from 4:00-5:30pm PST. Stage 3 (Land the Job!) involves 1+ weeks of live and online content. The mission of PreSales Academy is to make tech jobs accessible to people from all backgrounds for a more diverse and inclusive future.
No prior experience or college degree is required to apply for PreSales Academy.
PreSales Academy offers students career support, such as resume and interview support. Students will have access to Career Advisors that will aid in their journey during and after the program. PreSales Academy students will receive a certificate of completion.
Students can choose to pay upfront tuition or Income Share Agreement, but the ISA option is limited and based on need.

I found the program extremely helpful in moving my career forward from an SDR role to the SE role. Solutions Engineering is a hard industry to get into, but PSA skilled me up and made me a competitive applicant, and interviewer.
As I previously was an SDR, I will highlight the one thing other people in this role (or people who have previously worked in tech sales) should know. There will be times you feel like you are hearing things you already know, especially in the beginning. Initially I was annoyed, but I later realized this is an opportunity to learn my industry again from people with immense experience.
PSA does everything it says it will, it does not guarentee you a job, but if you follow their guidance, it is only a matter of time until you get one.

From the time I applied until the final decision, it took over 8 months. In between I was required to create all kinds of videos, take multiple tests, and write essays. Firstly, the application processes was very smooth as they made it very clear what they were looking for and also were very responsive throughout the entire process.
Secondly, the course structure and curriculum was extremely detailed and organized, the course does a really good job preparing you for a Pre Sales role and how to conduct effective demos.
Lastly, the team offers a lot of support when it comes to job applications, it is still your responsibility to stay diligent and continue to network and apply, however they try their best to connect you with employers and also offer extensive help with the interview process.
I was able to land a Pre Sales role and I don’t think I would have been able to land my dream job without the program!

The academy is well structured with mentors, coaches, and advisors to provide you as much support as possible. The first class is about imposter syndrome so everyone can be motivated and convinced that this is a role we are all fully capable of. The curriculum consists of instructor led lectures and online modules to learn key technical skills and salesforce.
