Nucamp
Nucamp is a coding bootcamp that offers part-time, online programs, including Back End, SQL, DevOps with Python (16 weeks); Front End Web & Mobile Development (17 weeks); and Full Stack Web & Mobile Development (22 weeks). Nucamp also offers a 4-week introduction bootcamp that covers the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Nucamp is on a mission to make quality education accessible and affordable to everyone. The online bootcamps include both self-paced and actively mentored study, and there are no more than 15 students per class with a dedicated instructor for each cohort.
Admission is open to all 18-years and older (some states require HS graduation or GED). To enroll in a bootcamp, complete Nucamp's online registration form.
Students of the longer bootcamps are prepared for entry-level, Junior web developer jobs. Nucamp offers career services and 1:1 career coaching to bootcamp students. Nucamp also offers exclusive access to a nationwide job board tailored to Nucamp graduates.

I've completed only one part of the 4-part Full-Stack web dev program: Bootstrap. I chose Nucamp because the price was right, the time commitment could be balanced with my work commitments, and it was conveniently located. During the Bootstrap program, we were introduced to many features of Bootstrap and got a little practice implementing them in structured assignments, then a project we could put as much time and practice into as we wished. I put more time and energy into the project...I've completed only one part of the 4-part Full-Stack web dev program: Bootstrap. I chose Nucamp because the price was right, the time commitment could be balanced with my work commitments, and it was conveniently located. During the Bootstrap program, we were introduced to many features of Bootstrap and got a little practice implementing them in structured assignments, then a project we could put as much time and practice into as we wished. I put more time and energy into the project than I typically did in the homework, as that's where I felt I was learning the most and practicing my own creativity. I am really pleased with the project I made so far and I think it will be valuable in my portfolio. I thought that the course was informative and beneficial to future application. I did, however, feel that some of the material/videos were slightly outdated. The instructor was kind and helpful, but I still am uneasy about my JavaScript knowledge. I really enjoyed being able to communicate with other classmates through the Slack Channel; they were a big help overcoming any obstacles when the instructor was not available. I chose Nucamp because of the price. For a total of about $2100 I could get the same education that other bootcamps are charging >$10,000 for. Full Stack Course
I chose Nucamp because it fits my schedule. I have 3 kids and responsibilities at home so the fact that all the material is online and is sent out scheduled makes you focused on what to do in that week. Every Saturday we meet with the instructor and go through all the topics and have workshop assignment that wraps up everything for that week. The tuition fee is also reasonable. Nucamp was the only viable option I found to have interactive class time without quitting my full time job. The HTML, CSS & JavaScript track was exactly what I needed to dip my toe in the water and see if I was truly interested in learning more about development without either a HUGE financial investment or sacrificing my current job. It was a fairly intense month but gave me enough incite to know I want to pursue the full stack curriculum.

They were bite-sized which helped me take in little bits of information at a time. They built upon each other in a way that was easy to follow. I did feel like some of the assignments were given without the full information needed to complete them but I think that was purposefully so that we would learn where to go to find the rest of the answers. The lectures gave enough of a foundation to complete each assignment generally but they would throw in a challenge question and that would require a bit of research. As someone who had zero knowledge of coding going into this class, I feel way more confident in my coding ablities!
