Microverse

This program is good. Most bootcamps has few teachers lecturing you and guiding projects. But this one is self-learning most of the time meaning u actually reach a higher state of mastery. While you can also study on your own without this program, the program brings the added advantage to have have taken the time to select the best web ressources for each stage ( sometimes currated internally by the Microverse team or students in the program). You can even take a twist to reading extra materials provided if you wish.
- You are not in a rush to finish because you maybe paid for a specific duration. It's free BEFORE you get a job, so your personal commitment gets you going (you learn better in such a circumstance).
- In my country (in africa), there's simply no good bootcamps. Microverse solves this issue coming from online
- No need to mention the power of working with people from all over the world (priceless)
- You cannot code about 31 projects (all reviewed) and solve hundreds of  coding challenges in multiple platforms and not be a decent programmer.
All students wont have same level when they finish, but you would be a decent job-ready programmer :) 
The student spirit /atmosphere is great ............ I wish more success to this TEAM

Personally had my share of troubles hahaha
- internet and electricity sometimes (issues of africa)
- temporal frustrations when you code not working, or working but not passing reviews (it's not an issue, just so you know it's in the process lol )

DOPE Program overall !

I graduated high school and decided to learn software development instead of going to college. At first, I learned on my own with freeCodeCamp, Udemy, Udacity, and YouTube videos.

I learned about Microverse and that they would help you become a software developer free of charge until you had a job. I also read that everything was done in pairs, and I was interested because I wanted to try working with another developer. I also saw they had code reviewers check your work. I applied and was accepted.

I was paired with Kevin, a developer from Kenya. I’m from Serbia and we only had a small time difference, so it worked out well. Pair programming had a lot of benefits. For example, Kevin had more programming experience than me, which was really helpful. He taught me more about algorithms and databases, and due to my experience in front-end web development, I was also able to teach him few things.

I was doing the Career Prep portion of the curriculum when I saw a local internship that tends to lead to a full-time job. I had already practiced some algorithms and interview questions with Microverse, and I was glad that some of those questions were on the interview. I passed and got the internship.

I would definitely recommend Microverse to anyone who is hungry to learn software development and willing to dedicate 6 months or so.

Pros overview- We can get experience in working with non-English native people from especially developing countries- We can get experience in collaborating in a remote pair-programming with non-English native people - We can get confident to some extent in base technical knowledge on the fields that we learn in the curriculum
Cons overview- Most of the male students don't have enough moral, manners, ethics- Management or support team don't work so hard, their response is much slower than they should do- Sometimes we need to take paid-courses by ourselves other than the materials provided in order to understand the concept 
Pros- I improved my English through the whole curriculum. This is because I always needed to communicate with people from different countries. Most of them are non-English native, so they have different pronounce or accents. At the beginning of the curriculum, I couldn't understand what they say in the meetings. As days are passing, I can understand it. And now I get 100% of what they say and what other non-native speakers say.
- I have confidence in the basic knowledge of the fields I learned in the curriculum. That includes HTML, CSS, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, and React & Redux. This is because we need to pass the capstone project for each language. And for passing them, we need to learn the whole basic concept and skills. It means that passing all the capstone projects was tough and challenging for us. That's why we can get confidence in the skills that fields.Also, we build a lot of projects in our own GitHub repository, so they prove what we learned and what we can do so far.They also make us feel confident in what we learned.
Cons- The support team always says the reason why they don't work enough. "Microverse doesn't have teachers. So don't ask us to work more, you should work by yourself". But actually, they don't work hard enough even though they ask us to work so hard. Even though they ask us to submit our project or to finish the curriculum within certain days, their response takes basically  2 or 3 days. Sometimes, it takes more than 3 working days even though they say "We are supposed to reply within 3 working days". In my opinion, if they want to ask us to submit the curriculum or react to a particular action within certain days, they also should react to students' action as possible as they could, at least within 1 working day.
- The materials that they provide are not enough for us to complete all the curriculum including the capstone project. Sometimes we need to learn more than the materials they provided to achieve the requirements of the projects that are required us to submit.And some of the materials are tough for beginners to understand easily and meaningless. I guess it can't be helped because they try to provide free materials. Actually, for me, I needed to take some paid online courses like Udemy to pass the curriculum.
- Most of the students are from developing countries and they haven't got enough education on morals or ethics. I guess that's why most male students have no enough morals, manners, or ethics. Recently Microvese finally decided to act on that problem, so in the future, it might be improved little by little.
