GW Boot Camps
GW Boot Camps offer 12-week, full-time or 24-week, part-time web development courses, 24-week, part-time data analytics, cybersecurity, and UX/UI courses, and an 18-week, part-time digital marketing course. The full stack curriculum includes HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, Express.js, Node.js, databases, MongoDB, MySQL, and Git.
The data curriculum includes programming in Excel, Python, R programming, JavaScript charting, HTML/CSS, API interactions, SQL, Tableau, fundamental statistics, machine learning, and more. Enjoy close collaboration with other professionals while receiving hands-on experience.
The cybersecurity curriculum offers hands-on training in networking, systems, web technologies, databases, and defensive and offensive cybersecurity.
The UX/UI program provides hands-on training in user-centric design research, design thinking, visual prototyping and wireframing, interface design, storyboarding, visual design theory, web prototyping with HTML5 and CSS, interaction design with JavaScript and jQuery, and more.
The digital marketing curriculum covers highly relevant skills, training students in marketing strategy fundamentals, optimizing campaigns and websites, digital advertising and automation strategy, and more. Students will get hands-on experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, and Wordpress.
The boot camp curricula are designed with the most in-demand market needs in mind. GW Boot Camps empower expert instructors and TAs to deliver a dynamic learning experience. Whether you choose to pursue web development, data analytics, cybersecurity, UX/UI, FinTech, digital marketing, or product management over the course of our program, you’ll be immersed in an intensive educational experience. Students not only learn the fundamentals but also apply their knowledge to solve real-world problems and build portfolios. GW Boot Camps are designed for individuals who are actively pursuing a career change, advancement, or are looking to gain a new skill set. Applicants do not need prior experience to enroll, but once admitted, all students will complete a pre-course tutorial.
Students will benefit from a wide range of career services to be positioned for success through graduation and beyond. Services include portfolio reviews, resume and social media profile support, high-impact career events, workshops, mock interviews, and 1:1 career coaching. Upon program completion, students will receive a non-credit professional certificate from GW’s College of Professional Studies and will have a portfolio of projects demonstrating a working knowledge of the concepts or a wide set of cybersecurity skills applicable to industry certifications.

The GW Cyber Security Bootcamp provided me with the practical tools I needed to succeed. I learned more during this bootcamp than I did throughout my entire degree at UoP.
My instructional team consisted of Gemini, Rashed, Christian, and Niya. All 4 of these individuals truly excelled beyond anyone’s expectations. They are a dream team made for success. Each of them went above and beyond to ensure that no-one-is-left-behind. They always stayed late to make sure the days lesson was fully understood. They always employed extra effort each day to ensure the class stayed focused and on track. They always provided meaningful feedback to ensure that you performed at your personal best.
In my mind, 5 stars is not enough for this team. The most amazing mark is that this is the first class for Rashed, Christian, and Niya. With little instructional experience, Rashed presented himself as a 20-year veteran. His knowledge of Cyber Security is always current and presented events to the class even before they hit the news mediums.
The knowledge I gained from this class has been tested and validated in both Penetration Testing and Digital Forensics. I’ve proven, beyond a reasonable doubt, that I can employ modern practices from the knowledge that I’ve gained from this course.

The quality of GW's UX/UI program more than exceeded my expectations! Having an instructor who is also successfully working in the field, plus a TA that had fairly recently completed her own similar bootcamp program, they maintained focus on the tools and foundational learnings currently necessary to thrive in the field. Class was always challenging but in a positive way. Students were encouraged to go outside of their comfort zones. Best Coding Bootcamp Instructor Out There!
I started the 6 month GW Analytics Bootcamp in September, 2019. This is a part-time bootcamp with two classes after work and one on Saturday. Many comparable bootcamps like Flatiron and Galvanize are only full-time so one of the immeadiate benefits of GW's is getting to keep your job.
Obvisously, after working 8 hour days though, it is crucial to have an instructor with a lot of energy that can keep you going. Not only is my instructor at GW extremely passionate about teaching us...

I beleive that the curriculum is second to none. While Galvanize and Flatiron will prepare you to be a Data Scientist, the GW bootcamp will prepare you to be a Data Scientist, Data Engineer, Software Engineer and SQL developer.
And, GW's program is nearly half of the cost.

My Story
My experience at George Washington’s (GW) Coding Boot Camp was both physically and mentally challenging. Despite not being an easy, I wouldn't trade my experience for the world, as I did not anticipate the skills acquired would be so rewarding. In-fact, towards the beginning of the course in March, I unexpectedly lost my mother. And tragically, a month later my aunt also passed, consequently contributing to financial hardships/ I struggled to manage the many educational and profe...My experience at George Washington’s (GW) Coding Boot Camp was both physically and mentally challenging. Despite not being an easy, I wouldn't trade my experience for the world, as I did not anticipate the skills acquired would be so rewarding. In-fact, towards the beginning of the course in March, I unexpectedly lost my mother. And tragically, a month later my aunt also passed, consequently contributing to financial hardships/ I struggled to manage the many educational and professional stressors, while simultaneously managing my personal pain from the loss and attempting to follow along with the course material. I wanted to quit! I even met with my Student Success Manager and expressed my desire to forfeit my tuition and end the course but our conversation convinced me to stay.
Soon after, I managed to change my perspective and decided to look at my situation from a more positive vantage point. It was challenging, but I had the support of the staff, instructor, and teaching assistants. They offered me a safe place to fail in the process of learning the rigorous course material. Although I did not easily retain certain concepts, the instructors encouraged me to "code like you code". These simple instructions helped me replace the self-imposed burden of perfection with a more positive outlook. Fail and learn but don't fail to learn, because failure yields the opportunity to learn something new.
GW’s Coding Boot Camp has changed my perspective of learning and has given me the platform to bring my ideas into reality. By exposing me to innovative dynamic technological concepts, my passion to create was renewed. I recommend this course for anyone looking for a career change or anyone willing to challenge themselves to learn industry-leading technologies, cutting-edge architectural concepts, general coding languages and best practices. Not worth it
I didn’t want to write this review at first but then I thought it was necessary because it can help other people and because this place is overrated by fake good reviews or reviews by people who used to work here.
When the class started our instructor left after the first week. Then we got a new one who didn’t seem to be knowledgeable at all and was a really bad teacher who was only “reading” the code without explaining how it was written and how to write it. ...

When the class started our instructor left after the first week. Then we got a new one who didn’t seem to be knowledgeable at all and was a really bad teacher who was only “reading” the code without explaining how it was written and how to write it. So the only help we would get was by Technical Assistants( who were really awesome guys).
Then in a month our instructor got fired. Then we got a new one once again who finally seemed to be an expert in the topic but unfortunately the course was almost over by that time already.
After the course ended we were supposed to get our certificates mailed to us but that never happened. We were never given them either. So in order to get mine I had to write constantly to Student Success Manager, Gemini S. who promised me to mail it herself and never did and blamed everything on GWU issues and kept lying to me about when it would be mailed or what’s happening with it( which is ridiculous and I can’t believe it myself still ). It’s been 4 months since graduation and me and other students still don’t have their certificates. After paying 11k$ for this course you expect the certificate to get delivered to you at least or be handed personally on the graduation day without having to chase it.
To sum everything up, I can say that I was very disappointed with GWU Coding Bootcamp overall because I thought that the name of this school at least means quality of education and work efficiency but that’s just a fancy name.
The course itself is very intense and 3 months is not enough to cover this giant amount of information especially with bad instructors. Be ready to study a lot on your own and get a huge amount of stress. Career services are somewhat helpful. Also don’t believe the person in charge of this course as things he told me to convince me to take it were not relevant to the reality ( the data about students after they graduate like their employment rates etc). Simply save your money and find same courses online.

Seeing the long, buzzword-filled responses to other reviews, it certainly appears that GW (Trilogy) cares far more about the outward appearance of this boot camp than the experience of current students.
As mentioned in other reviews, this is a "GW Bootcamp" only in the sense of the classroom location. The course is run through Trilogy, and simply put this is primarily a business, not a school. Recruiters will rush you through the signup process as soon as you apply, with sensationalized messages telling you how quickly capacity is filling up. The "admission exam" is a joke - 20, easily-found multiple-choice questions. As you may expect, this leads to a wide range of experience across the students. If you have no coding experience, unless you are highly motivated to learn I would not recommend this course. I feel that advertising this course as "no coding experience necessary" sets all parties up for failure. I will say the subject matter was generally interesting and relevant, and many topics are covered. I found the instructor(s) and TA's extremely intelligent and helpful - they are there because they love the technology and it shows. I unfortunately had to include "instructor(s)" as our primary instructor allegedly resigned - it's pretty apparent that the administration forced him out, but that is only my speculation. I completely disagree with this decision - my understanding is students thought he was moving too quickly and were frustrated. Again, I chalk this up to Trilogy falsely advertising the starting expectations and signing anyone who has $10K up for the course. Regardless, their decision was to terminate the relationship and add more confusion to the class. This confusion led to us spending 45 minutes learning R, while we had 5 weeks committed to learning web dash-boarding. I really did not want to write this review, but this seems to be the only way to get a response from Trilogy administration. If you are a prospective student or TA, I would look elsewhere before registering - you are far less important the moment your check clears.Boot Camp Team of GW Boot Camps

Like you noted, the GW College of Professional Studies has partnered with Trilogy Education Services (TES) to offer the GW Data Analytics Boot Camp. GW is deeply involved in the curriculum, instructor selection, and outcomes of each of our classes, and routinely meet in conjunction with TES to monitor the learning experience and performance. Both GW and TES are truly dedicated to transforming students' lives and aim to be fully transparent about this relationship throughout the admissions process and course.
We regret to hear that the program is not living up to your expectations. Our boot camp serves a mix of individuals ranging from beginners to professionals. For our data analytics course, we do recommend applicants hold a Bachelor’s Degree or have at least two years of experience in business, management, finance, statistics, or a related field. We understand that the course material is challenging and moves at a rapid pace, and before the first day of class, all students are provided 30 hours of pre-work to help them prepare. We do also recommend that those without any previous experience spend additional time completing free online tutorials. Upon starting, we begin by covering the basics, providing a solid foundation learners can build upon. Each lesson iteratively builds on the last and we find that as the curriculum progresses, individuals feel more and more confident in the material.
Due to unforeseen events, your cohort did undergo an instructional change and understand that this has greatly impacted your experience. In light of this unexpected situation, we secured an additional TA to increase the classroom assistance and are offering supplemental tutoring to ensure all students are properly being supported. We understand not all teaching styles will resonate with every individual and adjusting to new methodologies can be difficult. As such, we have provided access to our additional instructor's recordings, starting from week four, and are currently hosting three-hour remote sessions on Fridays for all learners to participate in. Our main priority is and will continue to be the student experience and we strive to be as responsive as we can.

You will not regret this boot camp. After looking into a few of the other options around DC its clear that GW is the best. The support you receive from this program is first class. You learn everything you need to advance your career or like me switch your career completely. You have to work hard but it pays off in the end.

I just graduated from the GW Data Analytics program, and I had the best experience ever! I learned so much in the program, gained valuable coding skills, and developed a great portfolio that I can showcase in applying for new jobs. So far it has been a very positive experience for me. I entered this program with no prior coding experience. The pace of the course is fast but it is very easy to measure your improvement and development. From day one until now, about a third of the course, I have made very measurable progress. The instructor, Mr. Ranjan Biswas, is very knowledgable and engaging. The teacher aids that attend class are very helpful and offer first hand knowledge as former students. There are times that I have wondered whether this was the right choice for me and if I will be able to succeed in the field, but this course is what you make it. Your input determines your output. Due to the fast nature of the class and wide scope of material you will have to put in many hours learning outside of class and doing homework. For people looking to make a career change and learn a new skill, I fully recommend this class.

Worth it!
The George Washington University Full-Stack Bootcamp challenged and prepared me to succeed in the ever-changing tech industry. The George Washington University Full-Stack Bootcamp challenged and prepared me to succeed in the ever-changing tech industry. We not only learned the most relevent and used technologies, but the skills to continue on and be lifelong learners. We were pushed hard with difficult challenges, which were rewarding when completed. The group projects allowed us to not only be creative and come up with our own ideas, but also let us practice working on teams in an Agile-like way. The instructional staff was supportive, our TAs would help us at any hour of the day and be there in class to answer questions and give suggestions. The class instructor was very knowledgable and helped guide the class towards finding the answer, rather than just outright telling us, giving us more opportunity to learn the content of the class. Career services routinely check in to help with any questions or advice we may need through our job search. Three months after graduating I am still having regular "check-in" calls with my career services advisor. I have already recommended this class to a handful of people, some of whom have already signed up for the next cohort. If you are in the DC area and are searching for the next step in your career, or even a complete career change, I could not recommend this enough.

GW Data Analytics and Visualization Bootcamp
I came into the part-time (M/W/S 6:30pm - 9:30pm) GW Data Analytics and Visualization bootcamp with no coding background, just art and physics. I have a master's degree in physics. I took this bootcamp to gain tools to help me transition into data science and even use tools for my science. I took this bootcamp to gain tools to help me transition into data science and even use tools for my science. I was a bit apprehensive at first that I would be able to keep up but the instructors (and two TA's) do a great job at providing academic support. I never missed a single homework assignment, and tried to go to class as much as possible. I tried to do all of them and I googled as much as possible if I got stuck. I even bought a book for one topic just to get a different perspective on the material. Group works are tough (you have to do three group projects). Sometimes you may not get along with the people, or work may not be coming in at the same weight for one reason or another. You learn valuable skills this way, like how to work together regardless of differences in culture, knowledge, etc. I made sure to allocate time for this course. I would not recommend the bootcamp if you are working full-time, especially at a place with long hours if you are new to programming because it will be overwhelming, and you will fall behind fast.
Pros of Bootcamp:
- You will be learning a lot of tools which will help you in all fields of work.
- Your teacher is not remote, you also have two TA's, and online recorded videos for additional help.
- There are a lot of homework assignments and three group projects.
- Bootcamp staff is supportive and willing to help at all times.
- Sometimes the instructors provide free food and desserts.
- Instructors and TA's are exceptionally gifted at what they do and know.
- Opportunity to work with them as a tutor while you transition to your job.
- Career support (resume help, interview help, virtual tech fairs).
- Class is in-person and you will meet friends.
- Location is across the street from a fancy new restaurant/hotel/coffee shop called Eaton.
- After hour acces to the building floor so you can work on projects/hw whenever you want!
- There is free one-on-one virtual tutoring available for students once a week.
- They allow occasional remote work for special circumstanes (family emergency etc.)
Cons of Bootcamp:
- Classes are also on Saturdays so that kills half of your Saturday.
- Part-time classes run late from 6:30pm - 9:30pm so you may need to rush dinner.
- The career help is a bit lacking, and there is no physical place to go to for job help.
- You must put in 30+ hours outside of class to devote to homework and projects.
- It costs $10,000 (you can do monthly payment plans).
Overall, I would say this is a fantastic option if you are new to coding, and want to learn many different tools in data science which allow you to visualize data, and if you learn better in a classroom setting with lots of interactivity and hands-on-learning.

Recent Grad (Buyer Beware)
Went through the full time full stack dev course. The instructor was good went fast at times. You'll need to spend 4+ hours daily after class to keep on pace. Tutoring they offer was lousy at best he flew through questions faster then the instructor. TA's we helpful but this is really a self learning environment with 'demos' GW's name carries weight on your resume in the Washington DC area. Our program is rigorous and fast-paced, and we cover a great deal of knowledge in a limited amount of time. We understand you found our instructional team to have quickly covered the course material. We do our best to communicate to students that because we cover a full-stack, topics are introduced at a higher level in-class, after which, students are expected to dive in and not only gain a deeper understanding of the concepts but also practice their skills outside of the classroom. Depending on an individual's experience, one should expect to spend a minimum of 20 hours or more per week outside of class in order to excel. This helps individuals learn how to self-teach, a key strength needed in a developer's role. We take participant feedback regarding our course, instructors, and tutoring most seriously, measuring success based on student feedback, video audits during teaching, and classroom assessments.
Our professional development services are built on the principle of empowerment, and we strive to be clear about expectations. While we do not secure direct employment for students, we work to empower them the best we can with the necessary tools and support for entering the job market through technical interview training, portfolio reviews, resume/social media profile support, and more. George Washington University -- GW Coding Boot Camp for Web Development
My experience, overall, with the GW Coding Boot Camp for Web Development program, was excellent. I would like to acknowledge the invaluable support of the Program Success Manager who helped us to "bridge the digital skills gap". The curriculum is spot on for today's web development requirements and has provided me with a wide array of new skill sets that I can apply in my next position. Nowadays it is very important to have a targeted set of skill sets that is marketable...My experience, overall, with the GW Coding Boot Camp for Web Development program, was excellent. Great coding school
GW coding bootcamp was my first choice and after I joined I found more than my original expectations. The program had excellent TAs and qualified instructors, makes my learning of coding easier and happier. I can fully recommend this bootcamp to anyone who cannot decide which program to join.
