Average Rating 4.56
369 Reviews 7 Courses

Devmountain is a coding bootcamp that offers short, full-time in-person and online programs in Web Development, Software Quality Assurance (QA), Cybersecurity, and User Experience (UX) Design. The programs are designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the tech industry. There is a Devmountain campus in Lehi, Utah for those who want to participate in-person. Devmountain's immersive courses require 40 hours of class per week, and 10-20 hours of work outside of the classroom. The part-time programs require 11 hours of class per week, and 10-20 hours of work outside of the classroom. The school was started in 2013 in Provo, Utah.

The Web Development track covers front-end and back-end engineering (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, AJAX, Axios, React, Bootstrap, Node.js, Express, and PostgreSQL). The User Experience course covers prototyping, visual/motion design, Figma, UX research, and  wireframing. Devmountain instructors are all coding industry professionals and aim to bring real-world applications into the classroom.

Devmountain is beginner-friendly and no experience is necessary to apply. The first step to applying for Devmountain bootcamp is to check out the courses and start dates. Once the student has picked a course, they must submit an online application. Next, students speak with a member of the admissions team by phone to further discuss the program. After the phone call, students must complete a challenge to ensure the program is a good fit. Finally, the admissions team will notify students if they qualify for acceptance.

Thanks for your feedback, JP. I’m sorry your overall experience was not what you expected. Here’s some additional information that may help you understand how our program works and why we run it this way, as well as updates we’ve made to increase support for students.

Specializations are designed to give students practice learning technical concepts with more independence and structured support, as you would in an apprenticeship at a technology company. If you get stuck on a technical concept while watching a video, it's not only possible but important to ask for help with that concept or issue. You can work with fellow classmates or Subject Matter Experts to obtain support.
Recently, we increased the amount of technical support within Specializations to include a Tech Lead which is available all day during class.
Our Specializations tracks are more than a subscription to Pluralsight. While there are videos that are accessible within Pluralsight as part of each specialization, there are also lab exercises, presented tutorial-style (created for Specializations by Devmountain curriculum authors), and capstone project guidance as part of the curriculum for Specializations. This part of the program is designed to help support all students at the pace that works best for them.
Videos that are part of the curriculum are managed and maintained to ensure that content is up-to-date, accurate, and relevant to the technology industry by current standards. Videos are not "over a decade old"- most have been created in the last 1-2 years. In rare cases, Pluralsight will retire a video that is to be replaced with a new version, and we're sorry that you encountered this oversight. That said, videos in Specializations are not all marked as retired. When Pluralsight retires a video, we include its replacement in our system.

We are always looking for ways to improve and appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.
