Cybersteps is a tech training provider offering a 14-month, online, full-time, comprehensive cybersecurity training program in Germany. Cybersteps was founded by military veterans with real cybersecurity experience, and their program incorporates advanced military training methodologies. The program covers topics like Python, Linux, Windows, networking, cloud engineering, digital forensics, and AI for cybersecurity. Students will also work towards industry certifications, including CompTIA Tech+ and CompTIA Security+.
Beginners and students of all experience levels are welcome to apply to Cybersteps. Expect to take a Technical Assessment in the application process that will test basic computer skills. Students interested in paying with a Bildungsgutschein should have a registered residence in Germany, speak English at a B1 level or higher, and be registered as a job seeker.
Cybersteps is designed for job changers and career support is included in the curriculum. Career services include interview prep, job search strategies, LinkedIn & CV workshops, and business communication. Students will also complete a 2 month internship to give them on-the-job experience. While Cybersteps courses are flexible and online, students will have weekly face-to-face meetings with other students, instructors, and mentors.

The instructors did a great job of explaining the material in a way that was easy to follow, and they often brought in their real-world experience, which made the lessons much more practical and relatable. One of the biggest highlights for me was working with Aviram. He was incredibly flexible and always made time to help when you needed it. He’s a great mentor—supportive, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to helping you succeed.
The challenges and projects we worked on throughout the course were definitely tough, but in a good way. They pushed me out of my comfort zone and gave me a chance to apply what we were learning in real-world scenarios. It was hard work, but also really fun and rewarding.
