CareerFoundry is an online bootcamp that offers flexibly paced programs for career changers in web development, UX design, UI design, product design, data analytics, digital marketing, and product management. Headquartered in Berlin but with a global student base, CareerFoundry has provided tech education since 2013.
CareerFoundry combines the flexibility of online learning with the guidance of mentors and tutors through their dual mentorship model, training students to become job-ready in four to 12 months, or their money back.
No previous experience is required to apply for the programs. Students should have access to a computer and an internet connection, and an interest in the topic they are planning to study. Students apply via the CareerFoundry website by connecting with an advisor who can talk through their options. Students will need to pay a deposit to secure their place, then complete the required pre-work before the program commences.

UX Design with Allison Yaeger and CareerFoundry
Great course and worth every penny! Allison was a fantastic tutor who was very informative and thorough in evaluation of my work and in catch ups. The syllabus was extensive and touched on all the key elements of User Research. Using what I learnt from the course I was able to turn an internship into a full time position, changing all the UX processes in the agency.

I did find it quite frustrating after the course when CareerFoundry (not Allison) offered to help and advise me with my job search and getting into a career. There was a brief exchange of emails before they stopped replying all together - I even mentioned this in my feedback to them soon after the course was over with no response.
Other than a total breakdown in communication at a time when I had many questions I would highly recommend the course to others. In fact, I am frequently messaged on Linkedin by potential students who I highly recommend the course to.

Mixed responses from tutors and mentors regard how much deviation from CF coursework required to understand coding. I would review "CF lessons"till I was blue in the face with no clarification for why they used stringify for chart rendering in meetup app project. I reviewed the coursework and its not comprehensive enough. If you were doing Recharts programing for Meetup app project why does your approach not work and yet you "pass" my code? “CareerFoundry: Great Course with Strong Support”
I’m currently taking CareerFoundry’s Data Analytics course, and it’s been a great experience so far. Decent.. but dated
So far the experience of the Data Analytics course has been pretty positive and I have learnt a lot on the course that I did not previously know, and I am someone that works within a data related field. Industry standard curriculum and course support
I am a CareerFoundry's Full-Stack Web Development course student since October 2024. I've had a great experience!
I'm about 1/4 of the way through my UX Design course, and I love it so far! My tutor and my mentor are very kind and encouraging, and always get back to me in the allotted time. The course itself is a good level challenge, with some creative projects and some more technical work. My advice is to stay positive and chip away at it at a nice pace. I have rather enjoyed much of the course. Even though I'm a full time employee at a hospital, married, and have a two year old I've been able to make it work due to their flexibility. Only thing I really found was a pain point was when we had to use large datasets that my computer couldn't handle it. It would bring my machine to a crawl after ever minor change. Following the program, I sought feedback from an experienced design professional, only to discover that my portfolio was considered below industry standards—even though it had been approved by CareerFoundry mentors.
I also participated in their 6-month job guarantee program, but unfortunately, I still did not secure any interviews. When I requested a refund, I was informed that I was ineligible due to a lack of “proper documentation” and because I had not met with my mentor every two weeks. This was challenging to accomplish, as my mentor had personal issues that led to canceled calls, and my full-time job made rescheduling difficult. I was also told that I needed to check in with my mentor biweekly, but he would regularly not respond to me, or get back to me days later so what was the point of checking in this often.
Reflecting on the program, I feel that CareerFoundry’s job guarantee and strict policies seem designed to attract students rather than prepare them for success and realities in the design field. About two-thirds of the way through, I started noticing a lack of detailed instruction on essential design topics like accessibility, spacing, color, and typography. While these topics were mentioned in assignments, they were often too vague to apply effectively. I gained far more insight through my own research and guidance from industry professionals than from the program itself, leaving me feeling misled.
When I requested a phone call to discuss the refund, I was told CareerFoundry didn’t have enough staff for a conversation—a surprising response from a company centered on UX, where user insights should be a priority.
At this point, I am genuinely disappointed with my experience in this program.To anyone considering CareerFoundry’s UX program, I would advise looking elsewhere.CareerFoundry of CareerFoundry

I find it easier to manage by taking it one day at a time and doing my best.Although I am only halfway through the bootcamp, I am optimistic that I will secure a job and start my new career soon after completing it. If anyone is contemplating whether to join the bootcamp, I would say you probably should.
