I joined Metana back in February 2023 to level up my Blockchain skills, I had some basic knowledge of Solidity + proficient in Javascript, but after putting in around 20 hours a week for 3-4 months(you may require discipline), I've gained a ton of skills. Plus, I've had the chance to meet some amazing people, like the Metana team and the other students. In fact, I'm even working on projects with one of the Metana students right now.Metana brings you all the structure and resources to be able to go from beginner/medium to advanced regarding Solidity and Blockchain.Benefits from Metana(in my opinion):

Weekly meetings: office hours with other students & instructor, + 1:1 meetings with the instructor. It was a great opportunity to discuss and learn together.

Structure & Resources: The structures and resources provided by Metana were top-notch. They really knew how to guide us through the learning journey and make everything easily understandable.

Relevant topics: They covered all the important topics that matter in Solidity and Blockchain interaction. (ERC20, ERC721, ERC1155, EIP1159, Hardhat, testing, Ethereum RPC calls, signatures, OpenZeppelin, Uniswap, Oracles, and so much more)

Developer experience: The "customer service" from the Metana team was exceptional. They were always quick to respond and helped me with any issues or doubts I had along the way. It made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.

Networking: They are constantly publishing hackathons and relevant events, also you get the chance to meet other students and forge meaningful relationships. You can collaborate with them on the capstone project or team up for hackathons, opening doors to new opportunities and shared experiences.

NOTE: One thing I really appreciate is that Metana added another instructor to their team. This gives you the flexibility to choose the instructor that best aligns with your learning style and preferences. + I also got a job for DevRel in web3 even before finishing Metana bootcamp.

On August,  I began attending Metana.  I have been studying web3 programming for several months on my own, but I wanted assistance in obtaining employment and to fill in any knowledge gaps. Prior to enrolling, I looked at a number of bootcamps to find one that met my criteria. The curriculum exceeds my expectations in every way. I am aware of the essential skills a web3 developer should possess, and they all get taught. They have some top-notch professors that are not only knowledgeable about the subject but also effective teachers. This type of bootcamp is not for the easily amused or the indecisive.

So far, I've had a great experience learning at Metana. Compared to other web3 learning resources I had looked into, the program is more extensive and complete. The small cohort sizes and great instruction by Jeff make it simple to participate in conversations and get your problems answered. The weekly assignments have been demanding and engaging, and they will serve as the foundation for a portfolio of projects that is both spectacular and distinctive.

I am halfway through the Web3 bootcamp, and it has changed my life! I've tried before to self-teach myself because I've always wanted to learn how to code properly, but I constantly get distracted and lose my focus. I have been able to focus and complete chores because of this bootcamp. The atmosphere is excellent, and because it is so engaging, you can ask whatever questions you choose. I would absolutely, positively recommend Metana if you're looking to enroll in a Web3 development bootcamp. I give it a 10/10.

Metana is more than just a boot camp. People are understanding here of your situation and are willing to go all the way to ensure that you have smooth learning experience, be it scholarships or be it understanding your hectic work schedule. People have been kind and understanding here. Personally this matters for me. Thank you Gayantha, Stan and Danuka. Coming to the mentor/instructor Jeff and the course, he comes off as jovial and enthusiastic in the classes. I like that he forces us to arrive at the answer than just spoon feed us. He makes learning fun, I think this forms a good basis to ensure our learning is sustained. The course is structured from the first principles like all the way from understanding how bitcoin works to the workings of Ethereum. It can seem a little fast paced in the beginning but it gets easier if we are consistent. Even the folks who join the boot camp seem like an interesting bunch. Almost every weekly meeting, a fellow boot camper shares something insightful and this excites me. It's actually not about web3/web2/shiny tech, it's about good people and I think Metana is run by good people.
