Web Development Bootcamp with Javascript - Barcelona

Después de visitar varios bootcamps en Barcelona,  Skylab (Isidi Coders) tenía una energía especial y no me equivoqué. De las mejores decisiones que he tomado. Un equipo fantástico, super profesionales y GRANDES PERSONAS!  Duro? Durísimo (PER ASPERA)! En mi trayectoria laboral he estado en varios sectores pero lo experimentado en el bootcamp no me había pasado nunca,  sobre todo aprender a gestionar la frustración.  Ya sabemos que con 11 semanas no terminas sabiéndolo todo en programación, pero sales con las mejores bases, buenas prácticas y un código limpio. Preparados para aspirar a cualquier posición (AD ASTRA). Trabajando ya como front-end developer, solo puedo dar las GRACIAS a David, Diana, Gilberto, Mario, Gerard y todos los profesores asistentes que hicieron posible este cambio laboral en mi vida.    

ISDI has definitely been a memorable life experience. Once you start the program, you will have to face your limits day after day after day... and that's the key to its success.The school provides you with the best tools, teachers and professional advices which, if you are willing to put the right effort, will transform you into a web developer in just a few months!The human aspect is a big part of the experience. You will be facing daily challenges which will probably overcome you, but you will be able to count on the support of 20+ classmates in your same situation. Shortly you will understand the importance of helping each other and you will end up making some really cool human connections.If you are looking for an educational experience that can transform your professional path in a really short time, then ISDI is definitely the right choice!

It's been a very long time since i wanted to learn programming, but life never goes as planned. Loads of years later, the moment arrived: I was very upset with my past job and decided to leave. "-It's now or never!" I had to move fast to find the ideal place to learn, It was THE moment and I mustn't let it go. So I moved forward, and met Gerard. He told me how ISDI Coders changed almost a thousand lives introducing them in the tech wheel and how was possible to learn that much in 3 months.It was hard to believe, but I believed him at first indeed.Then, at this moment, frightened, I decided to change my life. And now, a couple of  months later, I have my first web developer job. ISDI Coders changed my life ;)

A truly transformational experience. ISDI coders’ web development bootcamp has far exceeded my expectations, especially regarding coding expertise. However, this does come with a cost: be prepared to be inmersed in code (and nothing else) for 3 months. In my opinion, the course’s biggest strength (and competitive advantage) is its tailor-made curriculum. Over several past editions, the course’s structure and contents have been modified, iterating in order to maximize learning (and with it, reducing time in getting a job). This includes: a pre-course (done remotely) which ensures that students have a common foundation; a teaching methodology which combines theory and practical exercises; several weeks dedicated to building a project (both group and individual) and a highly skilled teaching staff.All in all, if you are willing to make the sacrifice, this is a unique experience I fully recommend to whoever is looking for new growth in their job prospects and beginning their journey in the tech industry.

Después de dos meses buscando un bootcamp que me convenciera, por fin decidí ir a ISDI Coders y fue la mejor decisión de mi vida. Una vez te pones en contacto con el quipo, te envían la prueba de acceso (que consisten en una serie de ejercicios). Pasada la prueba con éxito entras en un programa online de nivelación donde se aseguran que tienes los niveles básicos para superar el bootcamp. Durante todo este proceso tienes un maravilloso equipo que te apoya en todo lo necesario y te guían de una forma increíble.  Cuando la fase online termina y empieza el bootcamp, allí es cuando empiezas a aprender y solidificar los principios más importantes que vas a necesitar en la industria de la programación. El proceso es increíble y aprendes mucho sobre ti mismo, sobre tus compañeros y te lleva a un nuevo nivel de superación en tu vida. Si hubiera una solo cosa que había hecho diferente había sido hacer el bootcamp antes. Ahora mismo estoy trabajando en una compañía en Reino Unido que desarrolla software para grandes farmacéuticas. Y los 6 años anteriores al bootcamp trabajaba en la industria de la seguridad. Y gracias al équido de ISDI Coders, mi vida cambio :)Bootcamp Barcelona 07/2021

Growing up I did not have any computer in my household. In the university I barely handled Word or Powerpoint. Later things got a little better, but the point is that I doubted that ISDI Coders could really convert me into a good web developer in such a short time. I was mistaken. Their demanding and challanging program changes lives and I am a living proof. After finishing the program it took me about a month in the middle of the summer to find a job as a developer.  Moreover, thanks to ISDI Coders, I found friends and a community of like-minded people. They are highly-professional, they are up to date with the latest industry trends, they give you knowledge and skills to become a good developer. The experience is very challenging, especially if you come with no prior tech-related knowledge like myself. ISDI Coders provides everything for you to grow rapidly and you have to take it and absorb it all you can. The hardest thing for me was to not have social life during those 3 months, I barely saw my husband and kids,  but at the end it all was totally worth it...

I started with doubts that it was the ideal choice given the cost and the relatively blind gamble it involved, but now I couldn't be more pleased that I made the decision to go for it. ISDI Coders employees have the right attitude, education and tools to relaunch your career if you try hard enough and are able to maintain a high level of work. It's not magic, it's pure focused effort. When you finish, you will be level enough to work with a very long list of technologies and the security of being capable enough to work in the tech sector.

I've been like you, that is now reading this review, looking up for a Bootcamp school (in my case in Barcelona), thinking about the great investment of time and money that this will be, worried that if I'm doing the right choice. Well, let me say that you don't have to look further, and I can state that you can invest your hard earned money and time in ISDI Coders.In ISDI you will learn good practices (it's basically a mantra or a bible in there, you have to follow like if your life depends on it ), how to look by yourself for answers for complex problems and the importance of working as a team with your group. You will jump from zero or beginner knowledge to understand how to deal with modern and up to date frameworks and tools. Testing will be a mantra that the teachers will push into you until you freeze in fear for not testing your code. For almost 3 months you will eat, breath and sleep code, for basically 12 to 14 hours a day if you put yourself into it.Of course, much of it depends of you: how much effort that you put on the bootcamp, how many sleepless nights you push forward and also, very important, how much you show responsibility and teamwork . After I finished  almost at the end o July the bootcamp, I paused for a week and a half to get my batteries up, and after that, within less than 1 month, I got a great job offer with an above the average salary for a Junior dev. By the way, about testing your code : they teach you how to test and test and test more, and even better, they put all the context necessary and tools to understand why this is so important and vital as a Developer. Also the job support is constant,  you can make great networking if you keep in touch with the Bootcamp and their activities, and even in the vacation period from July to September, when usually it has less job offers, they keep referring you and asking constantly how is it going your job search. Of course, a the most essential thing is to show constant interest and put effort on it, so don't expect miracles if you're not a very driven person. So, don't look anymore for another bootcamp and even if you don't pass in their test the first time, keep pushing and trying, that is worth your effort and time if you were willing, like me, to change your professional life - and as bonus you can make very good friends as well!

The best professional decision I’ve taken so far. In only three months they managed to form me with all the knowledge needed to start my career as a web developer and more. If you are a hard worker, you like programing and team working it’s on you soft skill set, ISDI Coders it’s a must go. 
 
After completing the bootcamp, it only took me three weeks to complete the process of finding job (I must mention that I was able to choose between two companies).
 
To sum this up, you’ll be putting your life in pause while you do it, it’s hard and it’ll ask a lot from you (it’s a bootcamp after all) but if you keep your goal in mind, if you trust the passionate and professional team of ISDI Coders, and last but not least, if you work and bond with your study buddies, by the end of it you’ll have a set of skills that are beyond the default junior developer.

With the help of the school, the teachers and the incredible group of students, I've been able to become a professional fullstack developer in 3 month. This could sound like magic, but even it felt magical, It was real. I totally recommend this adventure to everyone who wants to make a big change in his or her life, because ISDI Coders changed my life. 

Changing your professional career in three months to become a web developer may seem impossible to achieve but with the FullStack Web Development Bootcamp at ISDI Coders it is absolutely possible. You will probably suffer a lot during three months but when you finish this training course you will be super prepared to prove your skills and good practices into a new and exciting professional sector. It is still early to say this but choosing ISDI Coders to become a web developer has been probably one of the best choices I have made in my entire life. 

Si lo que buscas es un giro de 180 grados en tu carrera profesional, y dedicarte a ser web developer este es tu sitio, porque? porque no solo te enseñan a programar como en otros sitios, sino que te enseñan a ser programador, como es el día a día en las empresas, a ser resolutivo e independiente. Ellos se van a encargar de todo eso, pero tu tienes que poner de tu parte esfuerzo, dedicación y disciplina, durante 11 semanas vas a estar de lunes a domingo programando 14h de media diarias.Todo ese esfuerzo merece la pena cuando al acabar el bootcamp en un periodo corto de tiempo encuentras trabajo en una empresa como desarroyador web full stack, como acaba de pasarme a mi.Asi que si estas en la situación en la que me encontraba yo hace meses, no lo dudes si tienes mentalidad fuerte, ganas, disciplina, constancia y trabajo duro apuntate y no te arrepentiras.

Due to COVID 19 I lost my job as a call center specialist. At that time I had no previous studies or experience with web development whatsoever but I was interested in that world. I decided to make an investment to improve my studies and change my career path (that was more focused on Economy) joining ISDI CODERS (former Skylab Coders) bootcamp.   The bootcamp was one of the hardest experiences I ever had, we had to work and study between 8 - 12 hours a day, everyday (weekends included) during 3 months. There was a lot of pressure, mostly from myself, to keep pushing and don't give up, but in the end it was all worth it.After completing the bootcamp, the academy gave me job support sending recommendations to many companies and sharing some job offers. For me it took around 6 months after finishing the bootcamp to finally get my contract with a company to work as a Front End developer using React, but during that period of time I studied on my own and work doing small projects as a freelancer.Overall, the economic investment and all the hard work paid off!

Acabé el bootcamp hace 2 meses y la verdad es que lo echo de menos. Fueron unas semanas intensas, de mucho esfuerzo, dónde aprendimos muy buenas prácticas y todos los conocimientos importantes para ser desarrollador web, es increíble todo lo que llegas a asimilar en tan poco tiempo. Asimismo la conexión que se crea con los compañeros, directivos y profesores es muy fuerte, casi como una familia, dónde el trabajo en equipo es fundamental. En mi caso yo no había programado nunca y me parecía imposible ser capaz de desarrollar una aplicación completa en pocas semanas, pero si hay ganas y le dedicas horas y sacrificio todo es posible. Animo a cualquier persona a vivir esta única experiencia en Isdi Coders que seguramente cambiará su vida, ha sido mucho más que un bootcamp.

Hace 6 meses, yo estaba como tú. Sí sí, como tú. Mirando reviews de bootcamps, preguntando a antiguos alumnos, hablando con conocidos... Y entonces, llegué a este pequeño rincón de internet donde veía que todas las reviews sobre ISDI Coders eran buenas, así que me lancé y me decidí por este bootcamp. Si había tanta gente contenta, era por algo ¿no? Mandé un primer email, estudié para la prueba de acceso, la hice y me cogieron. Dejé mi trabajo de dependienta en una tienda de electrónica y aposté por sobrevivir con mis ahorros. Quería estar 100% dedicada a este nuevo sueño: convertirme en programadora web. Hice el precurso del bootcamp echándole muchísimas horas. No había programado nunca y ya empecé a notar la cantidad de conocimientos que aprendía desde el precurso. Y luego llegó el bootcamp... maravilloso y horrible a la vez jajaja. 12-14 horas al día programando, de Lunes a Domingo. Se sufre el cansancio y la frustración pero es INCREÍBLE todo lo que se aprende. No sólo a nivel técnico sino que realmente te enseñan la pasión por programar y por ser un programador/a con buenas prácticas. Te enseñan a ser el mejor junior con el que se van a encontrar las empresas, y cuando te das cuenta (esa "revelación" que tienes sobre la semana 9-10 del bootcamp) lloras de emoción y de orgullo por todo lo que has conseguido en tan poco tiempo. Tras mi paso como estudiante, fui elegida como profesora adjunta de la siguiente edición, y todo lo que yo había vivido, lo volví a vivir viéndolo desde fuera. Viendo como gente que llegaba con 0 conocimientos, salía en la semana 11 construyendo una aplicación fullstack como si llevara programando toda la vida. Una maravilla.Y aquí estoy, en mi primera semana fuera de las aulas de ISDI Coders, escribiendo esta reseña, con un precontrato firmado de trabajo como programadora, en la empresa de mis sueños, TRIPLICANDO el sueldo que tenía como dependienta. Con un premiazo por haberme presentado a una hackathon y haberla ganado, siguiendo todos los valores que me enseñó esta familia. Y totalmente integrada en la comunidad tech de España.Hacer balance y el pensar todo lo que he ganado cuando decidí apostar por este bootcamp, es... no hay palabras (y pocas veces me quedo yo sin palabras) Definitivamente es un lugar donde se cumplen los sueños si trabajas duro. Así que volviendo a ti, querida personita que lee esta review, si tienes claro que tu sueño es ser programador/a web, te ahorro el buscar en mas sitios donde estudiar. Definitivamente, esta escuela es la mejor :) ♡

After 18 years working on automation industry, one year and a half unemployed and with 39 years, I decided to change my professional career, so I made during three months, the full stack bootcamp with SkyLab Coders (ISDI Coders).I shared this experience with students, engineers, cooks, psychologists, and more of different ages.After three months all my classmates and me have learned the necessary to start as a developer, not just technically but also mentally.One month and a half after the bootcamp's ended, I have had the oportunity to make several job interviews, and at the end I have found a job that really interests me, saying no to other really interesting proposals. And a lot of this job interviews arrived from SkyLab Coders (ISDI Coders).There is a lot of things that I could explain about the experience, but It would not be enough to really describe it.I higly recommend SkyLab Coders (ISDI Coders) if someone wants to get introduced to this sector and don't know how, but also if someone likes the web development and wants to learn to code with good practices and new technologies in a few months.You will not regret it!

Skylab no es solo un bootcamp, es un lugar donde entras queriendo programar y salir siendo un developer. En 11 semanas, trabajando en familia con otras personas que quieren lo mismo que vos, asistiendo al bootcamp incluso sábado y domingo por gusto, para no perderme de aprender un segundo y seguir creciendo con mis compañeros. Vas a aprender a programar, trabajar en equipo, y con nuevos amigos. Para convertirte en developer, Skylab.

Realizar el bootcamp en Skylab Coders Academy ha sido una de las mejores experiencias de mi vida. En menos de 8 meses, desde que tomé la decisión de cambiar mde sector laboral para dedicarme a la programación, he conseguido trabajo como Developer. Y ha sido gracias a Skylab.Son 11 semanas muy intensas, llenas de emociones, en las que el aprendizaje y la convivencia hacen de la experiencia algo único.

Mi experiencia en Skylab ha sido fantástica de principio a fin, el temario impartido se basa en lo que el mercado requiere, el staff y el ambiente de grupo que se genera durante el bootcamp son magnificos y un apoyo durante estos 3 intensos meses y por último el formato es increible, considero que he salido muy bien preparado y prueba de ello es que después de 1 mes des de que finalizó el bootcamp puedo decir oficialmente que trabajo como web developer!!

Skylab es, sin lugar a dudas, el mejor bootcamp del mundo. Todo el sistema de enseñanza se basa en la empleabilidad, se profundiza en áreas como las metodologías ágiles, los frameworks más demandados y el unit testing, skills que marcan la diferencia en un developer. También quiero destacar la parte humana de los gestores y de los profesores, poniendo siempre el foco en el alumno. Y algo que realmente diferencia a Skylab es el ambiente que se genera entre los compañeros, se crea una comunidad siempre dispuesta a ayudarte. 
La exigencia es máxima, tienes que dar lo mejor de ti mismo y trabajar muy duro, pero luego se ven los resultados. Una prueba de la calidad que tiene el bootcamp es poder realizar un proyecto final Full Stack utilizando una librería a la que nunca antes te has enfrentado, como fue mi caso. 
Si estás buscando un bootcamp que te permita tener un empleo como desarrollador, Skylab es tu mejor elección.
