UX Writing Academy

I did the AI for UX course with the UX Writing Hub in May 2024 until July 2024. It was advertised as follows:

The course was $999 so I had to have a long hard think about whether I wanted to pay that kind of money. I exchanged a few messages with Yuval Keshcher, the owner/operator of this company and I decided to do it.  - The course itself was ok, but not worth $999. The written material was interesting enough and the first two zoom sessions were very interesting when you are new to AI (which I was). After the first 2 weeks it only really focussed on AI design, not AI writing. I am not a designer so it really did not benefit me from that point. It was certainly not what it was made out to be in the ad and in the correspondence I had had with Yuval.  - The assignments we had to do were never checked, discussed or evaluated in any shape or form. I never even did my last assignment and I was still sent a certificate of participation in September.I struggled obtaining the promised free Figma Masterclass for UX Writers but it was given to me eventually. This course was more hands on, with actual assignments that were checked and discussed in each lesson. It was certainly better developed and I had discussed this with Yuval who said (and I agree) it is very hard to keep up with AI - every day there is something new and every week things completely change again. We came to a resolution that was fair for the both of us. Yuval is very approachable and responsive via whatsapp and his company UX Writing Hub also offers some free courses that are really good and easy to follow. I find that the AI course and the Figma course were more designer-focused rather than UX-writer focused but the Figma course was good and the first lessons of the AI course an excellent introduction to AI and all the different available AI tools that are out there.
