UX/UI Design Bootcamp & Internship

I am a career switcher from teaching high school graphic design to transitioning to UX/UI design. I found this course to be incredibly helpful for me to learn what UX/UI design is. The foundations course takes you through the design principles, color theory, and wireframing with many lessons to help expand your knowledge of design theory. The course culminates with a final project that allows you to put what you learn into practice. You also get paired with a mentor who walks through the building and learning process with you. 10/10 would recommend!

 This program is an incredible gateway into the world of UI/UX design, regardless of your experience level. It is fast-paced, dynamic, and expertly structured. A standout feature is the mentorship program; connecting with an industry professional provided invaluable insights that go far beyond theory. Having the opportunity to iterate on designs based on real-world workflows was a highlight. Between the well-crafted curriculum and the hands-on project, I felt fully supported and engaged throughout the entire journey. 

Estudiar en Neoland Madrid ha sido, sinceramente, una experiencia muy frustrante. Aunque se publicitan como un Bootcamp intensivo de 9 semanas para formación en diseño UX/UI (entre otras disciplinas), lo cierto es que la intensidad del programa roza lo insostenible para la salud mental. Se exige muchísimo en muy poco tiempo, sin el apoyo pedagógico adecuado ni una estructura realmente pensada para el aprendizaje efectivo.
Una mención muy importante va dirigida a los profesores del área de UX, quienes, con pocas excepciones, carecen completamente de habilidades comunicativas. No saben transmitir los conceptos con claridad y, a menudo, dejan al alumnado más confundido que al empezar. Además, el Job Support (que debería ser un apoyo clave tras acabar el Bootcamp) es completamente inútil. La persona encargada no hace absolutamente nada y, para colmo, te mandan ofertas de prácticas que no solo son sin remuneración, sino que rozan lo ilegal. ¿De verdad están fomentando la esclavitud estudiantil?
También es inadmisible la falta de seriedad de la escuela en cuestiones administrativas. Cuando se les solicita documentación o acceso a cursos online que nos prometieron como parte del programa, simplemente desaparecen o te dan largas. La comunicación post-curso es inexistente y dejan claro que, una vez han cobrado, tú ya no eres su problema.Para colmo, venden la falsa ilusión de que “todo el alumnado acaba trabajando”, cuando la realidad es bien distinta. Hay incluso teacher assistants que llevan meses sin trabajo remunerado a pesar de tener experiencia. Lo usan como señuelo, pero en realidad es precariedad disfrazada de oportunidad.Mi recomendación es clara: evitad esta escuela. Hay muchas opciones más honestas, humanas y comprometidas con el aprendizaje real y el bienestar de sus estudiantes.

I’m currently going through this UX/UI bootcamp, and it’s been an amazing journey so far! The curriculum is structured in a way that builds a strong foundation in both UX and UI design, and each week I feel more confident in my skills. The tutors are incredibly knowledgeable and always available to answer questions and offer guidance.What I love most is the hands-on approach. Every module includes real-world projects that allow me to apply what I’m learning, so I’m not just absorbing theory—I’m actively building my portfolio.

As someone who wanted to become a UX designer, participating in a UX Academy from DesignLab was a great experience for me. DesignLab taught me UX design principles and the latest tools essential for UX design so that I could become a UX/UI designer, and I actually got hired as a UX/UI Designer this year. I recommend the UX Academy from DesignLab if someone wants to become a UX designer without a previous design background.

couldn't have asked for a better experience. I was free to experiment with different creative ideas and learning new insights in the academy foundations. before joining I dint know whether I wanted to go for ux Ui , the academy foundations was perfect , I was supported well and had good tools and mentors who would answer any questions I had. I was free to independently make any changes and challenge existing models and ideas. 

Complete scam. Waste of money, time, and effort. Better off self teaching yourself development, coding, UXUI, and analytics skills and avoiding this fake bootcamp. Zero support, false advertising, and no real educators. Any mention of job support is a flat out lie. Plenty of resources exist to learn yourself and avoid a heaping pile of bullshit. I completed the course in data analytics after first pursuing UXUI. My resulting new skills and education in these areas plus development came only from external mentors and tools. This fake bootcamp eroded my computer and drained my mental health, leading me to seek therapy. But I'd be damned if I did not still pursue the education I wanted. Do not let Ironhack bring you down! Anyone deserves better. I am lucky to be resilient and resourceful to have survived for how this program brings people down.

This is a great foundation course to learn about good theory and learn how to use Figma with great tips. I enjoyed the course and I felt like I learned a lot. Having a mentor is helpful, I got along great with my mentor. My mentor helps to iterate my work as well as teaches me how to approach a project and how to critique the work. It is a very flexible program, I could learn it at my own pace while working full-time. I think that this foundation course  is essential to take this foundation course before joining the UX Academy. 

This course gave me everything I needed to succeed in the UX/UI Academy. I learned so much about this industry and the tools that are used. I am shifting careers and knew basically nothing about UX/UI before this program and thank goodness I decided to do this before I jumped into the full UX/UI Academy. Without the skills and design eye that this course taught me, I feel confident that I will be successful in the full program. My mentor was invaluable in honing my skills and helped guide me along this process. Thanks to her kind words and guidance I now feel confident that this is the career for me. I cannot give this preparatory course enough credit for setting me up for the next step in my career journey. 11/10

Took the UX Foundations course and completed within 4 weeks to be able to join the upcoming cohort in December and was very satisfied. While there is a lot of information to retain and the pace I chose to complete this course could sometimes feel overwhelming, the support from my mentor put my mind at ease. One of the best parts of this program is the mentorship. I've taken previous bootcamps from other competitors and did not receive this 1:1 support and can say the program is worth every penny. 

There were too many jargons in the reading contents that I had to look for similar tutorials on YouTube in order to fully understand the concept. But it was fun nonetheless. I enjoyed the weekly mentor sessions, it really does help to clarify whatever questions I have while attempting each unit. 

I really liked the bootcamp so far, the mentor and the tutor and the whole team are so encouraging and helpful. I’m in the middle of the course but so far so good and satisfied with the decision I made

I started the course without really knowing what to do and didn’t really have an idea about UX Design, a friend who worked in tech recommended it and I watched some YouTube video ant thought it might fit me. I am beyond happy I chose this course and became passionate about learning more of UX. Thanks CareerFoundry!
