SQL Fundamentals

I've been enjoying the SQL Fundamentals course so far! I've learned a lot about SQL and I use it concurrently with other resources/books that I find online. My only issue, and it's a common issue with Dataquest, is the lack of homework or assignments that can be done to hone in on the material. It could boost memory retention and help with fully understanding the information being presented.

It was an easy and great experience where you can practice directly and you dont have to set up an environment, where you can start right away and practice. I like how the guided projects are easily guided and helps you to create your own projects. It is very work oriented and I love every minute practicing on it!

Overall a great platform for self-paced instruction on a variety of technical skills including SQL, Python, R and AI prompts. Geared toward students who favor learning by reading instructions and immediately applying in a GUI interface to submit the answers requested at each learning module. No videos or audio are provided. Biggest frustration is when stuck and if the AI chatbot cannot resolve, a help desk ticket is required and typically disrupts learning - as modules require a correct response to move on. Overall decent if you enjoy learning this way and works for me.

I appreciate the method used for the Dataquest tutorials. Of the courses I've learned SQL, Data Science, SQL ect... there are no videos or long drawn out pages of useless information. The lessons cover the basic concept or two and then you are immediately tasked to code. I love it! There is so much more on the site that I can't wait to learn.

The SQL class is actually really good! Super great for people who are not in data try to learn data skills. I have been in finance & accounting for my whole life and have 0 experience of learning data. I breezed through the SQL class with no problem. However, I'd recommend dataquest to launch a more advanced level of the SQL class.
