I recently completed the full-time 12-week software engineering course with IOD. I had previous experience in programming, but the course really helped fill in gaps in my knowledge and gave me industry best practices that made me confident to start job hunting. I feel like it gave me a solid foundation to build upon, the content was practical and relevant to the current software engineering job market.

I recently completed a part-time, six-month remote software engineering bootcamp, and it was a transformative experience. The curriculum was comprehensive, covering both front-end and back-end development. I delved into HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the front end, and React for building dynamic user interfaces. On the back end, I learned SQL for database management and MongoDB for handling NoSQL databases.
The structure of the course was well-balanced, allowing me to manage my time effectively while juggling other commitments. The remote format was convenient, providing flexibility without compromising the quality of education. The content was rich and up-to-date, ensuring that I was learning the most relevant technologies and best practices in the industry.
One of the highlights of the bootcamp was the lecturer. They were not only knowledgeable but also approachable and supportive. Their teaching style made complex concepts easier to grasp, and they were always available to answer questions and provide guidance. The interactive sessions and hands-on projects were particularly beneficial, as they allowed me to apply what I learned in real-world scenarios.

My tutor was incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that we understood the material. The assistant tutors were equally fantastic, providing additional support and insights that were invaluable.Additionally, I was able to make some lasting connections with my fellow students. The collaborative environment fostered by the course was truly remarkable, and I feel confident that these connections will be beneficial throughout my career.While the course is a bit pricey, the investment is absolutely worth it. For residents, there is a flexible two-year payment plan available, which makes it more accessible. The skills and knowledge gained from this course are definitely worth the cost.In summary, I highly recommend the Software Engineering course by IOD. It is an excellent program that provides great value for the investment, outstanding instruction, and the opportunity to build lasting professional relationships. 

I decided to take on the SE course with hopes of changing careers. It was focused around web development technologies and gave me a solid foundation . The beauty of software is that so many skills are transferrable. Learning the basic Web Dev coding languages are great to start with and made it easier when I started trying out other coding languages. Doing it part-time remotely gave me so much flexibility and made it all possible since I am based in the waikato. The lecturers are extremely helpful and have a wealth of knowledge. Keep in mind that this is a short course with a lot of content so it is fast paced and you need to keep on top of it. Bearing in mind , this is completely achievable coming from someone who has a full time 50hr per week job as well as a young daughter. The course has given me the skills needed to starting the job hunt and I am gaining traction now.

Incredible support, practical learning and an overall fun and inclusive environment. I loved my time learning with IOD and I would highly recommend anyone wanting to study to go through them
