Software Development Online Part-Time Flex

I thought what I learned was good. Originally I felt after graduation, they were pretty helpful with resume stuff and helping you propel to try to find a career. Unfortunately when I graduated there were tons of layoffs in the industry so hard to get a job.  But I kept using the coding dojo website to make sure I stay sharp on what I was taught and I would find new skills to learn or to grow. Now they are taking all access away from any one that graduated and it seems impossible to get in touch with any one who would help you find a career after. It’s an overpriced scam. Go with another boot camp that will either actually help you, or a cheaper one. 

 As a web designer with extensive WordPress knowledge, this bootcamp was a waste of money.  It took me over 700 applications to get hired as a Web Support Specialist.  The "skills" I learned were not enough to enter into an entry level Front-end or Back-end position.  If you are willing to learn independently for MONTHS after graduation - treating it as a FT job then this might be your school.  Otherwise - go to CodeAcademy - complete personal projects - enroll in their Full-Stack track and save yourself thousands of dollars.  Coding Dojo employees former students as their instructors with no industry experience - same applies for their TA's. 

My experience with coding dojo was not great. Most of the material you can get off like for free and the hours they had available for help was outside my work schedule. Web Fundamentals was the best part but once I transitioned into Python it was awful. They cram so many things in such a small amount of time it was difficult to feel that you learned anything especially working 40 hours a week. The instructors had very little experience, just a year or so just out of graduating coding dojo. Most of my frustration comes from how even impacted by Hurricane Ian the company talked me into staying not advising me once you complete 50% you get no refund. Once I was past the 50% it’s like they didn’t care. 

Coding Dojo is a family that help you achieved new skills at the same time improve as a human being, have fun and learn that the way to be reach through too you need to be humble .✅: great support from instructor, teaching assistants and classmates.❌: The platform should be update with the latest software. The platform should be more completed so students can fully be prepared to work on a company.Should relate more group projects as mandatory to get more familiar to collaborate with other developers.

I started this program with zero experience. Had a good platform to learn by myself and have previous lecture recordings. The learning platform was also well developed and maintained. All around it was a great experience.

My personal experience of Coding dojo was phenomenal. They have amazing Student support, Career support, Instructors, TA's, and even students(your cohort essentially).They are fully prepared to assist you and get you learn what you need.They key to succeed in this program is that you put your 100% effort and most importantly NEVER GIVE UP.I can't thank all the people who helped me through this program!

I cannot recommend classes at the Dojo highly enough. I was really worried that I might have trouble building a sense of community with my instructors and peers, since I was taking the classes strictly online and the live zooms were optional. I shouldn't have worried at all! My instructors were so personable and made it easy to feel connected, and my classmates felt like real friends! I loved the ability to connect with LGBTQIA+ and female-specific affinity groups using the Coding Dojo discord server, and never felt like I was lost without someone to turn to.I also want to give a shoutout to the Career Services guidance I got along the way. It was helpful to have specific, actionable feedback on ways to make myself marketable, and their advice really works! Since the halfway point of the program, recruiters have been reaching out to me pretty regularly to discuss different job openings in the tech field. Plus, my CSM was really approachable and friendly, and I never felt silly asking for guidance.

Based on experience that I have with them for online class,  I thought I learned a lot from the program the progress that I made there prepare me for the next advanced level of coding.
