SheCodes Basics

I knew I needed structure but also knew that I didn't have 10k to take some of the bootcamps I had heard about that seemed to crank people out and it wasn't very personal. The fact that this was women focused made it more appealing and comfortable to be honest about where I am and what my goals are. I cannot believe how personal and great this experience has been so far. I have LEARNED so much, not memorizing or whatnot, actually learning how to put things into practice and how to fix things. 10/10

 I truly enjoyed the SheCodes Basics course. It is packed with a lot of information that's nicely separated into several lessons per week. This is making it easy to combine it with work. Big Thumbs up to the SheCodes team! I feel I've learned a lot and am equipped to move forward with SheCodes Plus.

I am trying to get into my dream job with Robotics, unfortunately everyone is looking for coding these days. I have not coded since college! To have my credentials updated and within a short amount of time is perfect to get my life started correctly.

SheCodes basics provides an introduction to the world of coding with lesson on the fundamentals of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. 

I liked this course a lot, it was fun and easy to understand. Very reasonably paced too.

You can learn coding easily if you want and try. You can watch lesson's video, do challenges and ask questions every time you are confused. Every lesson teaches you clearly the subject and after doing the challenges, you will understand them very well. I am so excited to have the chance to participate in these courses.

SheCodes has been a fantastic experience! Matt's training is logical, interactive and challenging (in a good way!). The programme is well paced and easy to follow and the team on hand when you get stuck to offer fast and friendly help

I have always been interested in coding. I, unfortunately, was told I was not a good fit for coding when I enrolled in college due to my lifestyle (wife and mother of two). I decided to follow the counselor's advice and in 2020 completed my major in Creative Writing. Throughout my school years, however, I took some coding classes and came across SheCodes--a coding program specifically built for women! Now that I am more confident and have more time for myself, I signed up with SheCodes ^_^ The lessons are broken down in a way that makes learning to code approachable, and the final project truly involved all that I learned. The SheCodes support team was very kind, understanding, and helpful. It's an efficient and easy-to-follow program, I recommend it to all.

In a few short weeks, I've gone from knowing nothing about coding, to having my first solid footholds into the subject. I'm excited to keep learning and really appreciate all of the hard work and time that has gone into developing this program. It really helps to learn in the bite-sized chunks of material with lots of hands on practice mixed in.

Enrolling in SheCodes Basics was the best decision I've made! The lessons are easy to follow as Matt does a wonderful job explaining the concepts. Do yourself a favor and sign up with SheCodes if you are curious about coding! 10/10. I am looking forward to continuing on with SheCodes Plus!

This course was awesome! Really enjoyed the lessons and the challenges. I was so excited with it that I end by doing everything in less than 2 weeks. Can't wait to enrol in the next level!

I have worked at a few start ups in the Bay Area and always knew there was a gender gap in the industry so I was thrilled to find a program specific to women that was affordable. This was a fantastic introduction to coding that reinforced a lot of the things I felt I already knew (aka how to read code), but it taught me so much more about how the "languages" speak to each other. I'll definitely be returning for another level of courses.

With its hands-on, friendly, and supportive approach SheCodes changed completely my perception of coding from a scary and unapproachable discipline to a fun and creative one! I have completed the first workshop and I was overexcited to move onto the next one! 💪 Special thanks to the SheCodes community (makers and students)! 💕 

SheCodes has been an absolute lifeline for learning code. I've tried several ways to learn and SheCodes has been the only way i've ever understood what im doing.If you're like me I can't learn from lessons that are just 'copy and paste what I've done'. They offer no additional explanation as to why it's working and I'm no better off. SheCodes explains how things work and then allow you to use them in actual projects. And if you do get stuck there's so much support available! I've signed up for all the additional workshops straight away! Cant wait to use what i've learnt these past few weeks in my job and continue to learn!  

I can't believe I had zero knowledge of html, css and java 3 weeks ago. Now I've created a page from scratch and I can't wait to keep learning. I love Matt's way of explaining complex ideas. I also love the fact that we start working on VS Code right away. I absolutely recommend this workshop.

This learning experience helped me a lot in my work. I know now how to create an interactive page. Thank you a lot for this!
