SheCodes Basics

Before SheCodes, I had couple of attempts for learning programming but nothing really worked for me as I found it really boring and not that easy. But SheCodes changed my mind. The way Matt teaches programming is absolutely amazing in a way that not only learning becomes easy, but also the challenges become fun and exciting. SheCodes team also did an outstanding job having our back any time I had a question about something. Their replies were all quick and clear. I just can't wait to continue learning coding and programming with SheCodes! ❤️

I really enjoyed my experience with SheCodes Basics. I think the courses were designed well and I appreciated the videos created by Matt with instruction and examples. My favorite part of the course was being able to be "turned loose" to do homework and projects. There were goals that we had to meet for each project, but we got a lot of creative freedom which was exciting. I feel more confident, not only about my ability to code, but also about my ability to figure out what I need when I'm missing something or need help with some part of my code. The problem solving was clutch!

This step-by-step program was so easy to understand ! Even with no coding background, I felt more confident in my coding skills with each lesson. The SheCodes team is always ready to help when needed. I cannot wait to continue on this journey with the workshops and coding!

I tried coding a long time ago when I first got in college and I quite after a week because I was frustrated and the class was confusing. When I decided to get out of teaching and change careers I was unsure of what I wanted to do I came across shecodes on Instagram and thought " I will try the basic course and go from there". I have never had so much fun learning something new the curriculum was broken down into easily understandable chunks and you challenge at the end of each video to make sure you understood what was taught. The mini assignments before the homework made the homework less overwhelming. I was worried when I learned the instructor was French because I did not know how strong his accent would be but, even though he has an accent I can make out everything he is saying perfectly. I have never had so much fun learning something new. I can't wait to make it to front end developer. 

This course the best experience from all the online courses I tried. The instructor (Matt) was very good! I used to have some experience with HTML and CSS. I did the course to refresh my memory and it really helped! 

I started doing SheCodes last month. I currently have a full time job and I have attempted to learn front end developing before but found the HTML course a little over my head. When I started on SheCodes I found that I really like Matt's teaching style, as well as the pacing for the courses. I have already learned a ton and feel like I understand the course material. It's also a tremendous help that we can ask questions on Slack and have our inquiries responded to in less than 24 hours. I'm excited to continue to learn and develop this skill!

Just finished my course and I learned a lot about HTML, CSS and basic JavaScript. It’s a great start to enter Coding. As a student, I found other courses quite expensive, but this certificate was affordable, especially if you consider the detailed instructions and explanations in the course. You get several homeworks to test your skills & to make sure you actually learned something. joining a great community with like-minded women is a huge bonus! Overall, I was happy with the skills I learn and the knowledge I gained in the basics course. I can recommend this course to every woman who is planning to enter Coding! Let‘s see how the other courses will be :) 

A great workshop with easy to follow videos and motivating challenges, it is probably the best way to learn coding as a beginner. also the project at the end of the workshop really helps with integration of the topics taught.

I got to know about She Codes from an Instagram ad, took the free class and after a while I decided to sit and finally learn how to code! It's such an interesting world and so satisfying at the same time that I will definitely continue learning more and more!

This workshop introduced me to HTML, CSS, and javascript. It made me use my time appropriately to learn something fun, practical, and useful. Creating a webpage from scratch was lovely. If you are interested in coding or not sure about it, try this workshop. I bet you're going to love coding because of matt. His teaching methods are flawless. Looking forward to my next workshop.

I took the SheCodes basics course and it was a quick refresher for me as a frontend engineer with about 3 years of experience. I only wish SheCodes was there when I wanted to start coding! The instructions are really smooth and I highly recommend beginners to start their coding journey on SheCodes platform. I will definitely continue learning through SheCodes workshops.

This course is fantastic. It is user friendly with lots of resources and a great community. I started this course as a complete beginner, although i knew about coding languages through research. I have since graduated from She Codes Basic and started Plus. I feel happy when I am learning and this course has given me the opportunity to turn that into a career one day! I work full time so I had to learn the best way to manage my time. Thankfully, I love doing this so that wasn't too hard to do. The weekly challenges/ homework are quite hard but they help you learn a lot 😊❤️ 

I am a mom of 3 that is currently unemployed and looking for a career change into technology development. SheCodes.io appeared to be the right answer from the outside and after the basics program, I know I made the right choice. Matt is such a brilliant teacher that you know more than you realize by the time you finish. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend this workshop, it takes you through all the basics of HTML, CSS and JS. Matt is an excellent teacher who breaks down information so that it is easy to understand and follow along. The challenges after almost each lesson is a great way to practice what you have just learnt. I really enjoyed this course and would recommend this workshop to anyone wanting to get into coding. I am starting SheCodes plus next week and I’m very excited to get going with it!
