Product Management Certification

It was a great experience overall. The course included latest methodologies and practical techniques. The instructor was super supportive throughout the course. I was a part of product management course. It was well segmented in terms of module and the exercises in between classes was very useful.

I took the course and am now not only with no job as a PM but also down $4100 because not only was the course a poor learning experience but so has been its promise in making me more marketable as a PM.

I had an amazing experience of attending Product Management course at Brainstation. The course was structured in a way that made it easier to understand and grasp the concepts even for a naive like me in products space. The slides were very informational along with videos which made it more interesting. A big shout out to our trainer Ms Andrea who really explained the concepts well and helped us throught this journey. 

Product school has been a pretty great experience for me. It allowed me to learn the foundations of product management. It is not always enough to land a PM job (that depends on your background) but it definitely set me on the right path. 

The product management course instructors are awesome and super supportive. The content included in the course although intensive and comprehensive, I enjoyed the 10 weeks I spent learning about PM and excited to start my PM career.

Product school was a great resource in helping me with my industry transfer into product management. My instructor, Toby Martin Hughes, was very informative and is definitely a very talented product management instructor. I am pleased to have attended this class, and look forward towards my career as a PM.

Not sure how Product School has such raving reviews. The majority of the learning takes place virtually via videos and slides. The content is informative but the online learning platform is not super user friendly which is surprising for a school that supposedly is specialized in tech product mgmt. The 36.5 hours of instructor-led learning promised in the course brochure are not really instructor led (it's you working on a group project for 90+ minutes of each 120 minute class). The project canvases in Mural are poorly designed and not explained well. (Design and communication should be baseline for this space, so I'm confused again as to why the school does not practice what it sells). I also found it frustrating that one of my team members did not collaborate well. Because of the structure of the class, I was stuck with them throughout. The one plus was that I was able to use the language from the syllabus and course content to boost my resume, but in retrospect, I wish I had just signed up for Coursera or another option at the fraction of the cost. Really not worth the $5K price tag.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my live PMC sessions with my classmates, project team members and the instructor Ronke Majekodunmi. Before I enrolled in her class, I thoroughly researched all instructors on the syllabus. I wanted to find someone who looked like me so that I could see myself in that role. She was the only one on that list and it has been a fantastic experience being a learner in her class. Ronke breathed life into the lectures, PowerPoints, and videos by providing us with real life examples, chunks of wisdom and advice, encouragement, and perspective. I also enjoyed the additional recommended resources she provided throughout the course that added additional context to the lectures. My journey would not have been possible without the exceptional support, guidance, and communication from our instructor. I highly recommend enrolling in her class and listening to her podcast!

I graduated Shilpa Vir’s PMC cohort recently. It is very rare to find a charismatic and  motivational instructor with exceptional product expertise. I took the 8 weeks product management certification program to enhance my skills and learn the basics of Product management. I have been looking to transition into PM and this was a perfect opportunity.Our instructor Alex Alwan was a real mentor and shared valuable knowledge shared in the course and based on his Product Manager experiences. He knew the material really well and supplemented the lessons with specific and relevant examples from his own personal experience as Sr. Product Manager. Additionally, he adjusted the pace of the lessons to our cohort's needs and interests.I would highly recommend taking this course under him for any aspiring Product Managers. 

I had a great experience with the product school. I had to change my class a couple of times because of conflicting schedules at work and they were very  accommodating. I took the class with Shilpa Vir and learned a ton from her. She made the classes fun and I highly recommend her classes. 

Recently finished up my Product Management Certificate course and had a great experience with our instructor Shilpa Vir. I didn't have a technical background and was able to learn a lot and gain many valuable skills in the class with Shilpa's instruction and through our productive discussions. The group homework and assignments were nicely tailored to teach me main PM skills and examples our instructor provided have been very helpful to understand the topic even if you have not worked in tech companies before. Learned a lot over the last two month in our class and working on landing my first PM job.

I got what I was looking for with the Product School Certification. I am so glad I took the Class with Instructor Shilpa Vir as her feedback is always honest and objective. She is able to be quick on her feet and is clearly highly experienced, which makes her reasoning when solving a problem extremely insightful. She made sure everyone felt heard and followed through with extra office hours. The Students in the class were very supportive as well and we learned a lot from each other. Highly recommend it if anyone is looking to shift careers or go more in depth as a PM. 

Just completed the Product Manager certification course.  WOW.  First and foremost - Shilpa the instructor was amazing. Her resume looked impressive which is why I decided to dedicate my Saturday nights for two months for the course. She dished out knowledge and expanded on the course material whenever she felt that she can bring added value.  She held office hours TWICE a week for both European and U.S. timezones and provided deep feedback to all assignments.It was a privilege and an honor to learn from her.The course material was also fantastic and immediately applicable. As a student, you can get out of the course as much as you put it.  With reading assignments and homework, you should plan on investing at least 8 hours a week if not more and use all the resources that are added in the class notes.  It's a great tool for both those who are trying to get into product management and those who are looking to round up their skills.  My 19 cohorts included many who will make amazing product managers and will have a great career.  And this is the last great thing about the course: the class.  It was such a fantastic mix of cultures, backgrounds, ages and a vey healthy 50/50 female/male ration, one could not have asked for a better cohort.Highly recommend.

I highly recommend the Product School if you are looking to break into the PM career and are looking for a comprehensive overview of the Product Management role. I recently completed an 8-week Product Management Certificate course at Product School with Shilpa Vir and absolutely enjoyed it. Shilpa brings years of industry experience in this field and she always goes above and beyond in clarifying the concepts with her real-time work experience. She is very knowledgeable and supportive and I'm very happy that I got to know her and professionally connect to her through this wonderful course. 

My experience with The Product School was great! The course did a good job of ramping the student up from the basics of product development to the eventual final project. The course is supplemented with the product schools own book that is a great reference for when you don't understand a concept. My Instructor, Farhaz Karmali had a strong background in Product Management and could pull examples from his own experience when teaching us. He's great when explaining different concepts of PM and even gave us helpful feedback before and after our final projects. All in all a great experience. 

I am a co-founder of a Robo-Advisor startup called WealthAgile.  Dr Joel Palathinkal has been doing an amazing job of teaching me Product Management!  This course has assisted greatly in creating a new product.  Joel's background in Product Management and Fintech has proven invaluable!  I would recommend this course and Joel to anyone.  Truly has been an amazingly educational process, that I am sure will continue into the future!

Excellent accelerated PM Course!  I enjoyed this course, it included lots of case studies, and hands on work which is the best way for me to learn.  The instructor Joel was very engaging, and provided lots of real life examples, and honest feedback to questions.  I appreciated the small class size, and that students brought their own life experiences, and diverse ideas to share.  

The structure of the class was very intimate and the material covered was very thorough. The instructor, Joel, by having so many years of experience in the industry, brought so many relevant and helpful insights about what it takes to succeed as a Product Manager. I am very confident that the knowledge I gained in this class will be key in helping me transition into Product Management.
