Post-Graduate Program in Data Science & Business Analytics

I enrolled in the Walsh Program at this institute with high expectations, but my overall experience has been mixed. There are several important points that prospective students should carefully consider before applying.
The program is significantly more expensive than other comparable programs in the industry. Unfortunately, the quality of the content and learning resources does not justify the premium pricing. In fact, similar educational material can be found elsewhere at a much lower cost, which makes the overall value proposition questionable.
Additionally, there is little to no placement support provided by the institution. Students are largely on their own when it comes to securing job opportunities after graduation. If you are expecting structured career guidance, campus placements, or a smooth transition into a new role, this program may not meet your expectations. Be prepared to invest additional time and effort independently to build your career.
In summary, while the program may offer learning opportunities, its high cost and lack of placement support are important factors to consider before making a decision.

The course was well-structured and covered essential concepts such as Python fundamentals, data analysis using libraries like Pandas and NumPy, data visualization, and applying insights to real business problems.The learning materials and recorded sessions were also very helpful for revision.Overall, this program significantly enhanced my skills in data analysis and business analysis. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to build a strong foundation in Python and analytics

Completing this Data Science Program was challenging yet so rewarding.  My cohort began in February and ended in October.  I'm transitioning careers after being a Math Educator for 15 years and was new into the world of Data Science and Programming so it was definitely an adjustment.  The videos/curriculum and weekly zoom meetings with our mentor were really beneficial through out the course of the program.  I was able to successfully apply what I was learning to monthly hands-on projects that gave me field experience to build my portfolio as I transition careers.

It’s been a challenging yet truly exciting experience completing my Postgraduate Program in Data Science and Business Analytics. Coming from an engineering background, this was my first deep dive into the world of Data Science and Computer Science - and it’s been nothing short of transformative.The quality of the course materials, the well-structured learning process, and the support from the faculty were all at a great level. I’m grateful for the knowledge, skills, and inspiration this program has given me, and I’m excited to apply everything I’ve learned to real-world problems ahead!

I have a master's in accountancy and have been working as an internal controls analyst for the past several years. I knew that I needed do add skills to my expertise in order to propel my team into the future of finance which uses AI and machine learning. I am working full-time and am a full-time mom, this course was flexible and fit into my chaotic schedule, allowing me to learn at my pace, get any support I needed + successfully complete the course, adding a valuable skill set to my repertoire.

The boot camp was an incredibly valuable learning experience. The program was well-structured and covered a wide range of topics in a short time. I appreciated the balance between theory and hands-on practice . The curriculum was comprehensive and up to date with industry standards. However, some topics felt a bit rushed—perhaps more time could be allocated for project work. The instructors were knowledgeable, approachable, and always ready to help. Their real-world insights made complex concepts easier to understand.

This Data Science and Business Analytics program—conducted through the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin—is designed for executives and professionals seeking to expand their subject knowledge or pivot careers.
I began the program in August 2023 and, due to the demands of my prior profession, had to take a hiatus. Thanks to the understanding and flexibility of the program staff, I was able to resume my studies and complete the course in October 2025.
This program exceeded expectations from start to finish. The lectures were engaging and well-designed, and the practical assignments translated academic learning into real-world application. The projects were challenging yet rewarding, helping me build a strong professional portfolio.
The mentorship was outstanding. My mentor provided clear, constructive feedback, real industry insight, and ongoing encouragement. The program managers were proactive and genuinely invested in student success.
The curriculum offered comprehensive coverage. Individual course modules started with basics in Python and business statistics, followed by a thorough progression of machine learning topics (regression and classification models, ensemble techniques and model tuning, unsupervised learning), and concluded with introductory generative AI and SQL. While I’d love to see the AI section expanded with a project component, it still provided useful exposure.Completing this program gave me the technical foundation, confidence, and direction needed to move forward in data analytics. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to strengthen or transition their career.

I had a great learning experience.  The content was well-structured, videos were well developed, the faculty members were really seasoned, and the Mentored Learning Sessions were really well conducted by the industry experts.

I am a student of Great Learning and my experience had been great. However, I am doing a PGP on Data Science and Business Analytics. Indeed, I started with a zero knowledge on the program since I am not a tech person. Moreover, with the support of my mentor, program manager, and educational resources I had been able to understand the complexity of data and how to use exploratory data analysis to solve business problem.

It has been an amazing experience with the post graduate program in data science and business analytics. The curriculum provided for the course was very relevant to the market and the additional learnings do add a lot of value. The quizzes test our understanding of the concepts and allow to revisit the less known ones. The mentored lectures, useful tips and the insights provided by the mentors are really helpful in interview preparation. The most interesting and challenging project for each of the module was the best part of the program. As the scenarios provided were the real world business problem,  working on these projects has given me a thorough understanding of how actual data science and business models work in practice. This program definitely instilled in me the urge to keep learning and exploring the world of machine learning and artificial intelligence. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone who is interested

I'm learning a ton from the program.  It's intense and requires a lot of work but it's worth it.  The instructors are really excellent.  I like that they have an industry-type case study for each week.
